Just last month, they all wanted the jail and prisons emptied.

Yea, and Jackson Jr. along with his wife were arrested and charged by the fed's for stealing about 1 million dollars. And what was their sentence 2 years and 1 year served at separate times because of their children (boo-hoo) So Blago didn't steal one penny but he gets 14 years but if you're black and steal 1 million then you get what the activists say is a slap on the wrist

Lori Lightfoot represented PP during the Jefferson Tap scandal of 2006 when felony charges were leveled at 3 officers. If my memory serves me correctly, it was alleged that the accused officers waived off the on-duty officers responding to the 911 call (and the “code of silence” term was thrown around then too with official misconduct charges for dismissing the responding officers). Surprised the media and her opponents aren’t pointing out how her defense of PP and the subsequent acquittals of all officers involved contributed to the “code of silence” that allowed CPD to cover up the Laquan death (since that seems to be the most commonly heard narrative from the mayoral candidates).

I used to opine as you did to the blogger but I have learned not to criticize those who choose not to vote because there are no decent selections. And the way I see it, that is what is confronting us in this upcoming Mayoral election. And that really becomes apparent when you listen to these candidates. The only alternative is to make your plans to do your homework and get the hell out of this liberal paradise.

Vallas track record is that of a carpetbagger. If he can't get what he wants, he just goes somewhere else. I find the constant references to his wife as ex police and current TSA kind of distracting, same as his kids being the police. What's that got to do with him? Today, Im a die hard privileged toxic white male conservative. I used to be a Deplorable gun clinger racist Tea Party member. I see all the signs on peoples property every election cycle for the Madigan and his cartel. Quinn is the latest with his PROUD DEMOCRAT on top of his sign. Almost everyone in the ward I've talked to can't stand Madigan, Quinn, or the Democrat Party but they allow the big D to be put up on their property. I don't know the kid running against Quinn, but at least he has the balls to step up as independent.
When are the geniuses at headquarters gonna realize that this Thursday start of the period doesn’t work with Tact teams being assigned to day off groups 61,63,and 65. Any team going from Nights to Relief are scheduled for Nights, Days, Nights, Nights. The teams need to be moved to 62,64,and 66. I know everyone there signed up for it but how can you justify on the A and A’s working 1800-0300 and then the next day 0930-1830.

Ha Ha Ha. Showing your age definitely. When the Department rotated, there was no bitching when we went from days to midnights. Get off on Wednesday at 3:15pm and sitting in roll call at 11:00pm the same night. If you don't like it, leave tact and push a beat car.
You forgot to mention that you did the same thing when you went from 3rd watch to days. You would get off at 1130 and have to be back the next morning at 7AM. This happened 2 out of 3 months or 8 times a year. These guys should quit whining
They have no idea how hard it was to get off at midnight, then either hit a 2 or 4 o’clock bar and be at work at 7AM. If you closed the bar at 4 , went to breakfast then home for a shower and a clean y inform, you barely had to to make early roll call. Wasn’t easy I tell tou

It may take awhile they want to keep it quiet as long as they can, for his safety which is understandable.

As far as what he said about JVD, yea, not his finest moment but if that's his opinion on it that's his. Everything else he has said in support of the police has been good. Maybe she should point out that Blago made it a point to go all over the country, telling his version of the truth, to anyone willing to listen and broadcast it!
