Clueless in Chicago
- Another summer in the City of Chicago starts with a bang. No pun intended as 52 people were shot, 10 fatally in street violence. On Memorial Day it was 30 shot with five killed. That’s right. You read that correctly: 82 people shot leaving 15 dead—not in the first five months of the year—not in the last 30 days— not even in the previous week! Two weekends is all it took.
Several weeks ago a madman went on a rampage and killed 12 people in a Virginia municipal building. We were horrified hearing this. Everybody asked the same questions, such as: what caused this or what technical fix can be implemented to prevent this from happening again? We even got the usual blame-the-gun whining from the left. Yet, the violence in Chicago gets ignored. Why? Two reasons. First is the left’s casual attitude about ghetto violence and culture. Second is that Chicago’s political class is clueless on how to reduce the senseless killing.
Most violence in the American ghetto involves blacks killing other blacks. This is complicated for liberals and Democrats. They can’t blame this on “whitey,” systemic racism, the police or the National Rifle Association. The cultural rot involved in this violence has the left tied in knots.
And that's just the opening couple of paragraphs. Clarke sounds off not only on "cultural rot," but cultural dysfunction, under-use/mis-use of jails/prisons, Crimesha, Lightgroot, and Special Ed. Go read it all.

David Clarke for next CPD Superintendent.
Watch The Tucker Carlson Show (Fox News) on youtube for Mon 10 Jun 19 and at the 35.29 minute mark he has on US Attorney Bill McSwain from the Eastern District of Penn. He explains how the left and George Soros have placed State's Attorneys in the major cities who are are not doing their jobs to enforce the laws and prosecute criminals. He cites the SA in Philadelphia who acts like a public defender just like our own Kim Foxx. Just Democrats destroying numerous cities in unison.

The methods mentioned by Clark were used in ChiRaq until the politicians
Decided to allow crime to flourish!
This is a political firestorm that the elected officials are trying to sidestep!
There is an ongoing crime pattern of black on black crime.
And the only thing they are worried about is locking up male blacks.
So they bond the offenders out showing the criminals there is now!
If you shoot someone in Illinois NO BOND. End of story!
If a judge or states attorney was shot at or hit the offender would not get any bond?
So the rest of the state is allowed to become victims because of politicians

This opinion piece is spot on. As long as Cook County has a State's Attorney who is incompetent and unwilling to actually prosecute criminals because doing so is contrary to her own personal political agenda and aspirations, nothing the police can do will have a significant impact on crime in the city. Foxx spends more time working with her strategists to float pro-Foxx articles and opinion pieces in the media than she does doing her actual job. And from her lack of experience and the way cases have been handled during her reign, I'm not even sure Foxx knows what her actual job is.
Clarke nor anyone else can fix anything until you you fix Fox, Dart and the liberal judges. And that is not going to happen anytime soon. So where does not leave the good law bidding folks? They get to take comfort in knowing it’s the police’s fault.
If you keep letting out bad people to kill other bad people the end result should be less bad people. Is that the master plan here.
Clarke should be our next mayor
Since Chicago is like the "wild west", a federal sheriff needs to roll into town and apply some "wild west" cures to the situation. Maybe with a posse to clean out all the desperados, and crooked lawmen. The only thing resembling that these days would be martial law, enforced by the military, or blackwater as long as posse comitatus is in the way. Let's start a white house petition.
To 1:41 am, sensible killing would be in protection of your own or another’s life and in some cases protection of property..Makes sense!
All our unions should be pushing for Clark to be the sup. Get rid if this useless piece of crap we have now.

A sensible killing is what happens when a criminal is killed by the victim or a police officer. There are far too few of these.
For those who are saying Clarke, "should be the next chief", that is not a realistic statement. I'm interested in reading comments with actual meaning. How about saying something like, "Can you imagine if Clarke was the next Chief?"
Not so sure of Sheriff Clark. Said what people wanted to hear, had a good public relations team and was put on a pedestal by FOX News

Either Clarke or Judd would be an excellent choice for Chicago Police Superintendent.
Unfortunately, neither would be considered because the powers that be wouldn't let them fix the problem.
His article is a good read and factual. Sheriff Clarke is a great leader he should have ran for Mayor or became superintendent. However he would not tolerate this liberal nonsense. How are you going to get a broken department with morale that is in the toilet to do proactive police work? No one in this department with time on the job that has seen the negative change in this city let alone this department is dumb enough to go out on a limb in a anti police climate. It's really bad when police officers are coming out of the academy and realizing this job now sucks and end up quitting after weeks on the streets. You never seen new officers just up and quit that says a lot now about how bad it has become. You can't have proactive police work and turn around bash us in the public spotlight saying we need more oversight. Playing us like we are the bad guy and sympathizing with the evil criminals as they create chaos and plot more attacks on our law abiding citizens and their communities. Adding fuel for the liberal state attorney, sheriff to not prosecute nor house violent repeat offenders. I talk with citizens that ask me what is going on and I tell them the truth not sugar coated lies and I don't get those stupid PCI numbers. Yes I'm a veteran officer and can't stand seeing this city die. Without support nothing will change. Crime will go up and our bodies will continue to pile up under the bus if we do our jobs. Ms Mayor and Eddie get your acts together and stop your pandering bullshit. You are either with us or against us. You can't play both sides of the fence.

How about killing the person threatening you, breaking into your home, trying to carjack you, etc.?
They should blame it on affluent people buying the drugs that fuel this carnage - but the Democrats wouldn't want to make their voter base uncomfortable, and besides morality is passe.
The Social Justice movement in the past 20 years has birthed a really twisted way of thinking - Evil exists in the world, but only in the people who do not agree with their political views. Robbed and murdered your way into prison? That must’ve because you’ve been downtrodden for generations. Clearly isn’t your fault. In fact, it’s Farmer John’s fault because he feels he should still be able to own guns. Farmer John is the evil one. The murderer is a victim here.
Regarding charging and sentencing in a Social Justice legal system - as a middle-aged white man. I am scared to death if I get caught carrying CCW where I shouldn’t. Why? Know gangbangers with felony records are out in hours after getting arrested carrying illegally purchased, often illegally defaced weapons with magazine capacities greater than allowed in Cook County. Me? Well this white boy should know better - throw the book at him for walking past a school with a holstered pistol under his shirt.
Social Justice creates a bullshit double standard in an attempt to atone for behavior carried out by the majority in the past. Were sentencing guidelines for crack vs. cocaine fucked up? Yes. Does a criminal born in 2001 deserve to skate because his grandfather was over sentenced?

A justifiable homicide for one. Ask a cop or a soldier they’ll clue you in.
He nailed it. Why isn't he super or Mayor all he needed is a wedding dress hidden somewhere in city limits.

Sheriff David Clarke could never be elected Mayor of Chicago or any other town run by liberals because he would not acquiesce to lying to the people. He wouldn’t succumb to the perceived need that most of the left wing has to continue to promote the false narrative that Kim Foxx’s and Toni Preckwinkle’s of the world like to spread. Sadly, voters in places like Chicago seem to prefer their elected officials to be liars who are more than happy to peddle the lie that the parts of our society that work the best and function without problem are somehow secretly, and with malicious intent, inflicting all the harm on the parts that don’t work at all and are incapable of functioning without problem.

Sensible killing---Bad guy points gun at police. Police shoot. Kill bad guy---sensible killing.
