Another Nice Bail by Crimesha
- We’ve shared more than a few outrageous stories about what some people have allegedly done while free on “affordable bail” in Chicago. Few reach the level achieved by 18-year-old Randy Wilson.
Long story short, prosecutors say Wilson shot a teenager while on electronic monitoring for robbery, then went AWOL from the court system, and subsequently threatened another man with a gun before cops caught up with him. Did we mention that when police arrested him for the robbery, he already had an electronic monitoring bracelet on his ankle for yet another case? He did.
Who is doing these "screenings" that allow multiple convicted felons out for mere pennies to wreak havoc on the citizenry?

Bill Cunningham and Tom Dart started this entire mess with Rocket Docket legislation in 2013. Now are trying to pass the blame on crimeshia. Looks like shes dumb enough to take all the credit. Nevermind its Dart losing all these guys on EM While his fake police force is cracking down hard on cell phone drivers in the suburbs.
That is the outcome they are hoping for. Nothing to see here.
Just another story to prove that Kids catch and release program is actually working as planned. Her way of having the community police itself by releasing the known criminals back into community to prey upon the community citizens. A community shooting or killing by one of her releases is perfect results. See you all thought she was enabling crime and instead she has this brilliant plan to rid the community of all criminals. Give it time seems to be working quite well.
If I were a victim of this individual, I would sue the county and CCSAO for every penny they have (which probably isn't much) for letting this dangerous individual out and putting the community at risk.
Are there cases of victims suing the city\county when themselves, or one of their loved ones,are victimized by one of the many felons they cut loose on society,when it's obvious,they should be incarcerated.just when you think you could not have a higher level of disdain for this city,it ramps up another notch.

You have to blame the judges for this situation not the ASA’s. Bond court judges do whatever THEY want to do.
Something called the Marshall Project has been released and basically concluded that Crimesha's policies have not made the citizens of cook county any less safe. The office is hers for life if she wants it. It's been published by the Sun Times
Sheriff Dart welcomed him back to the jail with a pizza party. Dart is too busy writing tickets for citizens using their cell phone while driving to be expected to keeping an eye on released felons. Remember 95% of our felons are democrats, as is Dart, of course..
Victim gotta start filing lawsuit against the county!
Nobody get written up or fired and people are getting hurt.

Because there is money in it. Fining suburbian cellphone drivers. They pay their fines because they can't ignore such things having jobs, homes , etc. Housing prisoners costs Tom Dart money he could be putting in his pocket. Less prisoners for him to house and feed means less expenses. More fines to offenders that will pay is "profit" . This is how Sheriff's departments work in a lot of the country. He collects fines, pays his deputies and expenses/admin costs) and what is left is his . Legally. Small county sheriffs across this country, are an extremely well paying independent gigs, Usually the highest paid elected position there is in state. Often more than a million a year (and that was 25 years ago), if they keep their expenses down and paid fine income up. Constable ain't a bad gig either.
Not sure how it works in chicago, but wouldn't surprise me if the CCSO makes Dart a very rich man.
The real problem is the inefficient operation of the EM program. Something is not right. An accused on EM should not be able to escape. The administrators of the program, from the Sheriff on down, ought to be replaced. The ship is sinking. The hull has holes in it. Where are the patches?
Actually its the cook county Probation dept, pre trial services unit....The Probation Offices who interview the defendant fills out a risk/need form, where there is very little room for subjective answers. Each question has variable weights assigned to them. the totals are added up, and a final number is given that corresponds to a chart as to the defendants risk to be released on bail. The problem with the form, which was written by Educational scholars with a very liberal bent. It may work for offenders in rural Idaho, but no so well with urban chicago offenders....The POs who write the report really have no way to overide the numbers, and in fact are encouraged to keep the risk factors low. Speaking of sheriff fart. He takes 5 inmates and 17 officers on a field trip to Navy Pier costing 8k in ot. Then he threatens people who post it on Facebook with lawsuits. The guy is a total lunny toon.
