More Magical Money

  • Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s administration is forging ahead with a plan to build “tiny homes” on vacant city lots to create “permanent housing options” for Chicago’s “most vulnerable residents.”

    Under fire for ordering a homeless encampment on Lower Wacker Drive to vacate the site while the city fences it off to prevent their return, City Hall has issued a “request-for-information” from housing developers and non-profit housing agencies interested in building tiny homes.

    Responses that will help the city “assess the viability of tiny homes within the context of local neighborhoods, the municipal code and affordable housing resources” are due back July 13.

    Development costs must “not exceed $2 million.” That means Chicago will be starting with a pilot about as small in scale as the homes themselves.
Near full employment in an economy that hasn't looked so good in 16 years, and Rahm has $2 million to burn. How about they rent some of the abandoned properties in Englewood from the banks (or city) and rebuild the hood? They aren't going to learn a damn thing if you give them everything.

Even better SCC...

Put Rahm's "Tiny Houses" on the former site of
U.S. Steel's South Works east of South Shore Drive
and from 79th to the Calumet River...

You know... That selfsame parcel all the real estate
lick hitters were blowing their bazoo about...

That selfsame parcel where some high-flying
"Yerpeein'" real estate consortium hiked up
their skirts and fled from when they got a
gander at the REAL environmental impact
studies/surveys and not those fraudulent
jumped-up documents Rahm was waving around.

Rahm:
"See? All done and you guys don't have anything
to worry about, just hurry up and break ground..."

>Wave! Flourish! Brandish!<

Yerpeein' Real Estate Consortium:
"Ha! Yeah, ya little pansy! Put the damned things
DOWN so we can ACTUALLY look at 'em!"

>Snatch!<

Yerpeein' Real Estate Consortium:
"WOTDAFUUUUUUUHHHHHHHK?"

Nobody in their right mind
will build on that nasty site.

But somebody beholden to Rahm can probably
get away with putting Rahm's "Tiny Houses"
there...

>Welcome To Rahm Emanuel Gardens!<

Sure, build the miscreants of Lower Wacker tiny houses. That way when they brutally rape a twenty something young lady as one did last nite on Lower Wacker they can do it instead in a tax payer provided tiny house. When they smoke their crack or shoot their heroine they can do it not in the disgusting filth of Lower Wacker but in their new tiny house. When they meet their commander shooting dealer they won’t have to do it in the shadows of Lower Wacker but will be able to meet them in their beautiful tiny house. When they have to piss or shit they won’t have to do it in the Lower Wacker doorway of a property tax paying building but can do it in their subsidized tiny house. When their done with their free meals from the bleeding hearts that dish them out on Lower Wacker they won’t have to throw the garbage on the ground right where their standing, they can throw it in their neat and tidy tiny house. When they need . . . awww, who the fuck are we kidding, mark my words, within weeks of these dregs of society moving into these tiny house encampments the places will have the same looks, smells and issues that have plagued Lower Wacker for years. What a fucking waste of tax payer money.

The city of Seattle did the same, they built a camp for the homeless where they can do anything they want like doing drugs, alcohol, peeing or defacating wherever. What ever they want to do it's ok in the camp and the city provides all the clean syringes they want. Well the news interviewed people from the neighborhood that this camp is in and the neighbors are furious. They say that the scubags dont't stay in the camp but come on to their properities and sleep and defacate in their yards as well as stealing delivered packages and mail from them. They leave their syringes all over even though the camp has bio hazard boxes for them. So guess what? The city is planning to build another camp on the other side of the city. Just google this, there is a news video on this story. The Democrats-destroying one city at a time!

Did you notice the big democrat cities, two being San Francisco & Los Angeles just give in to them a let them do what they want. Maybe these were the mopes that went to Woodstock years ago and are trying to relive that life style. Since the City has money to burn, what the hell are they going to do with our pensions. How about throwing some of that money into the retiree's healthcare that they took away.

Given stringent "no-PVC" plumbing code restrictions, should be interesting to see how this initiative jives with Chicago's union-protectionist Building Code. Anyone know whether Building Code or Zoning Code has a "minimum area for habitable unit" restriction too? Tiny houses are usually prohibited by most cities' and suburbs' Zoning Code restrictions on minimum size of dwelling-unit.

This isn't HGTV tiny house nation where you have some young somethings that want to either:

* Try to reduce their impact on the planet
* Get out of an apartment and own *something* to build some equity and work up....

This is some fucking pissbum who lives in LWD, etc. and even when they're offered resources to shower, shave, get some decent clothes and move out of that life, often refuse.

You think they are going to take care of the property? Keep it clean? Take off their shoes when they walk in? Arent going to shoot up/smoke out the place? Aren't going to accidentally burn the fucker down? Aren't going to horde it out with all the shit they pick up on the street? Aren't going to get robbed by other shitheads in Shanty - oops - Tiny House town?

Are they going to have working toilets/showers/sinks/kitchens in there? Who's going to PAY for the utilities? Water, Gas, Electric, sewers, trash pickup?

And you know the inevitable complaints will come shortly after these are built:

* We need cable!
* We need internet!
* We need phone!
* We need a computer!
* The >insert broken down whatever here< broke, and we need ya'll to come fix it!
* The toilet done clogged up!
* The roof leaks, and ya'll need to come fix it!

Figure that 90% of these assholes couldn't manage their shit well enough to work and live in a real apartment/house on their own and you want to GIVE them something new and believe they'll care for it? *ROTFLMAO*....

Figure the other 10% is so whacked out that they'll think it's a storage facility for their crap while they live on the street, and 50% of that 10% will end up burning them down from *something*...

Geezus - what a fucking waste of money.

A while back when Dougherty was the 41st W alderman, he once floated the revenue generating proposal that the City sell the property easements to the abutting homeowners who already fenced off and maintained their share of that square footage.
I can see Last Chance Rahm land grabbing these strips of well groomed alley space throughout the city and requiring that homeowners share that space with the feral unwashed hobbit.

Heck, Section8’Arena wants 8 floor SRO’s in the 45th W to house colonies of unemployed.

The share the wealth never ends.
In election years, even Shortshanks made a couple efforts to give (a) rebates of $259 to the tax paying homeowners while Rahm keeps giving back to the thankless unemployed freeloader.

Rahm2019 shags the stank out from crime infested Lower Wacker (and Lincoln Pk underpasses) due to affluent voter clamor, so where can the itinerate ogre going now?
Build it and they will come.
An entire village of tightly spaced wooden tiny houses makes a lot of sense, dud’nit?

This completely ruins neighborhoods, can then build them on north Hermitage by rahms home! wait a minute rahm was on TV talking about being an "empty Nester" he has vacant bedrooms, bathrooms and showers lets see if "rahm cares" and lets the homeless take refuge inside his home! Bet they cannot even find the "wedding dress!"

We have shelters for the homeless, but they won't go there because they can't drink or do drugs.

The "homeless veterans" (in quotes since I suspect many are lying) have the VA, but they won't go there because they can't drink or do drugs (or got a DOD, so they'd end up in a shelter).

I'm sick of people acting like these people are lovable, endearing "free spirits" in our community, bestowing us with "smiles" and "jokes" before asking us for our money.

Homelessness should not be legal. I understand the pointlessness of giving tickets to the indigent, but I'm not saying this to be mean. Being homeless is DANGEROUS. Even if you don't have mental issues, a lot of homeless people do, and plenty are willing to hurt or kill you because they're crazy, desperate for drug/booze money, or simply angry at their lowly status and feel like lashing out. Not to mention that some people, often younger males, in our society find it amusing and empowering to target bums for beatings or humiliation.

https://chicago.suntimes.com/entertainment/congress-theater-69-2-million-renovation-9-6-million-city-subsidy-logan-square-michael-moyer-eddie-carranza/

The plan approved by the Community Development Commission calls for the long-awaited project to be financed, in part, by a $9.6 million subsidy generated by the surrounding Fullerton-Milwaukee tax-increment-financing (TIF) district.

*Wow and more money will "richie Richie" rahm ever stop finding millions and billions? The only time he cries poor is when he is taking away police retirees health care and doing the bullshit "big short" on police pension fund!

This is an old video tape of Rahm growing up:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yddr5thpDTE

From throwing billions to illegals, even illegally giving them identification cards costing taxpayers millions to allow them to vote! Rahms hand picked city clerk Anna a young girl without any experience at all was picked to institute this plan by rahm, he gave her an offer she could not refuse! The offer a bigger CPD detail, more cars drivers, and another easy term in that job that does nothing but duplicates the dept of revenue and costing taxpayers about 100 million extra a year!

You have to wonder why does the city clerk, city treasurer have details coppers paid sergeants pay (Also getting the sergeants pension rate) and they have brand new fully tricked out unmarked CPD vehicles to whisk them away quickly anywhere they want to go! Hey mayor wouldn't it be cheaper to get them an Uber account? As another factor why not give up your expansive detail,and knowing you want your and your families ass catered to, hire a security company which would cost 1/3 less than we are paying now! Rahm you say your all about the environment and "going green" then why do you have a fleet of large SUV's that get at most 10mpg, and not buy say a Prius which gets 55 mpg saving taxpayers hundreds of thousands in fuel costs?

Leave Logan Square out of it.
