Off Duty Shot At
- An off-duty Chicago police officer was shot at Tuesday morning around 11:30 a.m. while chasing three suspects on Chicago’s South Side.
Police said an off-duty officer witnessed a shooting involving a 21-year-old man exiting a vehicle at 81st Street and Loomis Boulevard, in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood. Gunfire was reported from a vehicle that pulled alongside him, police said.
The off-duty officer pursued the vehicle, and gunfire was exchanged, police said.
Three weapons were recovered. Initial reports don't list any subjects in custody, but this may have changed. Be careful out there.
(UPDATE: Conflicting info among the media as to whether this was a Chicago cop or a suburban officer.
Regardless, Special Ed stripped him of his badge, arrest powers and assigned him to callback.

Kidney Bean make sure he is stripped— railroaded lol.... how’s the plumbing work on that kidney, hope you got a 90K mile warranty on it too
I may be wrong, but is that not where Fahey and O'Brien were murdered? Or were they murdered on Morgan?
Think it was a Robbins Officer

Either way, why anyone would chase let alone exchange gunfire in defense of an Englewood “victim” is beyond me.
Supt gunna be stippin dat office
Thought it was an off duty Robbins cop.
Stay away. Don’t do anything. Why is that so difficult to follow?
It was an off duty Robbins police officer, not Chicago. 2 in custody, 3 weapons recovered. From someone on scene.
Luckily no bystanders were hit during a running gun battle on the streets of Chicago.
Not the police, I have a question, when an officer is stripped for involvement in a shooting, can he/she still carry a firearm or is the stripping of an officer also disarming him/her while they wait for the outcome of the investigation?
If it was CPD THERE would be none in custody. The area detectives would be begging for information.
Special Ed still has more questions than answers on this incident.
Robbins copper. 3 in custody. 3 weapons recovered.
Kidney bean should be testifying in court right now instead of trying to fk a copper of a job. Thank God he's a suburb cop.
Robbins has call back?

81st & Morgan
One of the offenders in custody, is 18 years old and this is his 6th UUW arrest. I’m sure he will beat this case as well.
Off duty = act as a well trained witness.
Regardless of where any officer works, my advice is as follows: Unless there is an immediate threat to you, your family, your friends or an obviously innocent victim; observe, call it in and give the details. The last thing one wants to involve him or herself in is a gang/drug/social media beef involving scum.
I have more questions than answers at this time.
2 in custody and 3 weapons recovered. I’d say, nice job.

I'll field this one. Shut up and go play on another blog.
Fahey and O'Brien were murdered on Morgan st. not Loomis...
81st & Loomis? That can’t be. Crime in that neighborhood? And with a GUN?
Isn’t that just a stones throw from Fr. Fakers church? Why isn’t he in front of
a camera to protest this?
Guess they haven't gotten the fetal policing memo in Robbins.

About 7 or 8 years ago a tact team in 006 or 007 and their lieutenant hit a house in their district. The subjects fired a rifle at the team. Two officers and their lieutenant was struck.
The bad guys were arrested and charged with over 300 counts. Nobody laid a hand on them. No excessive force whatsoever.
They were convicted.
One of the defendants conviction s were OVERTURNED after Anita Alvarez’s ASA called one of the defendants a thug and criminal in front of the jury.
End result- one guy charged with over a 100 felony counts including attempt murder of a PO went free. His conviction was overturned. The second guy got nine years. He should be out shortly.
Thanks Kimm Foxx. Thanks Anita Alvarez.
Hey Kimm. The families of those officers and their friends co workers and relatives are working to make sure you go the way of your predecessor Alvarez.
Nobody voted for you, Kimm Foxx; tey voted against Anita Alvarez.
Keep that law license handy. You’ll need it at the Public Defender’s office.
