Longer Gun Sentences?
- The aim of the law was simple: Repeat gun offenders in Illinois would face tougher sentences. But a Chicago Sun-Times review of sentences in Cook County since that new law took effect in January has found that no one is actually being hit with those stiffer sentences.
There hasn’t been a single case in Cook County in which a judge has meted out those extended sentences that Mayor Rahm Emanuel and police Supt. Eddie Johnson pushed for and that they and sponsor Sen. Kwame Raoul, D-Chicago, said would happen under the law.
So all of that public fighting and angst hasn't resulted in a single enhanced prosecution. Why is that do you suppose? Is it all smoke and mirrors? (HINT: yes)

It only goes as far as making the law and ends right there. Nobody ever mentioned enforcing it, especially with the KTT Cabal, Kim Tom and Tony.
Meanwhile in Springfield they try and take my guns everyday, Raoul, Harmon, etc. I served, I took the classes, stay legal as the laws are very confusing in the city and county.

They're waiting for the white guy to get locked up with a gun so they can use him as an example of the stiffer sentences. Can't have the black and brown guys getting tougher sentences, since there are already too many of them in jail.

Smoke and mirrors? Maybe some "lasers" should be added to the mix to make a Pink Floyd style light show. This could help calm things down at the lakefront.

It doesn't matter anyway. In 5-10 years they will say it racist since it disproportionately affect minorities. Then they will call us racist for enforcing the gun laws. Just look at the drug laws they passed in the 90's to combat the crack epidemic. Now the system is racist.

While you're on the topic, have you seen the Officer Safety Alert about the newly released parolee? Apparently the young man is on parole for a murder conviction which was reported under a "HY" RD number. I'm no math wiz but a HY would be sometime in 2015 which means the offender did less than 3 years for a murder. Only on Cook County!
Note the small print at the end of the bill. It states only enforced after 25 gun arrests.

I find that the two words, stiffer & sentences, somehow, just don't quite mean what they seem intended to mean......

The politicians in this city, county, state, only care about getting re-elected so they can rape, pillage and plunder the government piggybanks that they are sworn to watch over. Well there's the loophole, they actually do watch over them, ONCE they are in their "own" pockets! If a federal agency came into Illinois and audited the various piggybanks, so many people would be going to jail they would have to build more prison space! Neither will enforce or promote tough sentencing or incarceration for any UUW laws on the books that involve those disparities within urban communities.
Engage in their game of chase, catch and release and their handy hatchet team from COPA will respond affording you a chance to be the criminally charged, “to the fullest extent of the law”...fo no reason.

Let’s face it. Chicago and policing is now ended. SCC news is when something unexpected happens. Criminals not being hit hard is the norm in Chicago criminal system. Why time and ink letting is know what we already know.
A judge or alderman or their family members killed might move the justice meter. Might would be the optimum word. Non the liberals would just have us believe it was a case of mistaken identity. Will take several of these type events before they would open their eyes to what is happening.

A sliver? A shadow of a sliver? A rumor of a shadow of a sliver? A mirage of a rumor of a shadow of a sliver...?

Laws concockted by politicians are as potent as those who enforce them are permitted, and choose them, to be.
The Checks & Balances of Reality ensures this to be so.
The Law of Gravity enforces Itself.
The Useless must posture at being Useful.
The laws made by politicians are, at birth, null, absent the force to impose their requirements/prohibitions.
Thus, law making politicians have the value of nada, and those enforcing law have the inherent, potential value of infinity.
The politician, as is it's nature, presumes the absolute control of the enforcers of law belongs to them.
Only the choosing of the enforcers of law, to submit to this absolute control, gleans the constant flow of nada from the source of all nada.
This choosing to submit is the literal foundation upon which the politicians' house of cards lays it's onerous, bloated weight.
