- Minneapolis, MN – The Minneapolis police chief announced that the department would no longer conduct sting operations to arrest dealers who sell felonious “small amounts” of marijuana, after allegations were raised that officers had unfairly targeted economically disadvantaged black men and women.
Undercover officers arrested over 100 people between January and May as part of a crackdown aimed at shutting down open drug dealing, WCCO reported.
Forty-seven of those arrests were felony marijuana sales.
Hennepin County chief public defender Mary Moriarty noticed that 46 of the 47 individuals charged were black, and quickly complained to Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, the Star Tribune reported.
Disregard the fact that police were engaged in shutting down open-air drug markets that the citizens had called and complained about degrading their neighborhoods - the end result was much more problematic than having a livable community.
- The police department says that they will continue arrest marijuana dealers, they will just halt the practice proactively conducting drug buys, which is how drug dealers get arrested.
Frey said that while enforcement against marijuana dealers may be taking a back seat, they will continue to make arrests against gun offenders and opiate dealers.
That is, until they found out the racial makeup of those offenders, too.

The fact is that in our modern PC culture people of color are a protected class. They are not to be arrested, tried and incarcerated for most criminal acts they might commit.
I just love it when these libtarded morons are surprised to find that criminals are mostly black men. This isn't surprising to anyone with half a brain, but the liberals are always shocked and appalled that black people are being arrested at higher rates than anyone else. They're the ones committing the majority of the crime, as always. It shouldn't surprise anyone at this point.
I don't live in Hennepin County anymore, and this sort of turbo derpage is one of the reasons why. I do business in the outer-ring suburbs along the I-94 bypass, but otherwise avoid the whole mess. Minnesota is a lot like Illinois in that the state at large is totally legit but the major city is slowly becoming a hellhole due to rich, stupid, white liberals with self-esteem issues running interference for hardened criminals and corrupt political vampires.
The rules only apply to those who pay income and or property tax. Soon they'll be locking-up whitey for putting the wrong type of material in the blue recycling bin. That'll level the playing field.
The state should provide these poor disadvantaged, underserved entrepreneurs with proper bullet proof attire so they may survive and prosper and provide for their babies...

Well, you should fully understand why this occurs. White privilege and white supremacy are to blame for this. These poor uneducated young black men cannot get a decent job. Nevermind that the country is not at full employment with companies begging for workers and blacks and hispanics have the highest employed rate in modern history. That is, if you can't find a job now you are not looking very hard. But, it must be society's fault that these inner city dudes dropped out of school, dress like hood rats and don't even look for a job. Society should publish a list of laws that black youth do not have to obey and will not be arrested for.

I’ve lived in both black and white neighborhoods in Chicago - and I can say with authority the black neighborhood’s drug and prostitution activities happen out in the street for all to see. I see it. Dealers offer me drugs. It’s out there. White neighborhoods? It happens, but it is done a way which does not attract attention. Which one is going to attract the attention of the neighbors? The cops?
I’m not advocating breaking the law, but if you want to break the law - keep that shit to yourself. You’ll stay out of prison longer and live longer if you can stop acting so foolishly.

The community that is being policed has a population of Blacks that are involved in illegal activity. The surrounding White community is more or less law abiding. And, within communities where these two specified business activities do not routinely, or so visibly, occur, same question.
