- Speaking of runoffs, if you are in the 39th ward DO NOT vote for Robert Murphy. He is an Arena guy and also employed that Carl Nyburg jackass who was trash talking our 2 officers that were fatally struck by a train.
Nyburg is so toxic, he was removed from campaign materials by soon-to-be-former Alderasshole Arena. If that doesn't tell you the type of aldercreature that Murphy would be, you aren't thinking straight.

The crook county, shitty city version of Murphy's Law = everything this shit can fuck up, this shit will fuck up.
Speaking of Arena. The March 6th. Issue of the Nadig newspaper, The Press, has two articles on Arena and an opinion piece. In the opinion its says : Arena says he is still the Alderman for two more months and the Democratic Ward Committeman until 2020. He says he is going to be a delegate to the 2020 Presidential contest as he did when he supported BERNIE SANDERS in 2016. He said he may run again in 2023 when Gardiner, who beat him, will be held accountable! Did he congratulate Gardiner? He said the politics of fear is what beat him. So since he has 8 years in as Alderman he needs 2 more years with the City to get the full pension so the article writer said the next mayor will probably give him a $100,000.00 deputy commissioners job. Correct me if I am wrong but I believe Aldermen get 80 percent pension with 10 years as an Alderman.
There was a cop running. Duplechin. We voted for him obviously. Probably vote Samantha Nugent this time around. She came to our house twice campainging. To be fair Smagala did come out once. Robert Murphy is tool box. Would never vote for that POS.

I’m glad the original poster brought this up, because I was planning on reminding those of us in 39 to avoid this guy. All you need to know is that he’s endorsed by the Teachers Union.
I believe that are vested after 10yrs but get a pension after 20 years like the rest of us.
Sam is pro police. The police officer, Duplechin, who ran but didn’t make it to the runoff endorsed her as well as alderman Naps and Alderman Spasato. She will def be a friend at city council.

If the next mayor is Lori he will get zero, and then maybe with his skills he can deliver newspapers!
for all the bitching that goes on here about political insiders you sure jumped in to support the consummate insider. look at her past, she is the definition of insider. supported by laurino/d'amico. the asshole you refer to was a volunteer who collected some petition signatures.
I believe Duplechin has put his support behind and now endorsed Samantha Nugent as well.

I hope us as law enforcement can continue to flex our muscles and show these progressive canidates that we still have a sizable voting block. Additionally, I think we can agree we need to come out, pinch our noses, and vote for Lightfoot to ensure our pensions are safe and so we can get a seat at the table which will not be offered with Taxeinkle. If you need any more convincing, Laquons great uncle was at Toni’s Election Day reception.

Your candidate is going to lose. Accept it. “The asshole” might have just blown the election for Murphy. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
Hey, Mar 7 at 12:43 pm. Do you know what the Aldermen gets at just 10 yrs. Do they have age requirements like us?
Murphy marched in front to the GOP office when it opened in the 45th ward. He was joined by BLM, pro Affordable Housing advocates and Jill Arena, wife of the soon to be ex-alderman.
Take care of business 39th ward citizens.
Absolutely DO NOT VOTE FOR MURPHY!
