Nice Bail Clancy
- An off-duty Chicago detective intervened after a man tried to lure two girls as they walked from the Disney II Magnet Elementary School in the Irving Park neighborhood, police said. Prosecutors said the girls were walking near the school in the 3900 block of North Hamlin around 7 p.m. May 23 when 53-year-old George Condon stepped out of an alley and approached them.
“I know the person who suppose to pick you up, so just come with me,” Condon allegedly told the girls. Both girls turned and ran away.
The off-duty officer, who was sitting in his car near Irving Park Road and Hamlin, intervened and held Condon for patrol officers, police said.
Prosecutors said the girls, who are from different families, do not know Condon and he did not have permission to take the victims anywhere. Condon is charged with two felony counts of luring a child under age seventeen. Judge Michael Clancy released him on a recognizance bond.

As seen this past week it doesn't matter if you vote a bad judge out, they will just reappoint him/her.
You can bet if he did that to a judge's or politician's kid, he would not have been released. Citizens need to realize that judges and politicians think they're better and more important than anyone and they don't hide it anymore. How many times do these assholes call police stations asking for special favors that other citizens don't get? Judges need to be held accountable.

I am retired for many years. But, when we came across a fiend like this, and he did what he did here, we would charge him with CHILD ABDUCTION!!! I know, he didn't abduct the girls, but the statute at that time only required that he tried. Is that statute still active?
BS - all the coppers walked away from this, including the ODPO. The piss bum was given an ANOV for drinking OTPW and told to stay away from the school. The guy wasn't locked up until the Lt found out about this and s@@t hit the fan. The Lt told these dogs to go lock the dirty, smelly piss bum up, even telling them he would ride with them and lock him up himself. Turns out he was locked up for murder 20 years ago. Thank God we still have some good bosses like Jimmy D.

You are correct. He was charged with Child Abduction. The fact that he lured them is the element you need, even if they didn't go with him.
wtf, why bother with arrests? btw, nice photo and bio of clancy in the herald. his quotes are priceless, but this one really made me chuckle: To use the law, the code of judicial conduct, and common sense to always act as an ethical and fair judge.
this guy should be sued for malpractice.
