Dumb Idea Pays Dividends

  • It’s hard to gripe with the general idea behind the Chicago Community Bond Fund (CCBF). The organization raises money to post bond for people who cannot afford to post their own while awaiting trial.

But there seems to be a problem.

One man who was freed by the fund while awaiting trial for attempted murder in North Center went on to be arrested four times in three months for battering and threatening people in Boystown. Despite being arrested repeatedly while on bond and even being ordered to serve two jail sentences for those crimes, his bond was never revoked.

And a transgender woman accused of robbing a man in Boystown in 2017 was freed by the fund in May 2017. Since then, she has repeatedly skipped court dates and she has been arrested three times. The bond fund was twice ordered to forfeit the $50,000 it risked on the woman’s freedom, only to have the money given back after filing motions with the court. Most recently, a litany of social service agencies virtually begged the court to let the woman go free on bond again. The judge agreed. And the woman is now AWOL. Again.
Hop over and read the whole article. The writers over at Crime In Boystown are about the only actual journalists in Chicago any more.

Chicago is a city run by criminals for criminals. Honest citizens support the criminals through taxes and other robberies of their wealth.

Enter stage right, Ms. Kim Foxx, Cook County State's Attorney. Followed by the Cook County Circuit Court. The entire Circuit ladies and gentlemen. Lets have a hand for the mob more responsible than any others for the crime wave on the streets of Chicago. Then you have that moron, Thomas Dart bragging how few people are in jail. Right nit wit, they are on the streets causing street crime. So lets us all go to the polls next month and vote for these MF'ers and wonder why the city is unsafe mostly everywhere now.

I went over to the CWB Website and read the entire article. What irks me in that entire circle-jerk regarding those two criminal cretins isn't the actions of that Bleeding-Heart Liberal organization ponying up the Bond money for the two cretins, but the idiotic decisions of the f--king Judges!

What.The.Fuck. is the point of even arresting these assholes if the Goddamn Judges refuse to order Bond amounts that fit the crime and criminal history of the arrestees, and Bond amounts which would act as deterrents to other career criminals.

And then, once out on the street, the criminal cretins go on mini crime sprees, making a mockery out of the goodwill shown to them by the Charitable Organization, and giving the Judges the proverbial middle-finger for the leniency shown to them all through the proceedings.

And then, when the assholes are finally in front of the Judges again, they take it! Dammit to hell, if the actions of these animals while out on Bail isn't showing 'contempt' for the court I don't know what is.

So is it any wonder why crime in Chicago & Cook County is out of control? The entire 'justice system' is a joke. It's a textbook example of, FUBAR. The entire system needs to be dismantled and rebuilt from scratch!

CBF: when you get a PRO to style your hair before
going on camera (L side: 2 individual strands out of

R side: hair neatly tucked in by frame).
It's all accident reconstruction: she's made up to look

you have a Democratic Operative.

Chicago judges aren't the only ones who believe that bonds (and forfeiting them) should not be used to "punish" alleged offenders. This is a theory of "reform" that is taking off in jurisdictions across the country. The idea is that it is the "poor" who are the most unfairly impacted by bonds/bail. In an effort to alleviate this financial burden, a number of commentators, academics, and judges, have argued that courts should use "alternative methods" to ensure that the accused appears for court and is not a threat to the community while he/she awaits their next court date. Of course, that's the THEORY. In reality, like all feel-good practices our courts come up with to deal with criminals, it doesn't work. And the reason it doesn't work is because those who come up with these bright ideas refuse to acknowledge that there are some people who simply are unwilling to abide by the normal constraints (laws) society places on its members so that we don't end up in a state of anarchy. But very few of these judges, academics, and other bleeding-hearts ever have to live near the thugs released by their policies, and very few of them ever have to live with the (often negative) consequences of releasing repeat criminal offenders back into the community. Is it all bullshit? You bet it is. But it's bullshit that those who live in ivory towers never have to clean up themselves.

The problem with that program is it ISN'T THEIR MONEY! The point of bond is incentive to come to court. If someone I didn't know posted my bond I wouldn't really care to show up.

Don’t do the crime (again and again and again)
if you can’t do the time.

CCBF will run out I’d other people’s money at that rate.
But the Restorative Justices of Cook County are bailing out the bailers for those bond forfeitures.
KimmJimDandy to the rescue.

Plenty on loon-libs like MacArthur Foundation give heartedly to CCBF.
Wonder how much CCBF pockets for administrative costs and upkeep?

How about a Illinois Dept of Revenue audit of that CCBF tax exemption?

(OT) Oh no "lyin toni" again rears her ugly head following the democratic mantra "lie, cheat, steal:

Watchdog report found no one checked on Toni Preckwinkle when SUV was found after '16 election. She says otherwise.

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/politics/ct-met-preckwinkle-security-detail-suv-report-20181018-story.html

Best part excerpt:
Later in its findings, the report concluded the investigation did not find evidence that any department employee “sought to confirm the safety of the President or the Security Specialist Operator during the night.”

* Swat look out this overpaid obvious drunk Otis is an "operator" like Navy SEALS are operators, he is compared to that! That is like CPD "security specialists title"absolutely no extra training unless you count these skills:

1) Getting sergeants and commanders pay and taking that rate pension steal (how is that investigation going, Hauser was looking into stopping this but stepped down hmm the Chicago way).

2) How to copy yellow slips daily for extra overtime (Gee wonder true costs of rahms/Tonis massive details?).

3) How to run redlights

4) Coat holding 101

5) Proper door opening procedure.

6) How to order coffee properly.

7) Keep repeating rahm lives in city protect wedding dress ploy.

To: The VanDyke GoFundMe me reminder. The Blasey fundraisers is a sad statement in society, but remember, there are many members donating through credit union transfers and 100% of that money goes to the VanDyke family, compared to the reduced level of GoFundMe. Gofundme is more convenient since you can do it from your sofa, but it is not the only fund raising effort. I believe anyone can go into the credit union and deposit into the Vandyke account, even if you dont have a credit union account. Tally all the fund raisers and we may get closer to the fundraisers you've compared them to. I'd like to know as well but dont have direct access to any of it.

Response to 10/19/2018 01:15:00 PM RE: WAYS TO HELP THE JASON VANDYKE FAMILY

My intent was to remind the troops...and hopefully keep the donations coming. As you know out of sight, out of mind. Also, there is a degree of difficulty involved as many retirees leave the area, and can't just go to a credit union to make a donation.

Go fund me is convienient , but yes there are fees....but again convienient and better than nothing.

Maybe I'm out of the loop, but I'm not seeing much activy about benefits/fundraisers.

I don't know of a central source that would identify benefits/fundraisers for Jason VanDyke. If you could let us know where, when, how, maybe more of us could show up, donate, or even volunteer to help.

Thanks for your interest, and please let us all know about fundraisers/benefits for Jason and his family.

(as you know these posts get lost in the mix after a few days....and I don't know how to keep the reminders going without them dropping out of sight)

This suntimes hit piece on a judge tells us where this comes from: https://chicago.suntimes.com/news/bail-reform-cook-county-judge-michael-clancy-timothy-evans-bond-court-injustice-watch/

these are FELONIES they're talking about. Getting arrested is NOT a deterrent in cook co., getting convicted is NOT a deterrent in cook co.. and these judges are actually violating the order by giving 'affordable' bail to VIOLENT defendants.

P.S. vote yes on Clancy.

from the article:

"Evans’s order requires felony bond court judges to make a determination on whether a suspect is dangerous. If a judge believes a suspect shouldn’t be released based on nothing more than a promise of returning to court for trial, bail is supposed to be set at an amount a defendant can afford. Under the chief judge’s order, those considered dangerous should be held without bail.

“The net result would be no one would be held pretrial based upon an inability to pay,” Evans said when he announced his order.

The move came amid a push for bail reform that had the backing of Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle, Sheriff Tom Dart, Public Defender Amy Campanelli and State’s Attorney Kim Foxx, in addition to activist groups who complained the bail system was unfair."
