Officer Stabbed
- A Chicago police officer was stabbed in the neck while placing a man in custody Friday morning on the Far South Side, officials said.
The officer, 27, responded about 9:30 a.m. to the 13200 block of South King Drive for a call of someone injured during a battery. While placing a 42-year-old man into custody, the officer was stabbed in the lower neck and left arm, said police.
He was taken to a local hospital where he was listed in good condition.
No additional information was available. Charges were pending.

It’s was a ppo in 005 who got stabbed, pretty much fresh out of the academy. He was released from the hospital same day, and the charges for the offender have been approved as a felony.

Sorry this happened to the officer. In a way it’s probably good he didn’t fire his weapon since it’s been proven that a knife is no longer considered a weapon that can cause death or great bodily harm. (At least not to law enforcement) but I guess that all depends on the race of the officer...
FRU wants to see the body cams, the hospital reports and lock any witnesses at GJ before approving charges to ensure it wasn't self inflicted!

It gets no mention, because as much as you think 022 is still a nice district, you know it’s not. Beverly / Mt. Greenwood is now just Roseland West or Chatham South. Sorry Charlie, but the fun is over.

Relax Francis, attempt murder is the upgrade charge at Grand Jury. The officer is doing great, the investigation was rock solid, and the offender will be launched into IDOC where he will rot. Great job detectives.

Yay excellent news and hopefully crimesha can't interfere. Sad to say: Would rather pay incarceration fees than welfare to baby mommas. They'll always find a way to pick our pockets anyway. 50 years of free bees and nothing to show for it except massive crime and littered streets. And I'm totally cool with everyone succeeding doing honest work. Im not a racist, jusr a realist.
