Concealed Carrier Two-Fer
We've said it before - these CCL people ought to be getting Special Junior Police Badges and a coupon for ammo and range hours:
- A concealed carry holder shot back at two gunman Friday, hitting them both in a South Side Englewood shooting that hurt three people. The license holder was seated in a vehicle about 2:15 p.m. when at least two men came up and started shooting, Chicago police said.
The gunfire hit a 22-year-old man standing outside the man’s car in the 6200 block of South Justine, police said. The concealed carry holder stepped out of the vehicle, took out his own weapon and shot two men.
One of those men was critically wounded with gunshot wounds to his groin and ankles, police said. The 20-year-old was rushed to Mt. Sinai Hospital. The other alleged shooter was shot in the buttocks and grazed in his arms and head, police said. The 25-year-old’s condition was stabilized at Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
TWO offenders - that's one cool customer. Well done Citizen!

They senate will try again once they come into session again. Pay attention to this bill . Racist on its face by hurting the folks who need protection the most. All under the guise of “common sense” gun laws. These people apparently dont understand that criminals are called criminals for a reason. They don’t follow the multitude of firearm laws that are in place already. And when you all catch these pieces of shit Kimm Foxx and the courts just let them back out to shoot up the town again. Given that this happened in Englewood, everyones’ race was properly aligned for a CCW shooting. Had this occurred on the north side or the loop, the CCW would need to be doing a lot of explaining to the State’s Attorney. I’m not saying the criminal justice system in Cook County is racist. I am saying those administering the law execute a double-standard based on race - one group is held to a much higher standard of accountability than another.
It’s disgusting. CCL now gives you the right to shoot victims of poverty? These poor chaps are in a tough economic spot and now they have extra holes in their bodies because of an entitled racist citizen with a gun. I sure hope da community gets them a good lawyer so they can use this incident to sue the gunman and city. Maybe then they will have the monetary resources to rise above the poverty line and have a chance at a normal life.

Well, with the police hogtied by the politicians, the state’s attorney refusing to prosecute and judges releasing criminals, it really IS up to the common citizen to protect themselves.
The next question is whether they should call 911 after shooting a criminal and thereby put themselves into the criminal justice meatgrinder - which will almost certainly be less kind to them than it is to “disadvantaged” “folks” with multiple felony convictions. Maybe just leave a playing card on the body, so the police will know it was done by a CCL holder?
With the current homicide clearance rate, odds are they would never get caught, anyway....

Don't worry, BlowJob (JB) is going put the honest, licensed carrier out of business by raising fees and taxes so high it will be financially impossible for the honest person to get a carry license and/or FOID....
The best concealed carry insurance I’ve found, after a bunch of research, is CCW Safe. It is a captive insurance company which means that the insurance is their own, unlike the NRA policy, which was underwritten by Chubb. After one of the school shootings, Chubb dropped the NRA. This cannot happen to a captive company. And, CCW Safe stays with you for all court cases and appeals. Also, CCW Safe was set up and is run by former LEO in Oklahoma. Special rates for retired LEO also. If someone knows of a better policy, please let us know. I am retired CPD with no ties to CCW Safe.

Yesterday nite at about 3:00 AM on zone 4, while 001st district was in a rap since 4:00 PM the previous day, 5780 of the MAIU unit goes over the air to announce a disturbance at the front door to the MAIU office. "There's an intoxicated female banging on the door, send someone to take care of this". There were no cars available, as its Saturday nite and 001 has the usual skeleton crew. A couple minutes later, 5780 goes over the air again, this time with a very agitated tone, telling dispatch someone has to take care of this disturbance, he can't have this happening there all nite. Another reasonable voice goes over the air, telling 5780, "You're the police, handle it yourself." I was laughing my ass off when I heard it. 5780 replies over the air very maturely and intelligently, "come here and say that to my face." Because, apparently, he's too busy to handle a disturbance at his front door, but has time to pick fights over the air on a backlogged nite, when the airwaves are actually needed for real police issues.
Long story short, dispatch asks a unit that's in 001 on paper to please take a break from the paper and walk over to MAIU and handle what apparently can't be handled by 5780. The moral of the story is, once you're in a unit, you lose the ability to perform basic law enforcement functions.
I love reading stories with happy endings. Too bad the shootees were not given dirt naps, to make it all the better.

actually I have heard that if a your a ccw holder acting within the law you cannot be sued in Illinois...…………….. but I am not sure.. but crimeisha if this had been someone from

Folks, if you get or have your conceal carry license, do yourself a huge favor. Get yourself some insurance that covers you in the event you have to use your firearm. It’s afford . Cover your ass and your family so you don’t lose everything. US conceal Carry (uscca.com) is one, NRA has it too. Protect yourself! Do some research, no CCL holder should be without it.

There is a case from ILL wanting to be heard by the Supremes.
They argue that citizens should NOT be required to pay a fee to exercise a Constitutional Right.
BJ's plan would limit gun rights to the rich, poor people could not afford to protect themselves.
Maybe BJ's increased fees would push the High Court to hear the case.
CCL holders ought to be exempted from any restricting laws pertaining to ammunition magazines.
CCL holders that dispense dirt naps should be given a stipend equal to one tenth what the state would spend feeding and housing the never again reoffending Piece of Excrement.
Survivors of legal CCL encounters should be tagged and treated like any other offending animal that was trapped and relocated. Second offence would result in a bounty being placed on their head open to anyone that brings in the body. No questions asked. Vehicle parking validation requests would be honored.
