We spent some time combing through the dozens of death investigations we've recorded so far this year and picked up a previously unreported homicide from August. That puts 500 on the Rogers Park incident from Saturday morning.

Back to the prior traffic stop post. When I’m sent to 011 or 007 I will always stop people of non-color just to see if their feeling okay and aware of the dangers they face driving on the side streets in those areas. Have never had anyone beef. Most people of non-color are not very street smart.
The bosses in 008 were loosing their minds with two people shot and ONE homicide (#500).. No one was allowed to do e-learning, tac stayed late and some po’s were doing overtime. A few days ago there was a shooting in the west end of 008 dist where coppers live, many complained about how po’s in 008 don’t patrol that area very well. Well, how bout stop working the ghetto in other districts, get out of your special unit, desk duties (house mouse) and patrol your own hood.

Who cares it’s not even close to years past. 500 isn’t impressive at all and it still gives them the end of year news contenders that they want. Homicides down 14 percent from last year. That’s the number they want. Robberies are down 22 percent citywide. Vehicle thefts down 25 percent from last year and shootings are down 13 percent. They are gonna have a good Jan 2 news conference

There is really no place that is completely safe from that these days. Scary really. If it gets too bad they move on. The ones that don't vote can be blamed too.
