The More You Know
- “Hey Siri, I’m getting pulled over.” With that one phrase, drivers can get an added sense of security the next time they’re pulled over. With a new app called Shortcuts, iPhone users can create their own verbal commands to trigger their phones to perform a wide variety of actions – all without needing to press a button or touch the screen.
Now, Redditor Robert Petersen of Arizona has created and publicly released the add-on “Police.”
One quick phrase will discreetly direct your phone to turn down distractions, send an alert to an emergency contact and start recording whenever you’re pulled over by police.
How about, "Hey Siri, I got caught driving like an asshole."

So what? Everything is on camera anyway. Dude waisted his time creating an irrelevant app. Im going to create an app that work like a police scanner...
I know how to solve that problem - don't stop anyone, in a car or on foot - problem solved!
But after yesterdays verdict, that answer was a given.
Stay strong JVD, you and your family are in my prayers.
Sounds like a waste of cell phone battery, everything we do is already recorded.
I would never pull over or do anything anymore unless under duress.
How about "Hey Siri I got caught driving like an asshole?
Siri: I understand you were caught driving like an asshole. Turning on interior lights, rolling down driver's side window, pulling over to a safe area, turning off engine.
Keep your fucking hands on the wheel and your seatbelt on until the Officer tells you what's up.
And Jimmy - sit still in the fucking passenger seat, no one cares if you have weed any more."
Jimmy: "*cough* *cough* who me?"
Siri: "Yes you, you dumbass. Don't make me call your mom."
Jimmy: "Ok Siri."
...
Fast Forward a few years to Version 2.0 of the app...
* Where Siri controls the autopilot
* Where Siri negotiates with the Copper's AI
* Where an AI plays the part of an attorney
* And where the driver has even less of a clue as to what's going on than normal...
And Jimmy's still baked out of his skull.
That app is too late.
The Police walking up to you is a t.v. recording studio with shoes.
I Think all these cameras are proving that the police are not the problem.
Hey Siri, I’m an assh*le liberal who lives in my parents basement, will work at Starbucks the rest of my life because nobody else will hire me because I have blue hair and an anti-authority attitude, but yeah I’ve been pulled over and now I’m going to take my shitty lifestyle choices out on a police officer who I will bait by berating and calling him/her a racist/sexist/homophobic/xenophobic/nazi because of the path that I chose in life.
I’m gonna tell my phone, “Hey Siri, where are we going for lunch?”. Then we’ll debate it for 30 minutes.
How about, "Hey Siri, I got caught driving like an asshole."
Maybe that's the code they use to start recording? Not a bad thing, in any case.
Haha, silly Siri. I don't do traffic stops anymore.
Siri, what do I say if I have no driver’s license, car insurance, I have a gun & weed under my seat and I blew through a Stop sign at a high rate of speed and I feel like I’m bein’ racially profiled...
Don’t stop anybody are you nuts if you do.
How stupid! The one time I got pulled over, it was my own fault. I treated the officer with the utmost respect, and in the end, was let off with just a warning. I don’t need Siri. I trust officers, and will continue to do so. Thank you for the thankless jobs you do, and stay safe.
I still have a flip phone. Works great.
Ha! Like any one is pulling anyone over anymore.
Here's a good app to develop for on-duty L.E.O.'s-
Copper: Hey Siri where's a good place to eat thats safe for cops & treats them decent?
Siri: The ________ at _______ is close & has good reviews.
Copper: Thanks Siri.
Siri: Your welcome, now don't go acting like an a-hole & ruin it for other coppers & for goodness sake leave a good tip!
Siri, I dindu nuffin!
Isn't it a crime in Illinois to record someone without their consent?Stay Safe Blue.Thanks for all you do.
"Hey Siri im getting car jacked"
This problem is easily solved. Think about JVD, COPA, and the politicians before you start your tour. Then adjust accordingly. Be safe
Further dumbing down on society. You need a computer to tell you how to properly behave in a police traffic stop. Gee, pull over and be polite, follow instructions, answer questions. How hard is that ? Do you need Siri to tell you to wipe your butt after a shit or tell you to wash your hands ? How stupid can people get now.
You are on film wherever you go.
Cameras are everywhere. From where you eat or at residents or businesses you go on a call at
Watch out...
How about asking it, “hey Siri, is the NSA and deepstate listening to me through this phone?”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~That's like 60% of the stops on the north side.
Hey Siri, do I still have a warrant?
More like, "Hey Siri, how come no cops in Chicago ever pull me over when I drive like an asshole?"
If any copper does think they are always being recorded anyway who cares? Just another nail in the anti-police narratives coffin, as a society with the democrat from when barry obama talked his lies, until now the democrats have created this "war on police" and they will have to live with these results!
233am- and that’s the truth a bunch of pussies they are. They serve coffee, or coffee Jockies whatever they want to be called. So since the liberal jagoffs owe 100k on college tuition they want to be called . Baristas. You got that mom and dad. I’m a barista at Starbucks I just don’t serve coffee.
Always admissible in COPA Cook County - no legal standard applies.
Counter the possible interaction by speaking low and having the volume on the radio up, and rather than having the mic on your shoulder, position it on your vest lower and closer to the asshole, lawless ig’nint driver.
A portable white noise (why it gotta be white) generator (jammer) is available, it’s about the size of a pack of Chesterfields.
Nice addition to a molle.
Of course, that’s if you’re willing and hard charging enough to do any type of Stops anymore.
Rather be Fetal.
I hate traffic court, always did.
If you stay fetal you dont have to worry about this.
Siri and Alexa are for lower IQ types.....
A long time ago .. a wise man once said. “ just assume someone is watching you all the time”
So re-purpose it: "Siri, I'm alone with a woman. Activate the Kavanaugh protocol"
Thirty years (or 30 minutes) later, when you're being accused of harassment / rape, you'll be glad you have an electronic alibi.
Siri: I understand you're being carjacked. Activating flame throwers on outside of vehicle now.
*fooooooooooooooommmmmmmppppppp* *aiiiiieeeeeeyyyyyy sheeettttt*
Siri: Is the carjacker burnt up?
Owner: Yes, Siri. Thank you.
Siri: You're welcome. And thank you for being polite. As you can see, being on my bad side is not advisable. Have a wonderful day...."
Well videos worked so well for Van Dyke. Smile you all on candid camera all the time. Better get used to it
Won't matter in Chicago because traffic stops are now officially a thing of the past. We are the CPD we don't need no stinking traffic stops.
With the stop light cameras and speed cameras who needs to do traffic stops. Your traffic ticket is in the mail fool. Just how will Seri help out with that?
Parking violations soon to be mailed automatically, eliminating need for meter maids. Just a time stamped picture of plate will get ticket started. Great new revenue stream coming soon.
Annnnd the liberal drama continues.
Don’t forget to add in Uber or lift driving on the side just to make ends meet
Don’t pull anyone over if you don’t want to be videotaped.
Problem solved.
In some neighborhoods, you are not a man if you show any respect for the man or even show mere tolerance of any outside authority. That's just the culture.
"Hey Siri, Stop recording". problem solved.
New for 2019 CPD Tactical makeup kit. For the officers of the 21st century that care about their appearance. Gone are the days of being stranded on the street naked and afraid...
Alright, I'm ready for my closeup now mr. johnson
Off topic, the other night we directed two piss bums to a Star Bucks.
I follow your blog and wanted to comment - hope this makes it through the filter. I wasn't born here but have been here all my life and every day I think about how fortunate my family and I are to have made it here (originally as political asylum fleeing marxist/communist dictatorship). I am down the middle politically (pro 2A, school choice but more liberal on tax policies/unions/regulations etc) but have always been a strong supporter of the police. Most people who were born/raised in the US (in my opinion) are a little more naive/idealistic about how the country should defend itself (both in foreign policy and also domestically with the police). And we are a very easily misled society so the minute something goes viral everyone jumps on the bandwagon. I think that is one of the reasons that even though police shootings are a very rare occurrence they're treated as though it's just open season, especially when it comes to people of color.
That having been said, as a reader of the blog I am sometimes a bit surprised at how many commentators seem to push this "us versus them" mentality. The fact that many people would feel like the have to surreptitiously record a common encounter with the police is suggestive of a big problem. Is some of that unfair in the sense that people are assuming all cops are dirty and to be feared? Absolutely. But if we are to bridge the disconnect between the police and the public, I think it's also fair to ask the police community to look inwards and ask themselves some tough questions. We are all old enough to know that no disagreement/argument is EVER purely one sided with respect to the truth. No one side has a monopoly to the truth.
Siri sucks. I wanted to delete some emails so I said “Siri, How do I delete emails” and her answer was “call Hillary”.
You haven't truly thought this out, thoroughly or honestly.
I'm gonna help ya out a bit.
The ONLY truth that is not POV affected is the truth of the effects of the Physical: Substances of Solid, Liquid and Gaseous. Forces of Gravity, Electro-Magnetic, Thermal (rate of motion of substance particles relevant to each other), Emissions of Wave Structured, etc.
Deny truth present in physical phenomenon and you lose.
The Perspective, aka, POV, of individual perception is the crux of your stated assertions.
Your posted comment begins with you defining your POV, then presenting your background as foundation for your POV, then explaining your reasoning for your POV, all just to lead to your concluding suggestion.
Now, truly, what did anything you posted in your comment have to do with enforcing the law?
Ya know, those "rules" you imply both that you kinda support and the cause/motivation for you being here, in America, at this very instant?
En Force.
Using Force to compel compliance with Law.
Law is: Must Not Do or Must Do.
All other rules not that are mere suggestions.
Each is responsible for their own individual POV. Moment to Moment. Breath to Breath. Heartbeat to Heartbeat. Asleep or Awake.
When Law Enforcement Officer initiates contact with anyone, that specific anyone has the same obligation of determining their own POV as the Law Enforcement Officer. Precisely the same obligation.
We are, after all, animated forms assembled of substance, meat, blood and bone, individual persons, are we not?
And Law Enforcement is the accepted means by which we manage those disagreeable disagreements which are the subject of your comment, right?
To cut to the chase here, rarely do we hear of conflict concerning citizens and Law Enforcement Officers that do NOT involve Criminals complaining. Criminals, plus their kin, Criminal buddies, cohorts, retarded neighbors, etc.
And the loudest screamers are the most Criminal. This especially includes Politicians.
Ponder that.
Siri sucks. I wanted to delete some emails so I said “Siri, How do I delete emails” and her answer was “call Hillary”.
Did you resist the temptation to use, "Better Call Hillary!!!", as the punch line?
