Must be spring in the city, where a young man's fancy turns to thoughts of bustin' caps in azz's:
- One person was killed and at least four more were wounded in a shooting early Sunday morning at a house party in Chicago’s East Garfield Park neighborhood, according to Chicago police.
Minutes after 3 a.m., two shooters walked into a home where the party was being held, in the 500 block of North Hamlin Avenue, hitting five people police said.
“As the party was ending, two subjects, armed with handguns, entered and opened fire on the patrons — striking the five victims — and then they fled on foot,” Officer Jennifer Bryk said.
A 22-year-old man was taken to Stroger Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds and later pronounced dead, police said.
No word on "community" marches yet.

That dubious distinction goes to the 11th District. Most likely, you got that misconception from "Hey Jackass" where unlike the 15th District, Austin includes a whole neighborhood that stretches north to the railroad tracks in the most deadly part of the 25th District rather than the CPD 015 that goes no further north than Division St.
The 15th District is violent and usually ranks between third and fifth among the 22 CPD districts. For years, including this year, 011 easily leads the city in murders. As of last Sunday, 011 has 12 murders followed by 007 with 8 murders and 015 with 7 murders. Check crime statistics out at www.ChicagoPolice.org
