Liberals could not survive without conservatives to support them monetarily and protect them with Police and Military. Conservatives, on the other hand, could survive quite nicely with liberals.
Why is the FOP not endorsing Garry Francis McCarthy for Mayor?? How can the FOP not endorse a cop in this race? By refusing to do so, whether you like him or not, you are allowing Bullwinkle the opportunity to run unopposed come election time. The only person close in recent polling data is GMac... So I see on the news that a new law went into effect requiring your employer to pay a potion of your phone bill if you are required to have phone available for their use. I'm assuming that General Order requiring a phone available for them to call you might get rewritten or FOP better get off their ass and address this issue?
Be safe, be smart hope 2019 is a better year for CPD. Lets hope the new mayor isn't an anti police pandering libtard. Looking forward to retro🙏🏼

Lay off the koolaid. He was never the police he was New York merit. He was rham's henchman suspending everyone in sight because it was reforming the department most of those suspensions where overturned or reduced.
Regarding phone bills. You have always been able to deduct "basic" phone service from your taxes if your job requires you to have a phone.

You forget all the bullish.. he was responsible for, joining two districts, reducing manpower, using ppo’s as his personal citywide unit, his policies have damaged the department for years to come. Let him go be the mayor of New York.
Not the police, but have family members in Law Enforcement and I have my Concealed Carry. My New Years resolution, give no quarter to anyone commintting a forceable felony against me (home invasion, robbery, car jacking etc....) deadly force will be applied.

Happy New Year to the CPD. My retired husband and I thought of you last night at midnight as he recollected spending new years under a viaduct for the first 20 years of his career. He doesn't miss it and I am thankful he is collecting his pension and enjoying his life. I wish the same for all of you. God Bless

Hey Scc did you read article where sheriff's deputy was given NO bond for "inappropriate touching" of his ex-girlfriend's daughter. Judge Stephanie Miller, the same Judge who gives murderers and actual repeated rapists low bonds. If the deputy is guilty then give him jail but how do you defend against allegations of inappropriate touching just days after it was reported the couple had falling out/order of protection filed. Could it just be possible these allegations are false and an officer is given no due process but repeat career offenders are constantly freed by this same Judge. This anti-police judiciary is getting scary here in Chicago.

I’ll give you a reason. If you retire retire by December 16 , you get your 3% COLA the following year in January and the next COLA a month later. Usually around $2000 and for the rest of your life you get $2000 a year more on the pension
But by doing this you forego the V days, BFD’s P, s and 1or2% increase in your accumulated CU
Takes a few years to make up for that, but then it’s all extra money

Yesterday, the 3rd & 1st Watch Lieutenants got into a huge fight over who would take responsibility of rule 14 that is sure to follow, it seems neither one of them wants to take the fall for lying about the times on the report. Those stupid merit hacks lied on the case about the time, and the SDSC goofs had the shit up, laughing about how dumb the "bosses" were. Earned not given, right?

But YOU seem to be missing the entire point. You're comparing unelected exempts to the elected office of mayor. Well, we don't vote for our exempts, so whether they care or not is out of our control. We don't get to vote on whether they're competent, or not.
We're voting for MAYOR, not for superintendent. He was a poor 'leader', a poor administrator, a shill for the ACLU and he has no work experience that would indicate he could be a good mayor, or leader, or visionary for a city he moved to a few years ago.
