He was hired by the principal of Wildwood Elementary - a CPS elementary school in the Edgebrook community - to tell the children (many dozens of whom were from police and fire families) that cops were bad, evil, killed minorities and were responsible for starvation across the globe?

- Mr “Ethan Ethos” who gave the fuck 12 speech at the CPS elementary school with the permission of the principal, is currently in custody. Shoved, kicked, spit on a CFD Paramedic. Felony charges approved. Currently incapacitated and intubated at CCH.
The principal ended up resigning, blaming the backlash against her poor decision making skills and making vague references to the safety of her new granddaughters. Seems like the cops and firefighters were correct and she was just another liberal snowflake "social justice warrior" asshole.

Actually she was a great principal and extremely pro police. I think she just don’t realize what this goods was all about.. her bad which she fully admitted. It’s a shame the negative press the CPd gave her because she was very supportive of us.

Here is his Mom, Jennifer Viets, a teacher at Chicago Public Schools and an activist with the Chicago League of Abolitionist Whites, said her concerns about the watch group began when she attended a community meeting to launch the program and saw mostly white residents volunteering.
“We all racially profile,” Viets said. “And when I look at a room that’s filled with all white people, and they’re saying ‘bad guys’ and ‘criminal element’ and people who ‘don’t belong in their neighborhood,’ I know they are not talking about people who look like them.”
Viets said when she thinks of community watch programs, she thinks of Trayvon Martin, a black teenage boy who was killed by a neighborhood watch volunteer. She said she also thinks of Tamir Rice, a 12-year-old black child killed by Cleveland police after neighbors reported he was outside with a gun, which turned out to be a replica.
“Those might seem like extreme circumstances, but as we know from the news in our country right now, those aren’t extreme,” Viets said. “Those were neighbors. Every single one of those stories were neighbors or community watch members themselves.”

Catholics should be supporting their schools by sending their children to the Catholic schools. Usually, not always, Catholic school children are not exposed to indoctrination. I'm glad I have sent my child to Catholic schools. I haven't had to worry about my son ever hearing disparaging commentary about the police.

Graduated from the school in the 1970s and have heard rumors that he's screwing around with the legacy of the school. I m interested in setting up a similar blog reporting on crime and corruption from the South Loop to Hyde Park. We had some moderately successful groups on Everyblock and Facebook but we keep getting deplatformed. The powers that be will not let us dis Obama, Toni P or just comment honestly about flash mobs, race hoaxes like Ferguson MO “Hands up don t shoot”.
Can anyone here suggest a tech person who I can hire to set up a similar word press blog that allows moderated comments and protects editor and commenter privacy?

Yes, her actions just scream pro police. You're clueless. She didn't receive any press from the CPD, because the CPD is not the press. She fucked up because she was either too dumb to figure out who she was paying to speak at the school, or because she intentionally hired a speaker who spews anti-police nonsense. Either way, yes, her bad. But defending her is asinine. Did she make any kind of public apology to the police or make a pro-police statement of any kind after this incident? Tell us all about how supportive this loser is.

He is a total moron. Waited outside for 45 min to get in for the open house in the fall. Not a big deal, expected that but his whole quick spiel had zero to do with what a student could expect, curriculum, the 3 million sports and other misc clubs, teaching, staff, etc instead he had us do a stupid clap in individual groups, and then everyone in the auditorium clapped together to show the power of everyone clapping together. WTF? Then he told us it was the best job for him and he wanted to retire from Lane. I'm sure it is. Someone's husband's, cousin's, brother that got the job on his own...

Not the same as having my 13yo listen to a Jon Burge curriculum in his 8th grade social studies class. Most of the Catholic grammar schools are pretty conservative and it's a pity more Catholics are not supporting their grammar schools. There's plenty of money for fancy sports teams and big houses.
My kid is a freshman at Lane. Indian head all over the place inside, on all the merch too, so isn't gone yet. Seems like a good mix of political views inside from my interactions so far, the way it should be. But yes the SJW contingent is loud and proud...

Many CPS teachers are very liberal and not our friends. Remember Karen Lewis during a rally in the Loop when one of the speakers got up and said “fuck the police”. Lewis never refuted it. This is one reason why I spend the money and send my children to Catholic School. As for the snide comments about molestation, it happens in the CPS and it is covered up there as well.
