Murderer Got Five Months?

Combine this with the story two posts above about a slam-dunk murder conviction skating off the China and you have the perfect example of a dysfunctional prosecutor's office:
  • [Marques] Gaines’ death, which was captured on a police camera in February 2016, shocked the public, not only because of the assault that led to his death, but the callous response of bystanders in the immediate aftermath.

Seconds after Gaines, 33, hit the ground after being punched, two people approached and appeared to rifle through the unconscious man's pockets. Then, for nearly two minutes, more than a dozen bystanders failed to come to Gaines' aid before a cab accidentally drove over him.

[...] ....Moore was finally arrested in Minnesota in early 2017 and was charged with aggravated battery in a public place, a far less punitive charge than the murder charge Gaines’ family had expected.

Cook County State's Attorney Kim Foxx’s office did not immediately respond to questions about the case and why more serious charges were not pursued.
Of course she won't comment. People might realize she's completely in over her head and wonder at her political sponsor - Toni Prickwrinkle.

He needs to be out in time for the mayoral election. He will vote ten times, including the name of the guy he killed.

Does Kim Foxx and the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office have any competent people left or did all the experienced smart ones leave once Foxx and her idiots took control?

Foxx and Preckwinkle are politicians. Politicians fear negative news stories, that is why they have large media offices.

Whenever Felony Review refuses to prosecute the detectives should explain why charges have not been filed to interested family and friends. They should also provide the interested individuals the contact information for the media so they can vent to them.

Negative publicity of Foxx and company might lead to changes in her policies or could bring a qualified alternative to run against her in two long years.

Foxx was bought and paid for with Soros money. Preckwinkle may not have gotten any of the gravy, so she is not looking good in any of this.

Charge the cab driver with a felony and your done. Everything else is too involved for Kim and her Kamandos. And besides that the folks don’t really care.

Foxx is easily the most incompetent prosecutor in the history of Cook County, which includes several elected prosecutors who were on the payroll of organized crime.

Seriously it should not have taken 2 years to realize this idiot is in over her head. One debate convinced me. I said back then the only good thing about her is HOPEFULLY people will see how inept she is and ultimately blame Phoni P. Too bad that didn't prevent somebody better than Fioretti to run against her because even if she loses the mayoral bid the county is still stuck with her for almost 4 more years.

I keep reading stories about how the states attorney's office, under the leadership (Ha!) of Kim Foxx, keeps making massive screw ups and fail to seek justice for the citizens of Cook County. How much more of this shit do we have to deal with until she gets launched? WTF! Anyone who thinks being a person of color is the same as a "get out of jail" card has no business being states attorney. That office should be completely color blind.

Unfortunately......no one will remember all of this when election time rolls around. In the absence of a legitimate candidate, we will get screwed with her again.

Federal legislation to override bad states attorneys like Kimm Foxx should be enacted asap.
Call your reps!

What difference does it make?
Hey, he pait’ his debt to societay, Cook Co style.
Five months in the big league pokey takes 3 years to recover.
Considering Cook Co, how this case ever made it past the PC stage is amazing.
Maybe Crook County has an Inmate Advocacy Program and they recinded the sentencing.
Stranger things will happen with the KabriniKid rehashing old cases.

The parolee murderer will now be able to collect his fair share of entitlements unencumbered, and most importantly cast an illegal vote or two in Feb and April.

Part of his master release program, JB eau duToilette will be emptying State jails faster than Dart’s County Club, so sentencing is going to become passé.
Jail is so ‘90’s.
Though it won’t be a surprise if the guy (Jerald Jeske) who launched his girlfriends dogs over the banister will probably see more jail time than Marquis Gaines.

Waiting response from KimmFxxxUp is the same as waiting for Prickwrinkle to tell us about the code of silence with her driver and the suv.
They are not obligated to open their mouths to nobody, they got rights.
Cook County needs an audit and Federal oversight.
I’d like to see that reform someday.

Hey what the hell? You live in Cook County. I wonder why you would expect some measure of justice? Do you even think about the people you have elected and those they have appointed to administer justice? The prior post where the killer escapes to China. This isn't some fluke. It is typical.
