Sergeant Executive Development

What's this now?
  • How come nothing's been said about the sgt's executive development program? Sounds like a way to justify merit lt spots to the connected ones. 8 weeks spent being "mentored" by other merit picks. If Beck ends this now I'll give him a chance at turning this place around. If not, it'll be same old shit
So is this to "legitimize" future "merit" picks? Is everyone going to get a shot at it?

"Sergeant Executive Development"

...Just say it to yourself a couple few times.

Yeah... You're absolutely correct.

"Who the entire FUCK came up with THIS stupid-assed shit?"

Hoooo...
Talk about some REALLY awkward and obtuse phraseology.

Straight out of a Groot minion strategy session.

Only metropolitan progressive/sociallist
muni-gov staffers/twinks can conceptualize
such, put a name to it and roll it onstage
like it's the most natural m/fin' thing ever.

Much more credible if it were
Lieutenant or Captain Executive Development.

Eventually doing away with competitive testing
for the rank of Sergeant is what this really means.

Hmmmmm...

Timing is everything.

Ironic aside that caught our notice...

Beck said he wants to "win" The Policeman's trust
that he has the the qualifieds and bonafides to do
so because he's a "policeman" too...

No he ain't...

He's an ever grasping/ever climbing,
carpet-bagging, political lick-hitter
masquerading as a Policeman.

Groot had to have told him that Chicago Policemen
are both stupid and gullible.

A REAL Policeman would've just let his
actions show and prove what he's about.

Politicians cum Police Executives feel the need
to loudly telegraph/justify their intent.

REAL Policemen know to keep their mouths shut.

A flapping jaw is a liability in some situations.

Get caught with your mouth open?
and get that jaw busted into a few pieces.

Meh...

Maybe we're just all fucked-up from half a lifetime
of seeing so much nonsense from behind the wheel
of a CPD Blue & White.

SCC,

Jan "Merit" Ashley is attending and when she is done there she is on her way to the JTTF. All this after being the Admin Sergeant to Riccio. Proof positive that Riccio expects to be gone.

For the connected like Jan it is never enough, get merit, get district of choice, get watch of choice brand new, leave in 2 months for inside spot as admin secretary, off to executive development, off to JTTF. Simply unbelievable.

The corruption is so embedded in the CPD that nobody can fix it.

If you took the time to look at the home page you would have seen the application process there. Now getting picked to actually go, that’s another story. Just like the Northwestern program, SNIP, and the FBI Academy. The application process is very transparent, but you NEVER see who gets actually picked to go to these programs. Why is that????

Program was 4 weeks long and opened up to all active Sgts, 90 applied, close to 30 made the cut. Program isn’t new, stopped in 2006. Apparently Eve Gushes believes she is the epitome of leadership and spearheaded the move to bring it back. Honestly not a bad idea if these sergeants can really learn from it.

As usual, the attendees were picked before the application process took place. The application was simply to give it the appearance of legitimacy.
Let’s remember that there’s real legitimacy and then there’s “Chicago” legitimacy.

Everyone did get a shot at it. It was announced and open to everyone. You just had to put in a request to do it with paperwork by the deadline if you wanted it. But of course you have some salty ‘Sgt’ who didn’t get it writing in to ruffle everyone’s feathers about some ‘secret squirrel’ group. Of course all those with negative attitudes will believe the hype the same way they believe everything the media puts out. Bunch of sheep. Wake up!

30 will connected Sergeants made the cut. I know of at least 10 that are destined for Gold Stars. I am quite sure the other 20 are not to far behind. Transparency sure..... Sponsors YES! The day I was promoted was the happiest I have ever been on this job then reality hit me like a run away truck. The happiest times was pushing a beat car with my ole partner. Now I sit and watch a bunch of clueless stupid fake leaders who couldn't lead anyone outside of a district lot, constant feuding among the connected white shirts. This department is a fucking debacle. Very dark times. Be safe.

What are they going to teach "merit" Sgts that they should already know? Read the orders, study the rules and regulations,
be able to make a decision on-the-spot as to any one of a hundred different scenarios, be professional in your demeanor and
your appearance????
Sometimes you just can't teach an old dog new tricks.......or, in older vernacular, you can't make a silk purse out of a sows' ear!

If the COMMAND STAFF wasn't just about ALL MERIT, they would already know what they should have known to pass the test
LEGITIMATELY. (And without cheating)

Fuck Riccio. I have no love for the little ugly ladyman, but am happy as fuck that she de-balled riccio by putting an interim superintendent in place. Heard from people at HQ that he was so pissed off, he cleaned out his office the same fucking day! Let’s see what he does for his scamming buddy, Swinkle. Riccio has the nerve to preach sacrifice and leadership to new sergeants, but he coddles his people like no one else. Another CPD hack bites the dust!

Everything old is new again said:

Back in the mid 70s they presented a program
"Leaders of Tomorrow "or something like that.
They were going pick 2-3 hundred Sgts and move
them around every few weeks or months so they could "see"
the whole department.
4-6 months in a fast district,
" " months in a slow district,
" " months in a D unit.
3-4 " at training div, classroom teaching
". ". " communications/ radio room.
Month on the boats. Month in K9
You get the idea.

It fell apart when the clouted made phone calls
because they didn't want to LEAVE their spot to
go to any district or anywhere else. Dept needed
Sgts to leave spots so the "Future Leaders" could
see what's going on.
Also, many bosses didn't want anybody to see what
was going on.

Maybe a nice idea on paper, but unworkable in clout city.

In my district half the Sergeant's applied knowing very well that neither of us will get picked, because the Commander brought in his boy to be the administrative Sergeant. We were all right. We've been busting our asses off for 3-5 years and Mr. arrive on a no bid move, internal nonsense to our district, and not in charge of any subordinates on the streets. He's at his well deserve training. I invite you, to narrow it down, and I'll tell you if your right.
