So, Lemmer had mandatory training at the academy today [03 June]. Came in and signed in for a couple minutes, then whispered in the instructors ear and left. Yet this asshole preaches to the masses about accountability???
Not only is he rumored to have cut training, we heard that Capt-in-Training Saadia Carter showed him a secret door he could use to slip out unnoticed by Academy staff. You just have to order a metro recruit to open it.

CPD bosses one big joke. Do as I say, not as I do!
She was a waste of promotion. Not earned not given but stolen. Her and her buddy Lt Patrina Wines. Together they can’t pour piss out of a boot without stealing the boot. Please lord don’t promote them to commander, they are not ready and their head is so far stuck up their own ass that they would steal the head if not given.
They have been doing this for years that's why they don't know what's going on. I had a lieutenant who had some sort of a connection to call to get out of training and details. He just liked the cozy comfort of the district I guess.
Prolly promise a promotion of all sorts
CPD training only exists to shift liability onto YOU.
Has nothing to do with public safety and officer survival.
The less you attend, the better off you will be when punitive damages are being assessed against you.
What does suck is that Lemmer has zero chance of being in that position, unlike YOU.

It's a huge burden to be a boss so we give them play
time to be balanced
What it comes down to is that their oversight does not
require 40hrs/wk X 52 weeks. To let the rank and file
see them idle would be unacceptable, so we let them
out to play to be out of sight. We can't overwork a boss

I think some bosses take their shirts to the dry

That sign in and leave stuff is akin to the Air Force
touch and go pilot training. Sometimes you have to

Ducking out of training has been going on for decades. It usually starts with longer and longer lunches as the week goes by. But, you are right about this, the same standard should apply to all.

How many bosses call the range and have rusted bullets in their guns? The exempts do whatever, to whoever they want we do as they say and not as they do. We have a total shitshow of liars at the top ranks of cpd, Lori is keeping them guess she is happy with bodies dropping, people being shot,stabbed,robbed,raped and beaten.

The Chief of the Metro recruits department was so mad when he heard about the door incident that he told his Officers that he was going to recommend to his City Council that they no longer use the CPD Academy for training.

And the worst part is. In his mind he really believes it. All exempts did it on their own. That’s what they say
That duck out stuff occurred in "no test" medical C.E.
seminars (as far as I know) since back in the 70s.
Things have tightened up since. I can still remember a
guy who brought his wife along, telling me it was tax-
deductible (under the code at the time).

What an idiotic statement. Trust me, the accountability will be on you either way. And if you are magically absent for every training event, your pattern of behavior will make YOU look like the asshole. Chicago will say “we tried to train him, he always had an excuse not to go.” Do you think that somehow puts the accountability on them? They can’t handcuff you and force you to attend. The blame is being put on you either way, genius. And both you and the city will pay. The difference is, they can afford to pay. So you should probably save your sage advice there old timer. You can’t wood shampoo your way out of being fucked when you do something so egregious that it results in punitive damages - which implies that you’ve done something so goddam stupid that your qualified immunity means nothing.
Hey Lori. Maybe you should start showing up at the academy unannounced early in the morning or late in the day and look for some of these stellar commanders and bosses. Tell no one except your driver and watch the rats scurry.

At the COPA?
These bosses are, and always have been, something else. Years ago there was a politically connected Dog-Ass who always worked midnites on one of the slowest beats in the city. He slept frequently. Then became a Sgt. Then a Det. Sgt. Then a Det. Lt. Always hounded Dets. under his command to bust ass and produce arrests and Clearups. Dog-Ass was one day fucking off while on duty, after his daily "Go Get em" (to make me look good) speech, playing raquetball at a local firehouse, where he dropped dead while playing, of a massive Grabber. This is typical of oh so many "bosses" on the CPD. " Do as I say, Not as I do", and "everything for me, but none for thee". Typical commie / Chicago Mentality. Never ends. Nor will it with Lightfoot. The Cream definitely does not rise to the top, in the CPD.
