Police Board Unhappy
- Chicago police Supt. Eddie Johnson was scolded by the Chicago Police Board for failing to deliver an oral report on the status of police matters at its monthly board meeting.
“Mr. President, I’m going to waive tonight. We don’t really have [any] additional information other than what was said last month. Next month we should be prepared to give a report,” Johnson said at the Chicago Public Safety Headquarters Thursday night.
A visibly taken aback Ghian Foreman, board president, asked Johnson if he was sure of his decision. He reminded the superintendent that his request not to report would be voted on by all the board members present, and it would likely fail. It did.
Special Ed was obviously given orders not to care:
- “Superintendent, at the police board meetings there is a duty for you to provide a report. We have stated that we will no longer waive the report,” Foreman said. “We believe that we, the police board, have a right to get this information, as well as the public.”
“It is my and this full board’s expectation that there will be an oral report presented every month,” Foreman added.
Johnson calmly responded, “Duly noted.”
So what's going on? The City Council is giving Groot static over her property tax proposals, the teachers are still talking strike, the FOP is (so far) recalcitrant regarding the Contract. What gives?

Special Ed's no report for this month to the Police Board apparently irked the Police Board President Ghian Foreman. We know Ed was given orders to waive the oral report. He doesn't have the stones to do it on his own. The Murder Mayor is working behind the scenes but for what purpose. Maybe she is sending a message to the Board. It appears Ghian was surprised and taken back. Foreman was not in on Eddy's bold move of waiving the oral report. Then a follow up bitch slap comment of "duly noted". Eddy dissed the Police Board.
Poor Ghain was last to know Lori was giving the middle finger to the Board. The power of the Police Board is only as good Lori wants it to be. Consider yourselves to be publicly disciplined by the Groot. Stay tuned.

So you know you have until October 1 to file and appeal with the Crooker County assessor on your property taxes you can do it online if you’d like they secretly snuck in and did not announce it to anybody if you live in Lake Township which I know covers the West End of eight and some more areas so go to the assessors website put your property and they’re trying to do some comparables at least give it a shot even if it saves couple hundred dollars is better than nothing.

Yes I did. It’s been like that for decades. You can appeal every year and the city gets reassessed every three years. Dates are posted on the assessors website.
Most appeal the year you are reassessed to try and correct any mistakes in the reassessment. That’s why there are successful appeals. The second and third year less success because the assessor theoretically coorected the assessment the year of the appeal
