Judge Jacked
- A Will County judge was carjacked in Chicago’s Greektown area early Friday by a group who threatened to shoot him if he didn’t hand over his keys, according to the chief judge of Will County and Chicago police.
Judge David Carlson, 47, had attended a event in Chicago on Thursday evening before the incident happened, according to Chief Circuit Court Judge Richard Schoenstedt. About 2 a.m. Friday, Carlson was in his vehicle in the parking lot of Walgreens in the 100 block of South Halsted Street when several people approached him, pulled him out and put a hard object against his back, police said. According to [...] a Chicago police spokesman, one of the offenders said, “Give me the keys or I will shoot you.”
The group left in the judge’s vehicle, police said.
The car was located later, so "no harm, no foul" under Kim Foxxx's rules.

The judge is a stand up guy, a pro police judge. Used to be a Cook County probation officer back in the day while going to law school. Too bad the crime didn't occur in will county, the mutts would actually go to jail! Not criminal camp at 26 and cal to feast on pizza

Kudos to to the officers (1224R?) who at 3:30 am when driving the judge to his vehicle that had been dumped on the SouthSide, saw a 3-year-old child walking ALONE at 71st and Wentworth, scooped the toddler up and began going door to to door to find the egg and sperm donors. Sorry, can’t call lowlifes who let a baby wander around at 3:30 am parents.

Surely all "several" of them didn't line-up single file behind the one who "put a hard object against his back". They did, after all, remove him from the drivers seat of his vehicle, did they not? Did he close his eyes for the duration of the incident?
I can't wait to see where this one goes. I'll be periodically checking the CSPR's and Supps to see if anyone is ID'd via the magic of
Forensics. In the meantime I expect a detailed AMC message describing the offenders once the victim is reinterviewed.

Toddler was handed off to 007 officers since it was their district and 012 officers were already on a job.
Judge is the most law and order judge in Joliet. He is former will county states attny. Friend to many CPD
Probably true and glad to hear that but probably 90% of the judges were ASA’s at one time along with many defense attorneys who were former ASA’s. Being an ASA really doesn’t mean much. It’s part of the training for most atternwys interested in criminal law. Just a stepping stone and something for the resume
