04 July Mayhem, Post II
These are snapshots of some video from the night of 04 July. Sorry about the quality:
In the top picture, you can see a largish explosion, possibly from a "mortar" type firework that is supposed to detonate a hundred or more feet up into the air.
In the second photo, a backpack sized object can be seen flying toward the lake. The e-mailer says it's flew out of from the explosion and into the water. Unfortunately, he was unable to send the entire video and the link he sent is from Facebook, which we don't utilize on general principle. Does anyone have a file they can send here? Or to Crime in Boystown - they're more social media savvy that we are.

In the 2nd video, that small object in the air is actually Tiny dancer trying to get away from you!!
SCC, don't know if you or your readers saw that video from the New York Post on July 4th showing a female dindu holding a homemade tube-like handgun and shooting rockets at a crowd of people across the street. It appears in the video the group of people was exiting a restaurant and the rocket fire scattered the crowd. Her three other dindu friends following her were recording it on their cell phones.
When I saw this, I thought: 1.)Don't be dumb and go into these areas for trendy restaurants on a holiday. and 2.) Always conceal carry whether legal or not. It will save your life.

Oh this is endearing, isn't it? Can you imagine these "kids" already have kids and are programming them to be just like them. Can't wait for 5+ years to pass and see what the area looks like then. And, we have Mad Max and Pfleger egging them on. Looking forward to about 100 or so arrests today when these kindergarten educated minds meet on the Dan Ryan. Here's hoping.

Talk to a retired bomb tech, he looked at the picture and said, someone took a large D-Class aerial device and ignited it in the backpack. He said, by the photo and the power of these aerial devices, he's surprised no one was kill.
If you have an iPhone you can open the Facebook video on the phone and use the screen record function on your phone to record it as it plays. Then just email it to yourself and open it on your desktop computer or whatever you use to write the blog. Google “screen record on iPhone”, it’s very easy to do. Be safe.
I hope that whomever set this 'mortar launched round' off, has another one go off 'wrong', sets his fucking garage on fire, and burns it to the Goddamned ground. Now if I was a mean person I'd say it should go off in his face and blow his f--king head off -- but I'm not like that so I won't (/s).
We have a similar asshole in our area to our East, somewhere within a block, who sets off Mortar Launched Aerial Bombs every damn holiday. He only sets off one or two so it's hard to pin down where the fuck-face lives. Why his next door neighbors don't call the cops beats the shit out of me. These are damn close to Commercial Grade Aerial Bombs!! They will Kill Somebody and will level a Garage or House.
A few years ago, one didn't go straight up and exploded towards our house -- the fucking thing actually Rattled Our Bedroom Window!! (I wanted to go hunting for the Jagoff after that bullshit.)
Why a person thinks setting off these commercial grade 'fireworks' is cool or 'fun' is mind-boggling. Then again, they probably torture small animals for a 'hobby' too. The sick fucks.

To any comments of an earlier post that this was not a shit show. Your wrong. I haven't been to the taste or any other large event in Chicago since 2005. That year while leaving the taste with my family, a group of wildlings was tossing fire crackers in the sea of people leavimg. One lit pack landed in front of my young child, luckily he was holding my hand and was able to pull him up before they went off. Never again. I take my family out of state for fairs and festivals, I'll ever attend another one here.
Looks like the crowd consisted of Amish and Asian youths funnin.
ISP rank and file, brass, and the riot team was PUNKED by Fadder Flegger and the community members. I was there in the middle of the shitshow. All lanes of traffic entirely blocked. How could you lay down like door mats ISP bosses, troopers were great BTW. But now troopers probably feel just as CPD officers do at the protests. PUNKED!
All in all assessment: ISP is LOST.
We had CPD/ISP/SOLP and many more resources which we could have easily taken care of the riot problem. Extremely painful to watch it all unfold.

Jag-offs in my neighborhood have been lobbing mortar rounds for 3 weeks now. Even in the rain storm the other night. It goes on until 0200. My dogs are so traumatized I can’t even get them to go outside unless I carry them. This has been the worst year ever going back 11 years. Crazy Kaplan’s must have had a super sale.

2 or 3 times a year we shut down the Ryan for major accidents, maybe more often, for a few hours.
In the last few years, we shut down the Ryan for shootings/murders another 2 or 3 times, maybe more often, for several hours.
Those come without warning.
"They" told the world they were shutting down the Ryan a week to 2 weeks ago.
Did anyone really expect "Them" to settle for one lane?
Any less than a full shutdown would have been failure on their part, victory for the man.
As for the people inconvenience, both NB & SB, you had ample warning. Do not airplanes try to fly around storms?
From now on, all Chicago xways may be shutdown for accidents, shootings and demonstrations, WITHOUT PRIOR WARNINGS.
After the Ryan shutdown, Saturday night,Sunday morning, were the people/folks so motivated that there was total peace?

About 12 years ago a " sub renter " drug fueled loser on a binge lit a 10 inch commercial mortar in the living room of a rental house next door to me. he did it to scare his naked girl friend. i was cutting my grass and saw it go off. Blew out every window and part of the roof. house was instantly fully involved. moron only dressed in shorts had sulfur burning in open wounds in his stomach. naked moron 2 instead of going out a window ran thru the fire. only reason they lived was mortar went thru ceiling and exploded in attic. bomb squad evacuated the block and they found another one right where we pulled the fool out could have been another blast. they had to bulldoze the house and build another one to code. landlord out 100 k over ins and fools got lots of costly peoples medical care including life flight copter for girl. these are not toys, in the wrong hands they are pretty efficient ieds. beware of strangers bearing things that go boom.
