Bob Makes a Funny
- Mayoral candidate and former Ald. Bob Fioretti made his own pitch to rename an already-named Chicago landmark for Barack Obama Friday.
Fioretti held a tongue-in-cheek press conference Friday morning outside of the Daley Center, which he proposed should be renamed for the former president.
The press conference was intended as a jab at fellow mayoral hopeful Bill Daley, who suggested last week that the Dan Ryan Expressway should be renamed to honor Obama and said he’d “like to see the legislature act on this early next year.”
“I think if we’re going to start un-naming our public institutions that memorialize 20th century politicians and re-naming them for 21st century politicians, we should start un-naming with the ancestor of the mayoral candidate who thinks it’s such a good idea,” Fioretti said Friday at the press conference, which was described in official releases from his team as a “facetious” event.
Thinking people realize that Daley's proposal is an obvious pander to a racial segment he desperately needs to win the mayor's seat. Fioretti deftly makes the point - after all, Daley Senior was a racist of no small measure, kind of like all those guys whose statues are being pulled down.
Too bad Bob is such a tool. He'd be a decent candidate if he wasn't such a two-faced wishy-washy Machine sycophant.

Using the per capita number of city council members in the nation's other most populous cities, Chicago should have no more than SEVENTEEN (17) wards--NOT FIFTY. What say you, Mr. Fioretti?
While NYC's population is over three times larger than Chicago, they have only fifty-one City Council members.
While he's at it, rename "Maggie Daley Park" to "Jane Byrne Park".

When it was built in 1965 it was called the Civic Center and Civic Center Plaza. The word, Civic, itself gave credence that good government in which the way the local government works and the RIGHTS and duties of people would be practiced. But that was really just on the surface. So seven days after RJD died it was named after the Monarch of the Daley Dynasty. After his death various throne holders held the throne for the in-waiting RMD who continued the lineage under the one party state. He left after two decades surprisingly, kind of like if Queen Elizabeth II would say, cheerio but I gotta scram. Then the Dynasty inserted a foreigner, RIE, as a place holder who introduced the socialist state of the sanctuary city proclaiming more socialism but he has now fizzled. So who can save the ancestry? It is Prince WMD. But he must make reparations to certain subjects of the kingdom to become the Monarch of the Dynasty. The price is high, he has suggested renaming a highway named after a deceased Duke to be renamed after the Supreme Monarch, BHO, to appease those subjects. But what if those amends are not enough. So maybe Fioretti is right if WMD wants his place in the hereditary succession he needs to go all the way and rename the expressway and the Daley Center, why take a chance. BHO Expressway and BHO Center and Plaza would be in keeping to the City's march to the Marxist-Lennist State. And once in he can rename Chicago to Daley City.
One party state? Socialist party? Free stuff? How about the idea of 4 areas that benefit the most from plundering the city for the very good jobs no matter the level of education and the no bid contracts. Start there. How about the priests who are pedophiles who never get arrested but if I smell like weed then what? The families of Daley, Vanecko, Claypool, Dan Ryan, Dunne, many other Irish all have stolen millions with no bid gigs and no show jobs.

Chicago should be renamed “Obamaville”. Folks existing here would be known as “Obamamites”. Everything with Chicago on it would be renamed Obamaville. The possibilities are endless. Daley is taking his lead from Pritzker. Raise millions of dollars in campaign contributions and then you can buy the election . Daley is someone whose candidacy should not be taken lightly. Emanuel is not running for reelection for a good reason. Daley is being groomed to take his place. If we are not vigilant, it could happen. We need to get behind one candidate.

Yes, you write the truth, but his center median flower boxes are nice. And, he rid our beautiful city of all those ugly parking meters. Now there are ugly parking kiosks everywhere, but less of them as compared to the meters. We should be grateful.
