Bogus E-Mail

And the fearmongers have started up with made-up "e-mails:"

It's BS people.

This is a picture that someone is passing off as CPD directions.

Relax.

UPDATE: Someone suggests it may be an outside agency, such as ISP, which might make some sense as some of their personnel aren't local. That wasn't how it was presented when it was forwarded to us by about a dozen worried cops.

Jesus Christ. Man up. Even if this was CPD, it is what it is! Boo hoo you might have to work overtime and actually engage someone! And you will get paid very well. This isn’t the first riot CPD might face! Do your job!

Whoever it is from, it's nice to see at least the acknowledgement that it's members may be juggling responsibilities outside this job, like daycare. CPD will hold onto that order until the 11th hour, and slap us with "that's why you get duty availability, now earn it" bs line.

Thats what happens when you plan ahead.

If you wait for some ass hat that scored in the bottom 1% to give you info to survive the street you in for a difficult day.

That merit clown will be way in the back telling you not to smile at protestors.

If you are a white male officer all cameras will be on you. The state Attorney will even say your a racist for just grabbing and locking up idiots of all colors.

That's been the standard, go to, ISP command response to anything out of the ordinary for at least 10 years. Fires, floods or famine, some brass ass in Springfield decided 3 days was the magic number for western civilization to be restored. Road troops laughed at it then and probably still do.

Only Special Ed calls a furlough a “vacation”.
I was told by an anonymous source that Special Ed was so worried for his health and welfare than he loaded up the Winnebago and skipped town, even turned off his cellphone after sending that email.
Last seen at a the Pilot Flying J in Channahon stocking up on consumables wearing a rain slicker and a stew pot on his head.
The sky is falling.

3 days is the amount of time disaster preparedness types recommend to be self-sufficient; it assumes that outside help will take 3 days to arrive and become effective from other State or Federal resources, such as FEMA and State-level EMA (FKA/Civil Defense and ESDA-Emergency Services and Disaster Agency). The bigger the disaster, the LESS likely you can rely on mutual aid from neighboring agencies, because they'll a) be tied up locally, b) unable to reach you, or even c) out of service due to damage and casualties.

3 days of money?! this guy isn't married and has no kids.
=============
If you don't have the resources to survive for 3 days you need to seriously reconsider your spending problems. Everyone should have an emergency store of cash locked up somewhere safe. Probably $1000 minimum. More if you have wives and kids that might need cash to get by. Things can get very sketchy very fast, and cash can solve a lot of problems. Not everything can be resolved by currency, but a lot of things can.

Maybe they figured those troopers could come help out the district Chicago ones if the shit hits the fan. When it comes to police, the more the merrier, especially during rioting. Use your brain.
