Trial Order

We have been gifted with the entire 118-page order entitled "Crowd Management and Control; 24 September 2018 Until Further Notice."

It's a monster and we'll be spending the weekend going over it. It verifies all the info we had the other day and includes all District deployments. We'd post the entire thing but that'd be irresponsible at the moment.

We certainly hope that this won't be implemented prematurely like the Cubs Playoff Order a few years ago where we were on 12-hour days for times the Cubs couldn't clinch or weren't even playing baseball. That was a waste of time and money and needlessly exhausted the troops, but knowing the current command staff, their ability to learn from past mistakes is questionable at best.

"Crowd Management and Control"?
In this case, the instructions should be about one sentence.
Maybe two.

JVD and LM....maybe suicide by cop. Tell anyone that has a question why or whats your take.....tell them to go out, grab a knife, and wave it around in front of a bunch of police officers and see how that works out for them....no takers.....because in the back of their head they reasonably believe they might be shot for such actions. Period. Challenge them to do so if they persist.

If the order is citing the date of September 24th as a start point that must mean it will be released today or tomorrow.

There’s no way they would begin 12 hour days before the conclusion of the trial, right? I don’t know how I’ll be able to handle 12 hour days answering domestics for a week (or more)

On a brighter note... congrats to the Intel softball team who won the “citywide” softball league by winning the south league and beating the north champion. Stay safe everyone the next month or so us retired guys are proud of you no matter what the media says.

I remember being at roll call, at the academy, for the Bulls game. Both the captain and the superintendent addressed the troops. It was a whole lot less wordy. The captain simply stated, "we will not give up our streets, dismissed". The 012th didn't go up in flames. Bosses that had some knowhow, balls & the decency to look out for their charges. What a sad, sad day it is that the brass does not have the brass to simply whats right.

This guy shouldn't be in charge of an elote (sp) cart on 26 th street much less a Chicago Police District . Good luck 10th District officers when the shit hits the fan. Watch each other's backs and go home safe . The Commander will not be there to have your back . Guy couldn't make a decision to save his life much less any of yours . God Bless the Police .

Until the ruling has been resolved at the Leighton Court House, starting Sunday, September 23,
2018 the Chicago Fire Department has implemented numerous pro-active measures to prepare
for this event. As of this date, the following provisions must occur by all members of the Chicago
Fire Department:
 All personnel protective equipment (PPE) including bunker gear, helmets, gloves, MSA
G1 mask, and Millennium APR masks, must be taken home by all off-duty members.
 All uniform clothing must be taken home by all off-duty members.
 All Companies Officers shall ensure that apparatus has been fueled by 1200 hours and as
needed.
 All fire stations shall continue to be secured. Only the front doors of the station, near
the officer’s desk, will be allowed to be unlocked. All other doors are to be secured 24
hours a day.
Our continued diligence is necessary to prepare for this event. It is only through the individual
efforts of every member of the fire department that we are able to be prepared for the ruling at
the Leighton Court House.

The password is “closing arguments”. That triggers the 12hr days to begin the next day starting at midnight/1st watch. I guess we can write off a tv and radio since a job requirement now is to listen to media lies.

Hopefully the union will give guidence to fill out overtime slips for maximum benefit: start time change of more than 2 hours, working 6th and 7th day, no lunch, etc. and your travel to a different work site is tax deductible too.

Parking lot party here we come!!!

According to the 1st Deputy at a meeting, ALL Rdo’s will be cancelled and we will go to 12 hr shifts beginning with 1w at 1930 hrs the night that they go to closing arguements. 1w hours are 1930-0730. 2w 0730-1930. ALL 3w (working, rdo, desk) will report to a designated staging area in their personal cars at 1330 to be deployed as needed in CTA busses.
1st and 2w will cover the districts. 1w rdo and 2w rdo will cover the critical locations in the district designated by the commanders. Tact will work in the district with 0700, 1000 and 1200 start times unless they were designated to be a rapid deployment company (ninja gear). If so they will report to the staging area but will be the LAST resort as they want the “soft look” out there first. (IE helmets on the bus)

You have had weeks of "a head start." What have YOU been doing?
You knew weeks ago that your days off were going to be cancelled and you would be working 12 hour days.
The whole department was talking about it.
Are you that dumb you need it written on paper before you take action?

My favorite part of the order is about NAME TAGS.

Make sure to have every EVIL officer with a name tag on so people committing crimes can video record them and then file worthless complaints about how the police scared them.

Don't carry any batons or ASP they scare people too.

Helmets dont worry a Crown CAP in a riot will protect that fleshy eyeballs.

NO black leather gloves either it looks so 1990's and scare hipsters.

Make sure to wear your shiny badge on the outside so idiot can rip it of your shirts for a trophy!

Bull rap. They don’t need to put us on 12 hour shifts Monday. Things don’t happen suddenly in court. They already know how many defense will be presented then there are closing arguments and a verdict. This will definately run over a week. They had time estimates so why put us out there Monday. How do you tweak a plan involving riots, civil unrest when there is none and you have no idea about the number of participants or locations. Makes no sense. You do what they are doing. You make a plan and if the civil unrest’s your tweak when it happens. In those types of situations, it’s fluid and you have to be able to tweak in the move
Not tweaking when you have thousands of officers sitting around for two weeks doing nothing

Merit or not is another story altogether. What can not be disputed, is that he is one of a short list of commanders with the balls to step up and do something about the bullshit that we as POLICE OFFICERS are tasked with keeping under control. And he’s not just barking orders, he’ll be right out there with the troops.

And since you are curious and you will likely be hiding somewhere, I’ll give you a clue where to find him- right in the front and in the middle of the shit, being the police and doing YOUR job.

1000 is a pimple compared to the legendary 1020/1070 Sgt Ramon Ferrer. Back in the day 1020/1070 could handle the entire district by himself and, could even handle the south end of 011. 1000 couldn't be a pimple on 1020/1070's A$$. The only person ever to put 1020/1070 in his place was none other than, MR.T..

For those of you who were lucky to be around when 1020/1070 was out in his place by MR. T, that was priceless. It was even more hilarious when 1020/1070 challenged MR.T to meet him in alley, Alone. LOL.
