- A court filing has revealed that Dan Webb, the special prosecutor appointed in the Jussie Smollett case, once donated $1,000 to Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx.
Foxx’s attorney first revealed the donation to Webb, who in turn disclosed it to the court.
“On Tuesday of last week, my campaign staff notified me that Dan Webb had contributed $1,000 to my campaign in October 2016,” Foxx said in a statement. “Mr. Webb was notified that same day, and my office continues to cooperate fully with the investigation.”
So we're sure that this will be a completely unbiased investigation.

Aside from the totally F'ed up idea of having a campaign donor investigate a crooked elected official, does anyone see anything wrong with the whole idea of law firms raising money for the campaigns of prosecutors and judges? I think it would be interesting to audit which judges received campaign donations from Webb's law firm, how many times they presided over litigation involving that firm and how they ruled.
Also, I can't help but wonder what kind of pressure was applied to Webb to get him to write out a $1000 check to a Black ultra liberal running for SA when it was obvious to everyone that she was in now way qualified for the position.

Time for another "Shitcaga" History Lesson! At one time, Dan Webb was the Darling of what passed for a Republican Party in Chicago. As a Protege of Jim Thompson, back when he was the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois. At that time, Thompson and his crew of young attorneys were going after Chicago police for shaking down taverns in the 015th & 018th Districts. Their meager attempt to create a Republican Party in Cook County at one point entailed having Webb run for Mayor of Chicago. However that did not happen, and Webb became an attorney for the most Powerful Law firm in the City. In between, there was a foster child, that had made some unpleasant allegations against Webb. When the Youth Detectives interviewed Webb, he was very uncomfortable, since he was used to being the one throwing the questions. However, years later, he became the darling of the Democrats, when on video, he questioned former President Reagan, who at that time was clearly suffering from advanced Alzheimer disease. Reagan was completely confused during the interrogation, and Squirrel Face Webb was relentless in attacking the ailing President. That humiliation of the former Republican President, put Webb in good standing with the Dems. So, when it came time to whitewash Daley's nephew's homicide, the Powers that Be, trotted out Webb. And the rest is history and lore, of how Da Machine, was able to win over a former Republican "Star"! Baby "G"

It would likely be difficult to come up with a credible special prosecutor candidate who has not donated to someone associated with the case. Attorneys donate to local political candidates because they almost have to. Otherwise there will almost certainly be some kind of backlash against their clients down the road.
The only real answer to this is banning lawyers from making political contributions entirely and that is likely going to be viewed dimly by the courts.
It’s called democrat collusion or business as usual.

No comparison. Amari Allen is a 12 year old kid and her parents made a statement apologizing to the kids she accused, the school, and the community. Whatever possessed her to lie, I don't know, but the situation looks like it will be dealt with appropriately by her parents.

There is no doubt that her accusations were intended to drum up more racial animosity towards white males. She could have accused any other races, but she chose whites. Her intent can be blamed on her immaturity, but that behavior was learned. Judging from her family's acceptance of responsibility, it was not learned at home.
What her accusations did was drum up "confirmation bias" with all those with agendas who salivate at the chance to pin more blame on white males, racism, trump, hatred of black hair (yes there is a video on youtube), or any other bullshit excuse-none of whom will take back their assuredness that white male children are capable of such actions. They will simply spin and say that there MUST be white males somewhere in the ethos who behave this way-we just don't hear about it.
When whites are found out to make false accusations against shadowy black males (such as the mother who drove her two boys into a lake), there are fucking endless documentaries, speeches, press conferences, etc. addressing it. Not when it is a white male. White males are expected to just accept it and move on. Any raising of the issue results in more verbal attacks.
So, what is an appropriate punishment for this girl?? She's a child, so an apology to the students will suffice.

What do you mean, “I know it looks goofy”? No it’s purposeful, it’s pay to play here. And these lawyers are blatant, it’s right in our faces. Webb signed the check himself for Foxx, and he doesn't remember? Whether he remembers or not, the fact that he was willing to give her the money shows he supports her. He definitely needs to recuse himself because now there is a conflict of interest.

It is unlikely he "wrote" the checks. Likely they were printed out and he just signed them.
I could see not remembering a particular check out of the thousands of check he might have signed in a year. I don't write many checks these days but I have a fair number of > $100 credit card transactions made in the last few years that I have forgotten about.
$1000 is not very much money to a guy like Webb.

A careful reading of the article suggests the situation is not as bad as the headlines would try to make one think.
However, it does appear like some hospitals are using the bypass mechanism to shuttle excess patients to other hospitals, maybe as a means of cutting their own costs by reducing the need for help.
The reality is that if an ER or hospital is full, you may not be doing patients a service by taking them if there is another facility that has the room.
Only in Cook County, there aint no place on earth like it.

Either you are a mush head, one of his kids or his boy toy. Nobody cares how many checks you write, this is about his monetary contribution to a politician he is supposed to conduct an unbiased investigation on. This is about the Chicago Police being made to look like fools due to Kimmee's dropping of the charges and a supposedly neutral person being assigned to investigate why.
According to the news which showed the event invitation Webb was one of the scumbag lawyers at the top listed as the sponsors.
Did Webb go to the event? He was one of the organizers according to the invitation. He forgot? He is a typical JO lying piece of shit Lawyer. Ask the “Marquette 10”.

There's also the times when a hospital has to go on bypass/lockdown because dozens of family members, friends, neighbors, gang members (both friend and foe), etc. decend on the ER after a shooting and cause havoc by fighting each other, threatening staff, tearing the place up, etc.
Judge said no. Webb is a go. Nothing to see here folks or people. Foxx has nothing to fear. Smolett might take a hit but nothing serious. This investigation will take a page out of Mullers investigation. Thinks were missed but not enough to indite Foxx. It will be she did this and that but they were just oversights. Smolett with be charged and found guilty and given community service and a fine. this all equals 19-P. Another waste of time and energy. Foxx please give back the G note.
