I don’t know how many different programs are out there, but would love to see what the poor actually get in terms of money per month. From housing voucher, snap, hearing and electric assistance, cell phone and internet, school supplies, school meals, transportation expense and any other “free” services. I bet if you add up all the government money from federal, state and local the amount of tax free money is greater than that of someone making $50k a year. I just named a few and I am sure there are many more programs out there. To get $500 cash in my pocket I have to earn over $750 gross on my check.

That, combined with defining a citizen as having at least one parent who is a citizen, evaluation and deportation of all non-citizens, and strict border controls, would eliminate most of the problems we constantly fret about within a hundred years.

I have a brilliant idea.... let pawar, rahmn and the others take a PAY CUT to pay for their idea! The taxpayers always get stuck with their nincompoopery! Your idea... you pay for it.
This sounds like something they tried in Finland (giving $685 dollars a month). But it's a small country and their system is completely different and they already have a very complete social safety net. And of course their taxes are very high on everything. Other trials like this are either underway or being explored in San Francisco, Ontario, the Netherlands and Kenya.
In the Chicago program I'd like to see how those chosen works out by race. Will there be a token Non-Hispanic white in the group? What about disabled vets, the elderly that barely survive, the widows of cops, those that have given something and been productive citizens. Of course no one is jumping on cars or blocking roads for them. The silent majority needs to wake up.
Maybe the people who received stiff increases in their property tax bills will vote out the likes of pawar, rahm and arena. None are deserving of capital letters.

There lots of good fine dining establishments and stores outside city limits that will save you outrageous valet and parking fees, bag taxes and other assorted city money grabbing schemes.
