- Scenes featuring Jussie Smollett on the TV show “Empire” have been drastically cut amid the apparent unraveling of his tale about being the victim of a hate attack, according to reports Tuesday.
The actor, who plays singer-songwriter Jamal Lyon on the hit Fox show, was supposed to have nine scenes and a big musical performance in the second-to-last episode of Season 5, production sources told TMZ.
But five scenes and the musical number have been axed, the site reported.
So all those denials by the Production Company that they weren't cutting Jussie's screen time - they were lying before? Or they're lying now? Or it's a self-fulfilling prophecy?

I’m guessing the producers/creators aren’t dumb and are furious that this clown made them look foolish coming to his side at the beginning of the hoax. They know the brothers and heard the true story and believe it just like the rest of the intelligent world. They don’t want this jerks face on the show anymore. He’s already damaged it enough being the ungrateful selfish asshole he is. He owes the taxpayers money and tons of apologies.

Yes indeed. Taraji P. Henson complained about how badly her son was treated during a traffic stop in Los Angeles a couple years ago. All of her huffing and puffing turned out to be lies on her part when the body cam video was released. Turns out the Police acted lawfully and professionally in spite of the way her son acted.
Maybe the sponsors of the show should be boycotted until changes are made. Why should we be demonized as a race in this whole lie, just because this no talent hack is trying to save his career.

Maybe there is some method in the madness of the leaks. If you knew from the start that this is a nonsense but heater case, you slowly drop hints of that instead of coming out a few weeks later and just charge/arrest Jussie. Selective "leaking" is a tried and true method of the political class and this case is very political. Interesting thing is you hear nothing about the federal part of this investigation.
One of the saddest parts of this whole mess is the timing. It came too early.
I would have loved to see the Oscars where every actor and their partner would go on and on about Jussie the Victim only to have them eat those same words later. Few things are as satisfying as watching Liberals eat their own words.

I thought Vallas got ran out of town because he was getting more popular than Daley and the machine felt threatened. Just like when Dart was polling better than Rahm.
You will not win an election in Chicago without pandering because half the city votes along racial lines.

Enthusiastically agree. A questionnaire was sent to all candidates by the law firm handling the retirees suit to restore medical benefits. Only Vallas responded and he explained how he planned to ensure that happens.
Vallas, Daley, McCarthy, Wilson and Joyce were at the First Responder fundraiser tonight. The CFD south siders were enthusiast for Joyce, but wouldn’t shut up when Vallas was talking. Wilson probably had the most attentive audience as he was there early. McCarthy tried to pull the, “I’m one of you guys B.S.”. It didn’t seem to work.
