Rod Goes to FBI School

He really ought to go to Anger Management classes and maybe have a some blood work done to check for chemical imbalances:
  • Rod is headed to the FBI training academy for three months which means he’ll probably be promoted in the near future...

He is now blocking anyone from leaving 007 trying to go to units. Allegedly 007 will get a temporary commander and people are banking on this temp to sign off on them, allowing them to get the hell out of 007. If this happens, there will be a mass exodus while this clown is gone.

Between the watch and tact there is a total work stoppage about to happen in the district. Good luck to whomever inherits this shitstorm as the temporary and/or new commander.
Rumor has it that the entire Tact watch came in with zeros for almost a week to protest Rod's bullshit, and the Tact Lt told everyone they were replaceable. No shit Lt, but try getting decent work out of people you have to draft by reverse seniority who didn't ask for that spot in the first place.

That’s a refreshing breath of fresh air that the teams all stuck together like that.
Would never happen in 011, all those dorks are drunk on the company kool-aid and chase every car they see.

A lot of things are changing, and the city is going to reap what they sow.
Crime up, activity down, clearance rate down.

Our midget mayor was right- there will be a “reckoning,” she thought shutting the police department was for the best- but she is going to find out in the long run that it will cost her a career, and cost the good people who live here the city.

This goofy department gets these government funds for training that they have to spend by the end of the year. That's why Ed sends these idiots for training where they won't learn a damn thing appliable to combating crime in the streets. That's why he sent Anthony Escamerit to leadership training in Boston because he feels bad for him and knows he's a loser that even Harvey wouldn't hire as a police chief.

Why doesn't the government give us more grant money and allow us to use it to beef up our forensic services? You know, that important part of law enforcement that is actually crucial in helping to identify and apprehend criminals. Because all this money for leadership training is just being wasted to help pad these assclowns resumes so they can make even more dough later down the road. Ramrod would learn just as much if he stayed at home, kicked his furniture, and watched Mindhunter on Netflix. At least that way the F.B.I. wouldn't know what a goof he is. Quantico must have some type of Compstat class that will help Nimrod add and subtract the numbers to make it look like 007 is lowering its violent crime problem.

May be the next supe for Lorry. We now know she’ll defy any sensible input. Might be interesting.

On the other hand, I’ve seen officers from other departments send much lower ranked people that actually had potential to work their way up (legitimately).

Best thing to do is take care of yourself and fellow officers and not let some jackass like Rod or Lorry live rent free in your noggin. Distraction will get you or your partner hurt or killed. Make sure you’re still around after they’re long gone.

For the love of God. Will the tac, gang, mission and saturation teams stop working! You are all swiping in and out yet you are doing City Hall‘s dirty work so you can get ran over by Copa and a non-supportive administration. Don’t be fooled by bosses who give you the Ra Ra go team speech. You are working the same hours as a beat car. There are no more rewards for working hard except the potential To get yourself in a jam. Don’t keep working letting this city win. Make them bleed. I still can’t believe hearing you guys doing stops and proactively policing. I sit in my beat car and do 4-6 reports in a day. Get a good lunch and a personal and am stress free. By staying working you are selling yourself and the entire department out.

16 units put in to be exempt from swiping. These units included fugitive, K-9, bomb squad, swat, narcotics and gang investigations along with several investigative and detective units. All were DENIED and were told they will also swipe. Only one unit was told they do not have to swipe and that is the police shooting team. I thought people were going to start crying today in narcotics when they were told they got denied to be put on the exempt list after our commander ASSURED us all it was going to be fine and we will get on the list because the unit is always ever changing and too important to change the process.. I guess he was wrong. Really wrong.

Narcotics? Too important?! That one had me laughing real knee slapper. When was the last time you have seen a dope case go anywhere in a courtroom? Dope is dead. Your John Doe search warrant gets a stinky house with a couple bags in it and maybe a pistol or two, whoop dee do. Nothing is “too important” to be overlooked by these clowns. Police shooting team exception? Guess why....they are on call 24/7 and have take homes, god forbid the call comes at a less than opportunistic time, the “accountability” (for some) regime cannot let something like swiping delay those guys from going to a P.O. Shooting scene to get cracking right away on dispensing accountability (for the coppers). Now with Gloria Hanna calling the shots at a P.O. Shooting scene, good luck to all on that scene what a clown show. The fact that one could possibly think dope arrests and drugs matter to these fools only furthers the example that most in narcotics are narcissistic babies that think they are somehow more “elite” than the average blue shit. If it hit every other working unit, the detectives (who actually solve crimes), and all of patrol (who hunt, work scenes, and help solve crimes), how in Nakia Fenner’s sad, delusional (I earned this spot) world would you think that you guys are “too important and ever changing” to be overlooked on something that’s designed to fuck with coppers and benefit the city? The only way narcotics would be given a pass is if the percentage of NOBLE members within that unit exceeded like, 80 percent). Thanks for the laugh buddy that was a good one.

Not sure if you all caught this part of the Jussie saga. Check out who the attorney for Dan Webb is:

Copy of Dan Webb’s affidavit claiming he was notified of the campaign contribution on 9/24 by ——Michael Bromwich-an atty who worked for President Obama and represented Christine Blazey Ford.—— Webb says he does not recall being at the fundraiser where the donation to Foxx was made.

This Bromwich was raking in money as a consultant here at CPD during the Obama DOJ consent decree that Trump shut. Bromwich is also defending Andrew McCabe the fired Trump-hating FBI boss that launched the Trump Russia scam. The swamp runs deep in Chicago.

I work in 007 and had no idea all this shit is going on. I think the “work stoppage” is just officers showing up to work and answering their calls. There isn’t much proactive go out there and get’em policing. Nor should there be. Most of the younger coppers get it. You get paid the same for whether you “hunt” or do what you were hired to do. Plus, the younger coppers really don’t know any other way (not being negative towards them). They came on in a new era. The era of body cams, consent decree and CALEA compliance, swiping in (now out), department phones, CIT and LEMART training in the academy, tasers, with a different view of policing and how it’s taught. The older bosses don’t understand that, or refuse to. So much so that they have returned to the old tactic of threats. The problem is the new generation doesn’t know how “it used to be” so the threat might scare them a bit, but overall they have nothing to compare anything to. This job is now 95% controlled by cameras, gps, swiping, monitoring, ECT... the SGT can’t cover you or give you plays like they used to.

What incentive does anyone have working in violent districts or units anymore? Why would you jeopardize yourself, job, possible freedom, family, or financial situation in this political environment, for these mutts. While the ghetto will always be the ghetto, policing has changed. The system is broken, police are not given the proper tools, in-house support, outside support, or leadership needed to succeed. Unfortunately, it is a system made for us to fail. I don’t agree with any boss who would push his/her people to get numbers nowadays. You’re literally putting you’re people at risk, not to mention it’s against the law and unethical.

For the record, I don’t care of a boss asks for some number. How that boss goes about it is the problem. No one has to do anything, but answer their calls. That needs to be understood first. But, if a well liked boss comes into roll call and asks p/os to try to get something because xyz I have no issue with that and would grab a parker or anov or two. It’s the threatening that has to go. People don’t respond well to it, and it really doesn’t work well with the new generation of police. The days of doing and blindly following rank is over. Rank is questioned nowadays (as it should be).

It’s a Different time ladies and gents.

Oh, and you get to wear jeans and a baseball hat. Then, you are strong-armed into every Christmas Party and Golf outing there is in your unit. And no summer furlo's. Keep it...

During the last update to the cameras changing the buffering time, there was an additional update installed that automatically records and sends to COPA the last 2 minutes of buffered video when you power off the camera. COPA receives said clips and reviews them for compliance. The reasoning behind it is that if an officer has already or is in preparation to violate a right of a citizen it would be more likely than not that said officer would power off their camera to conceal their misconduct and begin the process of a cover up.

The current 007 admin sgt doesn’t work anywhere close to the hours that Diamond Dave claimed when he was the admin sgt. So how is it that the current admin sgt can get the same things done without all that OT. Diamond Dave who’s now tucked away at area central with darlin is on pace to rack up 1500 hours in comp time this year alone. If IAD looks close they’ll see there’s another admin sgt at area central who works for tirado. So there you go , area central has 2 admin sgts, 1 for the deputy and 1 for the XO. Compare the OT between both sgts and ask why one is breaking OT records and the other is not.

Should be zeroes across the board Citywide anyway. No contract, swiping, COPA, Kim Foxx, ridiculous morale-killing bosses, unnecessary Inspectors, merit promotions, a totally-fucked promotion testing process. Don't know what more we need. Just zeroes for one month would bring HQ and the 5th floor to their knees. Yeah, it would also mean guys would have to take a month off from Special Employment like VRI and CTA.

And this would have to include the Area and District teams, units, etc not just the humps on the watch.

And there would be good sergeants and lieutenants who would initially face the wrath from above, you just have to tell them, "nothing personal boss we appreciate what you do for us but we gotta do things this way until things change."

A REAL union would put out the message that we are only to do what we are absolutely obligated to do and nothing else.

No language about strike or job action, but something where you can read between the lines and get it.

But of course, our union leadership is not strong enough and our membership is not united enough for the common good to sacrifice a month OT for better gains long term.

Same old song.

26-yr career and Captain rank. Squeaky wheel gets the

you'll need an appointment in order to interact with him.
All this character coaching started at age 10. Baseball

But there's one thing they didn't coach at JRW: how to
throw a fit, pout, and get your way.

“...now blocking anyone from leaving 007 trying to go to units.”

– Bid out somewhere a bit better then make your phone call.
A numbers knucklehead charger no matter where they’re assigned/detailed will step over colleagues just to get in front of the line.

Churning out numbers for dipshit DC’s with those merit package promises, letters of recommendations, atta’boys are enticing until someone with a bigger phone order comes along.

Disillusioned hard chargers in 007 just because of exempt merit maroons, won’t find it any better somewhere else when the those activity numbers aren’t enough (and they’re always never enough) to advance ones Unit aspirations and desires.
Patrol bites but exempt merit maroons bumped up have ruined just about every unit spot, so there’s really no good detail UOA left.

Gotta wonder, and probably not since straight watch started, but does anyone ever Bid into 007 ?

OT- is it true that IAD is checking the time cards of the former 007th District Admin Sergeant?? They need to check the GPS of the car he used to use in 007. Sleeping at home for hours during his regular tour so he can rack up the overtime. No human being can possibly work as many hours as he claimed he did.

Perhaps Big Johnson should create a fancy chart of the hours allegedly worked by Diamond Dave so he can actually see the “irregularities”. Let’s see regular tour of duty from 0800-1700 hours then OT from 1700-0300 hours for several days in a row, similar pattern repeated over and over again.

I heard this from a close friend of the recently and unjustly demoted NS. They told me if COPA sees or even suspects misconduct, the video is flagged and an investigation begins. Allegedly, the investigation will continue covertly without notification to any department members until the case is strong enough to charge the officer criminally, similar to a RICO case that is not winnable to the defendant. COPA is also working with Kim Fox’s office that when these cases begin to come in, that a plea deal will not be offered and that a precedence of a mandatory maximum be set based on the statues maximum sentence.

There were bosses who were notorious for having their desk knaves
and office wenches rifle the mail bag in search of PAR forms
of Officers who felt they were "too good to be SUPERVISED" by said bosses...

"Oh? You're trying to escape ME?"

And if you do happen to slip their grasp,
they'll just call your new district/unit
with some bullshit and then you're left
wondering why you're getting fucked with
even before your first pull starts.

"Yeah... Even though that guy has good
numbers and good honorables, awards and
some complimentary letters, he was in with
some troublemakers over here and he has a bad
attitude towards supervisors."

Translation:

"I tried fucking with this guy and he
was able to get some help from somewhere
and it blew up in my face and hurt my feelings."

...Or something like that.

W/Cs and D/Cs are ONLY responsive when a Chief
or higher hails them on the blower and strikes up
some light conversation about "I heard Officer
Soandso bid into your district recently, how's
he working out for you?"

>W/C - D/C "Boo-Boo In The Pants" Moment
but plays dumb and the Chief or higher
KNOWS he's playing dumb<

"Uhhhh... >Poot!<
Officer Soandso? I dunno... I'll ask around..."

Chief or Higher says:
"Thanks buddy... So how are YOU doin'?"

>Snicker!<

When they look at you through new eyes...

That mixture of hatred, envy and uncertainty.

"How DARE YOU have a friend/friends who can get us
fucked-up if we go fucking with YOU!"

The truly disheartening thing is that
it DOES NOT have to be like that but
the kulture of klout, self-serving,
self-interest and making sure that
unclouted nobodies are mostly stuck
and spinning their wheels on this job,
is quite deeply ingrained.

Especially now with the "cheaters"
finally having their turn to "run
thangs."

I don't disagree with you but I think the original post is referring to them being on call and having to come in on what should be their free time. It'd be like us going to court and only getting the half hour we actually spend in court, even though the whole process for us including travel/prep is pretty much 3 hours. In that case I support SWAT 100%.

I have a hypothetical question: if a police officer were sent to a tac team via reverse seniority, would they be able to grieve all of the contractual violations that are part of being on a tac team? For example, the start time alternates more than two hours every rotation and for details. Tac officers who work tac voluntarily waive these rights, but an officer assigned via reverse seniority has not waived any rights and should retain the protection of the contract, no? Has anyone ever grieved such an assignment? I would guess not, as new officers don’t want to be bricked. Anyone have any educated insight?

Hey dummy, “we all” ain’t lugging around heavy weaponry and special equipment, a lot which takes time to put on/prepare in the event of an active shooter, HBT incident etc. Like the shooting response team, SWAT also needs to be mobile, accessible and ready to perform at the drop of a hat. They don’t get D2 or D2A and - unlike 90% of this department - stay in great physical shape to meet the demands of what their job entails.

Simply put, these guys need to be compensated for what they might have to do. And by the way… Are you aware they still rotate watches? So an extra hour on each end for travel time there’s not asking a lot. I’d hate to see what’d happen if these guys decided to start leaving all their gear at Homan Square instead of bringing it home with them. Can you imagine an active shooter where every swat number on deck had to drive in to the unit to get geared up first instead of driving right to the scene? I can.

I see a lot of people leaving that unit… You can only be treated like the red headed step child for so long before you say “fuck it” and allow shit to implode.

Funny you say that the real decline of crime across the board in 025th is not any implementation of crime strategies it is the gentrification that is taking place in the East end of the District which leaves to the ole saying "money talks bullshit walks" now give me my unit meritorious award so I can walk around like Deputy Chief E.C AKA "the walking bilboard"

BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA tac is anything but “specialized”. Generally each district is staffed with 3-5 tac/mission teams consisting of 10 officers and 1 sergeant apiece. These teams are what we know as Tac, or Rangers. Tac is part of patrol and they do the same exact thing as every other lowly copper working a beat. Most obvious difference between tac and a regular beat cop is that tac is generally not assigned radio assignments. Other than that everyone in patrol can focus on narcotics and guns etc if they choose to,, not just tac. Another obvious difference is that tac use unmarked squads and nowadays since theyre manned with 2 year wonder millennials the uniform of the day tends to be skinny jeans, tattoo sleeve, backwards hat. Tac does not have any major perks that beat coppers don’t have.

This sounds like KM and the 06 barbies. Turns every tvb into the next “big raid”. Her and her clown coworkers couldn’t catch a cold. Speaking of catching, how many times have you fools missed and let a gun taken into lockup cuz you can’t search anyone??

I heard this from a close friend of the recently and unjustly demoted NS. They told me if COPA sees or even suspects misconduct, the video is flagged and an investigation begins. Allegedly, the investigation will continue covertly without notification to any department members until the case is strong enough to charge the officer criminally, similar to a RICO case that is not winnable to the defendant. COPA is also working with Kim Fox’s office that when these cases begin to come in, that a plea deal will not be offered and that a precedence of a mandatory maximum be set based on the statues maximum sentence.

And who's going to be the XO in 009?

10/03/2019 05:28:00 PM

Don Jerome is capable of being both the Commander AND XO of 009.

Change of start times and nothing from FOP...... no contract for 3 1/2 years nothing from FOP. Time for a change. Throw them all out.

10/03/2019 06:54:00 PM

Do you read the FOP #7 monthly newsletter magazine sent to all members? They do a good job keeping us informed. Do you ever attend a meeting at FOP Hall? I'll bet not. Idiots like you are playing right into the Groot's hands. She wants to eliminate the protections and rights that FOP fought so hard to get for you. Don't be the Groot's bitch. She would love for us to walk away from FOP. Then she has you by the short hairs.

007 is the District. That is what they are called here. And Tact is a specialized unit that handles "in progress" calls and focuses on narcotics/guns. Working in a TACT unit has a lot of extra benefits that you won't find riding a beat car for decades.

10/03/2019 06:26:00 PM

Extra benefits? Those are long gone. Now we are the SWIPES family.

I heard that when Don Jerome went to meet with President The Donald in the Oval Office, the emergency red hotline phone rang. President The Donald picked it up, handed it to Don Jerome and said: "It's for you!"

Now, kees me you fool!!!!

Wrong. I am a lt. and I check to see that we are close to compliance. And to make sure I have an answer in case my merit commander calls me on it. Swipe in and out time as well as which machine you swiped on all come up when you run the report. So stop posting your uninformed stupid bullshit on the blog. I swipe in and now, I swipe out at 8 hours and 55 minuted after I start. A pain in the ass yes, but I will save my battles for more important stuff.
