Why Censor the Photo?
We've gotten e-mails from a couple of people who say that the Department has asked Facebook to take down the photo of the rifle offender in 016. We don't know why - it's not even a really good photo:
Again, it's an unverified rumor and we don't Facebook, but when half a dozen people get the same info to us, we have to wonder. Perhaps it has something to do with the offender's felony conviction and the unwillingness of the States Attorney to follow the law as written?

There was a rifle incident on 107th st in mount greenwood last year. Man armed with a rifle hunting rabbits and shooting cats on the street. He didn't like the ferol cats and was just executing them he did like rabbits and would dine on the tasty bunnies. When apprehended by police his police officer wife intervened and the entire episode went away. Remarkable.
Dart gave him a new dog and he was teaching it to hunt.

The states attorney (not sure which state Kimesha is the attorney for, must be the leftist state, not hard working, honest, taxpaying state) has zero interest in prosecuting anyone of color. The office is of the opinion that the police are the problem. No intentions on prosecuting or defending the statutes on the books. If we ever got a Supt. or a mayor who was honest with themselves and the people they are supposed to be serving, they would call it as it is. We have laws on the books that are there to be followed, including sentences and minimum sentencing. If these laws were adhered to, crime would be down. That is a fact and that is what the people should hear.
The only people that don’t want to be honest and make the necessary changes, are those who benefit from this corrupted system.

Way back in My day, [I'm talking the Kennedy Administration] I had to visit the dentist that specialized in prosthetics. Dad had court, so Mom had to take me on the bus, as she didn't drive. The Doctor took special care of me because he appreciated the Police, and in return, my Dad had loaned him a rifle to use on his rural property. The Doctor wanted to return the gun, and didn't expect Dad not to be there. Mom and I carried the rifle in a soft case from 71st and Paxton back to 107th & Kedzie. Bus drivers had raised eyebrows, but were polite as hell and didn't say anything. Simpler times, indeed!

Belmont and Harlem IS the ghetto. I know because I lived there for years. I moved out (thank God) to Norwood Park and life has been much,much better. On what basis was he brought in? It's not illegal to walk around with an inoperable firearm, unless he didn't have a gun card.
Take a real good look around your Norwood park area, you obviously just go to and from work and onto your 3 jobs so you cant really know what's going on. Compare stats on 16th district and the northwest end of 25 where both districts meet.
