Another $100

  • Thursday at 10: The I-Team uncovers why Cook County jail inmates were secretly allowed to visit Chicago's Children's Museum.
[UPDATE: We posted this story back in August and Goudie is just getting to it weeks later. So to the unpublished tiny brain, perhaps you're the one who doesn't understand "time." Or stealing.]

So when we typed this earlier today, the stolen material hadn't aired yet. We'll update this post later, probably after court of sometime earlier.

In the meantime Goudie, do the right thing and cut a check to the Chaplains. It's the least you can do and maybe they'll pray for your thieving soul.

UPDATE: What a joke this is:
  • Dressed in street clothes, inmates from the Cook County Jail were recently allowed to visit their children at Navy Pier as part of a pilot program aimed at breaking the cycle of kids with an incarcerated parent ending up in prison themselves.

On August 12, five inmates were transported to the Chicago Children's Museum to meet their families. Bobbi Davis brought her daughter, Geaniya, to visit her father, Gean Eriwin, who had spent the summer in the Cook County Jail on drug charges.

Geaniya is one of 37,000 children who had a parent at the Cook County Jail during the past six months.
We think we've spotted the problem:
  • The president and CEO of the Chicago Children's Museum told the I-Team they are always looking at what the best outcome for the child is. and they are really interested in how childhood trauma affects the child's outcome moving forward.
Shouldn't that be the job of a two-parent household?
  • Bobbi Davis said she did not like taking her daughter to the Cook County Jail because it is loud, cold, and she felt like they were treated like inmates. Still, she did it because it was important for Geaniya to see her dad.
How about not sleeping with dope dealers? Or any guy who's not going to be around to....you know....actually parent?

This part calls into question the entire program:
  • Sheriff Dart told the I-Team the five participants were in the jail on a variety of non-violent charges including identity theft, drug violations and aggravated robbery.
Not exactly a "non violent" offender.

And it cost $8,000. Dart, you're an idiot.

Good job Dart it only cost 8,000 in overtime that the taxpayers will have to pay so 5 criminal lowlifes can have a day with baby and baby momma and if I heard right they closed the Children’s Museum for the day? What’s next cruise with the killers on the Anita Dee.

Why was the Sheriff threatening to sue a guy on Facebook who linked this story a few weeks ago claiming it was totally false. Didn't the sheriff know goudie would make him a hero no matter what. How did this adventure cost 8k in overtime to us the taxpayer. Goudie should get the media spin story of the year award for this joke piece. If the inmates were non-violent why did they need 17 chaperones for 5 inmates? That was the most bizarre news segment in history.

Hey, Chuck

Wassup?

How does City Hall reimburse Hosea Sanders, his producer(s) and the other WLS-TV staff for doing that "making Chicago Proud" absurd propaganda drivel in this, the most politically corrupt major city in the nation? Obviously, there is a quid pro quo at Channel 7 news to brainwash many of your Mensa viewers. At least, WLS could balance that bullshit with nightly "making Chicago ashamed" episodes. The scandals of "the Chicago Way" provide perpetual expose fodder for your sanctimonious electronic "journalists".

Read the article. I didn’t know that aggravated robbery is considered a “non-violent” crime. On top of that stupidity, 2 of the 5 shitbag prisoners who went to navy pier have been released. WTF

Dr. Nneka Jones Tapia former jail director with a Doctorate in Liberology along with a Sheriff Tom Dart with no law enforcement background are part of the reason crime in Cook County is out of control. Only morons and Democrats offer rewards for failure and bad behavior.

Did a little research on this reported non-profit organization Chicago Beyond run by Tom Dart's prior jail Warden Nneka Jones highlighted in this piece. The average salary at this organization in 114,000 / year while Nneka Jones and a few other administrators reportedly make just shy of 200,000/yr. The founder of this group refuses to say who funds this organization. I'm sure if the G look into this non-profit they could probably find some skeletons. They get free advertisement costing taxpayers thousands of dollars to take 5 inmates on a field trip to a kids museum. Something just isn't right here!

Trib article from 2016..

Chicago Beyond, a new foundation targeting the twin goals of youth safety and educational attainment, launched Tuesday with an innovation challenge for nonprofits that will award winners up to $2 million each and measure their impact along the way.

Liz Dozier, who served as principal at Fenger High School in Chicago’s Roseland neighborhood for six years before stepping down last summer, is managing director of Chicago Beyond, which has partnered with University of Chicago Urban Labs to evaluate the impact of its investments to better understand what works.

"Dozier declined to disclose the amount of Chicago Beyond’s investment funds but said it is supported by a consortium of private investors, each with a unique connection to Chicago."

The Anatomy of a Non-Serious Crime.
Jumpt’on a middle aged woman and blackened her eye during a tussle, whilst holding his hand in his pocket, threatened to shoot if she didn’t give up that shit, stolt’t her purse and fled, went on to use the credits cards, polices’ notified & hardchargers responded, subsequent chase, subject arrested with narcotics and that ol’lady property.

The colonial criminal laws and corrupt Cook County rarely put a few away for up to a year.
The field trip corn pops had a choice of a life of crime or family.
A year in the pokie ain’t shit and DartOutings should be limited to roadside cleanups.

The most unbelievable part of the article stated two the five inmates were released within a week after their field trip. These guys really need to go on a field trip when they were getting out anyways costing the taxpayers. and the way goudie turn this into a Fluff piece for Dart was beyond incredible. This was nothing more than Dart giving free publicity to this BS nonprofit group run by his former employee at the taxpayer expense.

I remember watching a YouTube segment years ago where Dart was being interviewed by conservative Jewish reporter. I believe it was around the time he was first running for Sheriff. He sounded exactly like Donald Trump bashing the media for portraying all the inmates his angels at the jail. Then he gets into office and he portrays himself is an extreme liberal do-gooder. complete phony...

Is Chuck goudie losing it or just an incompetent reporter. One minute he reports as fact that none of the inmates were violent and just seconds later states one is charged with aggravated robbery.

Absolutely WTF is going on? My Tax dollars for freakin field trips! Really?!?! There's a reason jail is a consequence of committing crimes... it's also suppose to be a deterrent!

At $8K a pop, build a small area on jail grounds where they can interact with their children in a positive environment. What did they do with the buildings and land of the closed jail property? And make it for inmates that exhibit good behavior and throw in some PARENTING & HOME ECONOMICS CLASSES in there well you're at it.

A two-parent household doesn't help when the parents are dysfunctional, lack parenting skills, and livin' da hood life anyway. And if the offenders cared so much about their kids, maybe they'd make an actual effort to keep out of trouble in the first place.

Aggravated robbery is a non-violent crime? Interesting. Good to know we can tell victims that’s when their robber gets probation, it’s bevause it’s not really a serious crime, just a non violent offense.

Explain to me why this sounds like a lead in to a lecture on why the taxpayers need to cough up more (pay their 'fair share' in liberal speak) to address this issue which is in truth the sole domain of the family who had a criminal in it.

Social justice = redistribution of wealth (liberal government takes your shit in the name of the common good)

Restorative justice = Fuck you police, let all the criminals go free (liberal government says fuck the police and frees criminals)

Vocabulary is important!

Ralph Papa Thorson says:

So, basically, Dart risks the lives of patrons at Navy pier to appease some inmates, to score political points. That is unacceptable. These inmates have gang banger friends that could have slipped in there, overwhelm the guards, grab some kids as hostages, or any other crazy scenario, that is a daily occurrence in Chicagoland crime. Just what is wrong with these Democrats to even think of such outlandishly stupid things that they always seem to come up with? In any other jurisdiction, who’s constituents had a brain in their heads, this clown would be out on his ear, not to Mention the waste of taxpayer dollars, to further his leftist political ambitions. The entire Crook County-Chicagoland political scene is just one big Clownfest Circus.
