In another case a cop I knew, voluntarily signed into the Psych Ward at a Southside hospital, and again the hospital notified ISP, and his FOID was suspended. And as of 1 January, a new law is on the books in Illinois, where virtually anyone can say you are dangerous, and your firearms must be surrendered to Big Government. So Punk Munoz needs to give up his "Shit". Since he is a former Latin King, perhaps his "Crib" should be raided to make sure they get all his "Shit". Also note that Burke, as part of his bond, must surrender his 23 firearms, and that includes the snub nosed .38 he carries on his ankle. She was calm, cool and collected when she talked to the reporters. She presented herself quite well and does not appear to be your typical hood rat. She said instances of domestic violence were never previously reported because of not wanting to damage his public image and she did not want to lose her privacy, but now the time had come to move forward.

If what you say is true that’s not good so a disgruntled girlfriend can say you drunk dialed her and when they take you to Swedish during registration you lose your FOID card. Just because of a phone call you lose the FOID card. You can’t work without one and it’s been said without a FOID card you can be placed in a no pay status
That sucks and giving big government that kind of power or having a wife make that call during a divorce saying you hit her about the body and you get suspended without pay

Starting 01 Jan 19 ANYONE CAN MAKE A COMPLAINT THAT YOU ARE DANGEROUS, HAVE YOU TAKEN BEFORE A JUDGE, AND YOU HAVE TO PROVE YOU ARE NOT. The new law went into effect on January 1. Think about this for a minute: Someone does not care for you or you have a argument with a person. They call the police and report that you treathen them and they were in fear of their life. Even if the police don't arrest you, this person can go to court and get a order of protection against you. There is a court hearing and a judge finds for the complainant. You loose your FOID card and your guns are taken away. If you are the Police you are suspended. Like the man said: Be careful in what you wish.

the above 5 star post is correct except for one thing. you lose your foid immediately when charged, the state suspends it making owning one bullet a felony. only after your court date 2 or 3 weeks later will you get it back if the case is unfounded as most will be. real hassle for someone to go thru that has a snowflake use this law as revenge against someone. no repercussions for the accuser if case is found to be b.s. 95% of o.p. s are bullshit tools in divorce, domestics and neighbor disputes. free speech is dead and those that like to brag about having their glock will be getting bitch slapped by the system. tell nobody nuttin!
