Just over a week ago, Special Ed was bragging about how crime was down, especially murders.

- Shootings in the first days of April have jumped 57 percent across Chicago compared to the same period last year, with police saying warmer weather may be a contributing factor.
That can't possibly be, because the previous supernintendo told all of us that weather didn't affect crime.
- At least 88 people have been shot within city limits in the first 10 days of April, according to data kept by the Chicago Sun-Times. Last year, 56 people were shot in the same time period.
The shootings have also been more deadly — 20 people have been shot to death so far this month, compared to seven during the same period last year.
And you can bet every "merit" supervisor is feeling the push from the incoming administration to either do what they can to stop shootings or lie their asses off about what's causing it.

That report showed that arrests that year were the lowest they have ever been since 1965. now we're 4 months into 2019 and no report for 2018 has come out. Position Description: LEAD is seeking an Assistant State’s Attorney. The Assistant State’s Attorneys in LEAD are responsible for reviewing allegations of on-duty misconduct by law enforcement officers throughout Cook County to determine whether prosecution is appropriate. The Unit reviews all officer-involved shootings and deaths that occur in police custody, as well as allegations of excessive force, official misconduct, perjury, bribery, theft, obstruction of justice, aggravated/reckless discharge of a firearm, and sex offenses. The Unit vertically prosecutes all cases resulting in criminal charges and presents evidence and witness testimony before the grand jury. This is a full-time bargaining unit exempt position.
While one could argue that this is nothing more than accountability, the timing of this by Foxx sure smells and smacks of retaliation against police for shining her and calling her out.
A designated unit for this will be under pressure to produce scalps.
If one is under investigation for a shooting, DO NOT TALK TO THE STATES ATTORNEY. Do not speak if they are in the room.
