The most over zealous request for a warrant I saw was for a residency case? And the judge just laughed at the requesting Sgt.
You can see that the investigation of any CPD members should be done by a law enforcement officer and there should be no communication outside of the unit. The leaks can be a nightmare on any member since the allegation is making the member guilty without trial! The judge should seal the requests until case is brought into acourt for action.

No not for homes. Primarily so far it has only been for electronic devices such as phones, social media, iPads and computers etc. no homes have had warrants executed yet and I don’t think they will. I could actually see cops winning this because they would be able to seek a subpoena anyways from a judge for records in certain cases that have a criminal allegation.

Recently, a Sgt friend of mine warned me about Facebook. He was told by Lieutenants and above that they are looking into racial comments similar to how a bunch of cops from Philly got jammed up some months ago. If a cop sees a fellow officer post a racial slur and reports it to a supervisor they have to pull a CR.
I got an account to be nosey but I never really post anything. Otherwise I hate Facebook because it gives way too many idiots a platform to voice their opinions when they should be duly ignored. A lot of dumb cops out there as well posting videos of themselves on duty dancing, their partner sleeping because they think it's funny, and just too much info in general.
As far as my personal cell phone goes, I'll text my friends individually whatever I damn well please. This isn't Communist Russia. So from this day forward, my mortgage will increase by $330. per month. For what? So Lori can let the underserved skate on their parking fines, their delinquent water bills, helping the underprivileged pay their heating bills? Why? She's the messenger bringing the bad news. I look at all this bullshit and think about that fucker Vanecko going to the pension board to take $64 million to piss away on a real estate venture. Then I think about how he knew who to talk to make those "loans"/investments possible. Then I think about him paying himself $9 million management fees to lose all that money, and then that stuttering prick uncle pretending he didn't know anything about it, even though 2 of his cabinet members sit on each of the city's 4 pension boards. If you don’t have family in Chicago or that state, look elsewhere..you might make less, but it’ll go farther. There’s better states that have nicer weather if you like warmer areas..
Save, save, save.. that way you can take a vacation while looking for a better job..it’ll be a long time before things get better in Chicago, if ever.

The mayor can want all she wants, but that will not make it so. To create a " metropolitan" police department would take action by the Illinois Legislature, and that would be a tough sell. Many of these small town/city police departments should be eliminated and rolled into a metro department, but that also will not happen. No mayor will give up their power and influence.

Reduce the Alderman positions , maybe 10-15 . It will get rid of 90% of current rubber stamp alderman . Like last mayoral election , people will run , campaign and wethe citizens of Chicago will get better Alderman to represent us , maybe cut taxes . Offervthe 10-15 new Alderman $30 an hour m work no more than 29 hours a week , wear body cameras while working , no pensions , give them expense account for a part time staff , give them healthcare, limit terms to 12 years

The Mayor wants to combine CPD,Sheriffs and the Aviation Guards into an armed responsive police unit. It’s all for show but meant to cover up the fact that over 30% of the new recruits hired quit within 6 months. We are beyond short!

Yes we are short metro police department nice ring to it! Aviation police stop the bullshit after they downgraded them to security officers based on lying ginger who got her ass booted as aviation boss. That part would be a lie,and crook county sheriffs the handful they have what about all the areas they cover, will CPD then be going outside the city to help and patrol with them? Good start. better suggestions
No more than nine aldermen-3 apiece for the south, west and north sides
All part time paid volunteer advocates with no staff. AND NO ALDERMANIC PREROGATIVES OR PENSIONS OR MILLION DOLLAR SLUSH FUNDS.
Have background and credit/financial checks done on them.
Limit them to a maximum of TWO terms
Enact a law to place it on the ballot, and circumvent aldermanic ability to block it.
Increase 311 staff and designate deputy mayor to make sure things get done.

30% where do you magician get your information from please tell us? Metro with the county ahh not going to happen, yes Lori has asked for more assistance from the county and state troopers. Went to a meeting where Summit,Bedford park,and Forestview bosses were at they said they help Chicago and would gladly assist the officers on the border with their towns which is beat 811,812,813 now that is fact so metro police where was that heard at? We can also assist them if they need help.
