School Consent Decree?
- In what federal officials called a historic enforcement action to protect students from sexual violence, Chicago Public Schools has entered into a legally binding agreement with the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights and pledged extensive reforms in its handling of abuse and assault cases.
“This is one of the deepest dives that we have done" of a major urban public school district, Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights Kenneth Marcus said of his office’s yearslong investigation.
“This is an extraordinary and appalling case,” Marcus added. “It is one of the worst that we have seen in the elementary, secondary school context.”
Unlike the CPD consent decree, this one doesn't rely almost completely on made-up stories and falsified evidence. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 500 legitimate complaints of Criminal Sexual Abuse and Assault in a 10-year time span completely dwarf the suspect numbers cited by Sparklefarts' DoJ minions who long had axes to grind.
So, when are the teachers, principals and janitors going to be wearing body cameras? After all, it really is for the children this time.

Thank God! Its about time. These CPS/CTU teachers and staff for the most part are the reason most juveniles get a CB#. They talk a good game but call the CPD whenever someone looks at them wrong or disrespects them. They "wants" them locked up along with a suspension! Double jeopardy if you ask me. To often the school officer just goes along because they don't want to lose their M/F days spot. This flies in the face of CPS's own discipline policy. About time the Communist Teachers Union was held accountable.

The CPS, Inspector General,Nick Schuler, is a former Jesuit Seminarian, CPD Sergeant and currently an attorney at law. It was Schuler who first raised the issue of Conflict of Interests, with the way these allegations were being addressed. In some cases, the victim children were being interviewed by attorneys representing CPS! And much of the fault falls on Rahm, who wanted to farm out the cases to law firms that supported him. The magnitude of this Scandal is Mind Boggling. Some of the cases defy comprehension and involve sexual abuse on CPS property. Meanwhile the CPS has their own version of Call Back, known as the "Rubber Room" where teachers accused of misconduct are kept at Full Salary,while they play video games for indefinite periods of time, until their cases are resolved. In some instances the teachers are kept for over one full year! And the number of teachers in this Limbo is substantial. Stay Safe and Strong. Hopefully CPS being the new Whipping Boy will take heat of CPD! Baby "G"

I graduated from CPS back in the 90s.... I knew 3 female teachers and 1 male teacher who had business going on with students— any one recall Amundsen HS in the late 90s with a teacher there doing business. I transferred after a year.

Let us take a stroll down memory lane, shall we?
Early '70's.
A CPS High School which shall remain unspecified, except to say, not on the west, south or southwest or northwest sides.
To be relatively succinct, in the Einsteinian sense, there ain't nuthin' new under the sun, sonny.
Physics class.
Senior year.
Physics "teacher" goes regularly into his "office" during class, followed by the two cheerleaders, literally often attired in their cheerleading outfits, for entire 40 minutes of period.
We, of the not special students, pass the time reading something. Me, I read Physics book!!!
Always a bit before bell rings, cheerleaders emerge from their "tutorings", followed by Physics " teacher, all three adjusting their respective attires.
This continues for most of the year, through the end of school.
I ace or almost ace all exams.
I do no home work.
I ace all or most all pop quiz crapolas.
I get ending grade of F, thus appears I will not graduate with my peers.
I no likey this.
I have chat with Physics "teacher".
He, at first, is quite insistent that since I did no homework, it is tough titty for me. Summer school awaits me.
I have summer job out of state as summer camp cook. I tell this to "teacher".
He still not cooperating.
So, I mention cheerleaders.
What grade they get??? Hmmmmmmmm......?
He get a bit miffed and think of one thing.
I give him look of advice to think again.
He does.
He changes my grade from F to D.

Suprisingly, neither was pregnant as far as I could see.

Cameras in the schools? Please do it. Full video and audio in each classroom filmed from 4 or 5 directions. Show the high quality teaching that occurs every day. Allow the students parents to review the results if they have questions about why Freddie and Monique can't read, write, or add and subtract.
If the responsible tax payer adults ever actually saw what is happening in too damned many classrooms, they would be shocked. Animals in a zoo are treated better.

This has always been a huge coverup as another commentator alluded to. Look at Penn State and other large university's that were part of large abuse scandal's. As a parent of a CPS student I think every teacher and employee in the school building should be wearing a body camera which should be kept on for the entire school day. There should also be cameras in every classroom recording 24-7.

How about graduating the students at 16, with the college bound actually getting qualified professors, with the vocational tract going to trade schools. with a 16 age of consent the problems are minimized. Here’s a thought - hire people with NO criminal history - won’t stop all abuse but will lower the probability. Oh wait ... that might eliminate too many minorities and be deemed to be a racist policy.
The CPD officers who interact with the "people" are compelled to wear and use "body cams".
Why should not all the other employees of city governments who interact with the "people" be also so required?
Not merely cams capturing visual and audible within rooms, but Body Cams, just like the CPD officers must.
