Running from one end of the district to the other, dealing with drunks, junkies, auto accidents, bar fights, shootings, rapes in progress, robberies in progress, home invasions all in a time span of 6-8 hours. No one had a drivers lic, almost everyone you stopped had a warrant and if you wanted a gun arrest, stop a M/1 over 40yrs. In six months, I went through three nightsticks, broke my hand in a 10-1, involved in five accidents, fired my gun multiple times in two shootouts, handled every conceivable part-1 offense and witnessed a bunch of coppers just quitting. They were giving the police test in 1968 every two weeks because of the turn over. I don't know if the present 011 could be compared to 1968, but knowing it's still delivering makes me fell all warm and fuzzy inside. CPD please be safe and fetal for the New Year. I know and so do you, its another ball game.

Cabrini pushes west and south, Bucktown and whatever Divison and Ashland are called nowadays, Noble Square? continue to push north, south and west, Humboldt Park is expanding north, south east and west, although slowly. How many years before the 7 old timers left here, that can rightly call Harrison and Kedzie, Fillmore because THEY EARNED it and the rest of us get to sit back and watch the wailing from this ghetto created hell hole as it gets crushed with gentrification. Screaming about this is our neighborhood, you can't do that to us! Yup it is, you've been killing each other over here for damn near 70 years. Time to go and ruin a new neighborhood. Fillmore needs economic development. President obama missed his opportunity to put his presidential library complete with books in the economically disadvantaged community to rise up those residents who most associate with him.

The volume has differently slowed down from then to the present. 011 is still intense and the people are as nuts as ever, maybe even more so.

S. Millard Avenue (3632 W.) was the surname for a 19th Century Lawndale real estate developer. On the Northwest Side, Millard becomes Monticello Avenue.
Fillmore St. (1100 S.) was indeed named after the 13th president of the United States, Millard Fillmore. The streets do not intersect. The original Fillmore St. station was located on the SW corner of Fillmore St. and Pulaski Rd. at 4001 W. Fillmore St.
Contrary to the "30 pending and what" poster at 5:32 AM, based on most local residents of 011, the 11th District was pronounced "Fillmo'", the "r" being silent. Note that the same residents pronounce "whore" as "ho", "four" as "fo" and door as "do". This poster may be confused in that less articulate residents when asked a question by police that they don't want to answer, their frequent reply is "arrrrah" or "say what?" as a stall.
To the purported "Asian resident" of 011 at 11:52 PM that claims that using "Fillmo'" is racist, please explain why you differ with the factual. I do not dispute that many Asian people pronounce "Fillmore" correctly..

I beg to differ on this one chief, even west siders don't pronounce "door" as "do", but it mostly sounds like "dough", however I do agree with your statement that four is pronounced as "fo". But also one can say that whore could be pronounced as "hoe" on the south and west side.
