Free Attacks!

  • Attacking a cop has joined fare beating and public urination on the list of subway misbehavior Manhattan DA Cyrus Vance won’t bother prosecuting.

Officer Syed Ali -- an Army combat vet who served in Iraq and Afghanistan -- had no trouble fending off five homeless vagrants with his baton and his feet as they came at him one by one on Sunday night. The attack, captured on video, was viewed 4 million times on Twitter.

As of Tuesday night, none of the men were to be prosecuted, said Danny Frost, a spokesman for Manhattan DA Cy Vance.
Guess why?
  • Frost said the problem is that the police never charged the men with attacking Ali.
Well golly gee whiz, maybe the actual prosecutors could, you know, use one of those new-fangled computer thingies, watch the f#$%ing video, type up a couple of Complaints, have the Officer attest to the crime, and file a warrant/summons/whatever New York does.

Keep calm and keep pissing on the train or any where you want— you won’t be arrested, baton, tazed, or scuffed up

Criminal inhabitants live in their own, self defined free fire zones, 24/7/52.

Honest citizens have these zones imposed upon them and are expected to not define their own free fire zones to nullify the criminals.

Law enforcement has been muzzled to have NO free fire zones defined by either honest citizens or law enforcement.

Thus, law enforcement has had the criminal inhabitants' definitions of free fire zones imposed upon them, just as honest citizens have.

Crook county approves this pronouncement.

The DA doesn't want to do it? The the Copper ought to file a suit for a Writ of Mandamus - to compel the DA to file the appropriate charges. File the complaint as a private citizen too just to cover all the bases (so in his Official and Private Capacity).

Wait a minute. I thought the police investigated the crimes and the prosecutors wrote the arrest warrants and filed charges. Am I wrong here? Do the cops get to charge the miscreants with crimes? Are all of the police shows wrong when they have a prosecutor telling them whether they have enough evidence to charge a perp and what crimes they’ll charge?

Cy Vance saw what happened to Anita Alvarez here in Chicago when she refused to dump on the pro-criminal bandwagon and he decided to surrender to keep his job rather than face George Soros money.

Why bother. He got the best of them. The DA or some over zealous IA fuck will turn the tables on him and get him charged for not retreating.Let well enough alone. If the one bum who fell on the tracks was hit by a train the officer would be in custody right now. Run forest run.

To any non-police out there, aggressive panhandling is now not against the law. Following you down the street and pestering you for money is now OK, standing in front of the CTA is now good, causing you to go around them is lawful. This is what happens when the progressives you voted for are in charge.

When laws are not ENFORCED by those elected to do just that, the message sent is that these crimes are ENDORSED by same said politicians.
Not prosecuting crime doesn't stop it from happening, it ALLOWS it to happen even more.

(Civilian friends of mine went downtown shopping and dining this past week.....returning to the El to go back home, they were accosted by the usual aggressive panhandler poking them, demanding money from the "white folk" and attempting to reach into the man's jacket to take it.....luckily it was crowded enough that they got away from him, but that there was nothing short of attempted strong-arm robbery)
Ridiculous that this is allowed to happen unchecked.

Not 1 elected moron stands up for the police and the rule of law, look here our elected train of despair anti-police, sit silently heck they cannot even speak up about funding our last line of defense, the thin blue line pension fund! They want to piss let them, we are toast collect the check, always back up blue and blue families this war was not started by us nope, it was put forth and fed by the elected democrats who are a pathetic example of humanity here! Now they are fighting to be mayor the only logical choice is Paul Vallas and why? he has police in the family, and he treats police as they should be treated, he is humble compared to any of the other clown show contestants. look at gary wtf who would even consider that goof? he is there to split votes when this is over he will get a nice contract watch and see how he works, his best bet leave and go back to New York to tell more "Bronx bullshitter" stories!

Also, that asshole mayor says we don't tolerate that abuse of our policemen and take it seriously and then next thing you no RWOC. See how they praise the de-escalation bullshit, copper was lucky, very well could have been him thrown onto tracks and killed.

Fundamental transformation, Deblasio is doing everything to break the fighting force image of the NYPD and create something of a public safety corp., even Boston DA/ASA will refuse to prosecute police resistors. The goal: dismantle local police forces and create one national police force controlled where....central planning, uh sorry.......Washington DC

this will not work in NYC and will not work in Cook County either. There is no way to compel a prosecution if the prosecutor is not on board with it.

Video shows a bunch of drunk, drugged out losers, stumbling towards the cop. So in cook county we would charge assault, which would mean zero punishment in court. Move along, nothing to see here. I see the bigger problem being the cop confronting 5 people by himself. Officer safety is apparently not taught any longer.

Mr. Alvarez was also charged with attempted assault, attempted criminal possession of a weapon and menacing."

The DA or in our case, the ASA has the final say. That’s why we have felony review
Guess the officer or NYPD could file a misdemeanor charge or city ordinance charge without involving the ASA
Bottom line if ASA doesn’t want them charged not much you can do. Override doesn’t help because ASA will drop the charge at the first hearing.

Fundamentally Transformed by a Ha-Ha-Hawaiian born community organgrinder.

The threat from Rahm’s CTA ANOV non-criminal fines are enough to put the fear of God Almighty into the thousands of fleabag homeless preying the weak as they roam unabated through the public way and transportation conveyances.

Wooden baton is better. However, I would not recommend keeping the baton closed up in your fist as you “punch away.” You’ll either A) break your hand or B) allow the pissbums to close in on you as you’re unable to create distance with your baton.

The last I looked there is no law that the police have to consult the States Attorneys office for approval of felony charges or search warrants.
Felony Review was a concoction of Mayor Richard J Daley and the States Attorney at the time Bernard Carey an ex FBI agent. The only purpose at the time was to lessen the work load on the judges and assistant States Attorney.
Before felony review you just called a detective who came out and did the 101s felony and misdemeanor complaints(called reducers) in those days and the dope offender was off to the county jail.
Felony Review was created in 1973-74. Time to go retro.

True... Why bust your knuckles on a shithead?

Have a baton turned from REAL wood.
Not that light and fluffy garbage wood
that the uniform stores are cranking out.

A shiny new nickel says they're a cheap,
locally sourced material... Pine or
Cottonwood.

Well seasoned Oak or Hickory.

Hardware stores have nice sledge-hammer handles
and those are usually Hickory.
