Be Careful Overnights

The holiday season is upon us and with Christmas and New Years being in the middle of the week, a lot of amateurs are going to be out there, drinking and driving.

First, don't be one of them. You will be crucified.

Second, if you're working, watch out ones like this:
  • A Chicago police SUV was involved in a crash Wednesday morning.

According to officials, the incident took place in Jefferson Park around 12:30 a.m. when the driver of a red Kia went through a red light.

Two officers were taken to local hospitals.

Officials said a DUI investigation is underway for the 38-year-old driver of the Kia.
We didn't get a screenshot of the story, but the offending vehicle is almost on top of the squad car and it could have been much worse when this ass blew the light. Officer Gordon was killed some fifteen years ago by a drunk at an intersection in 011.

As soon as the drunk makes bond he’ll retain Lovey and Lovey to sue the city and cops for his injuries citing that this was a preventable crash had only cops weren’t fetal and aggressively enforced traffic laws.

Wishing the officers a healthy recovery.

She says gun crimes are the real problem so she’s taken resources that might otherwise work on shoplifters and traffic offenses and has them concentrating on gun crimes!
Talk about a crock of shit!
Her office doesn’t properly handle gun crimes either. This incompetent, dizzy bitch needs to go.

Prison is what is necessary for some of these drivers. I mean you can't revoke a drivers license when it's already been revoked for 10years. Sure, you can impound their vehicles but when they are driving $1,000 junkers they don't even pay to get them out of the pound.

If Police everywhere would stop more drivers for minor infractions, and ticket them, it would lead to more arrests, and more revenue for their jurisdictions. Nowadays Cops drive right by traffic violators without doing a damn thing, which makes the streets much more hazardous to drive on, because if you give a careless driver an inch, he will take a mile every time. So make those stops and follow thru. No front license plate, broken windshield, no brake lights, etc; = ticket= name check= warrant revealed,=arrest= kilo of heroin hidden in vehicle= more charges= trial & prison. See how that works, Snowflake Police ? So quit being so concerned about growing your sloppy looking, shitty beards, and running around thinking erroniously that you are “Undercover”because you are wearing blue jeans, and staring into your cellphones every 5 minutes, and get busy protecting the good motorists on our streets. Where is your plan, to protect us responsible drivers, Mr Illinois State Police Director, Mr. Chicago Police Superintendant, chiefs of Police of the numerous suburbs, villages, towns ? Not a plan or a peep out of any of you cowards, just tow the line for your politician puppetmasters, while more inmocent motorists are killed and injured by pothead drivers running amuck on Illinois highways, not to mention the thousands leaving Illinois bars and restaurants overserved daily, and getting into their vehicles un policed and adding to the overall danger.. wheres the plan to curtail this, all you fuckin overpaid geniuses ???

""only white people" will benefit. "

The guy is a racists troll, but he is absolutely correct. 100%!

The cops are going to get screwed big time. Remember Eric Garner in NY? Get ready for this to happen all over the country.

The legal marihuana dispensaries will not be owned members of the "community," but will be owned by rich investors. The state will continue to increase sin taxes, driving up cost of legal weed. The law abiding folks will buy their weed from the legal dispensaries. They will get a good product without running the risk of buying it from some street corner peddler. Read that as benefiting white people.

As the price of weed increases, the weed peddlers are going to re-establish themselves, but now they are going to be in competition with the legit dope dealers at the dispensaries. The tax paying drug dealers (dispensaries) are going to demand that the police arrest those sellers without licenses that are taking their customers away. Most of the unregulated peddlers, and many or most of their buyers, will be members of the "community" which the cops will be called upon to arrest.

The dope dealing members of the "community" are going to resist arrest because they aren't doing anything illegal but cheating the tax man. Like the Eric Garner case, a "community member" is going to get hurt by the cops and the cops will be the bad guys.

In my modest opinion, they should just legalize the drug and avoid these problems.

Anybody who can't see this as a "lose -lose" for the police is, well, smoking dope.

It is part of the reason why big chunks of money just disappear into black holes and are never seen again.

At least there will be some professionals involved now. That should reduce the administrative costs and improve the returns, by at least a small amount. It will make a fair amount of difference over time but won't resolve the under funding problem.

SCC If you could read this article (linked) on Sheriff Dart sorta hilarious.. He brags he is first Sheriff to end solitary confinement in the Country. However, he has to chain problem inmates to tables like dogs for hours a day. Also Suntimes columnist Mark Browns wife is quoted in the article that she is a former journalist herself and could never work for any other law enforcement official other than Sheriff Dart (like we are all Neanderthals). It rather hilarious that he brags about ending solitary confinement but has all these inmates chained to tables like animals like that is more humane. There was also a CBS news piece last week that Dart spent 90 million last year in lawsuits related to inmate attacks on transport buses. Just insane!

What you’re saying has valid points. However you’re forgetting some important details. Legal weed will be grown in the US in a lab and be tested as “safe for use.” Whereas black market weed is coming from Drug Cartels. These organizations are terrorists and are responsible for a vast array of criminal activity worldwide. So yes we need to enforce the law and arrest those selling black market weed. Not possession of small amounts but distributors etc. Do we allow bootleggers to sell illegal booze? Do we allow illegal cigarettes? Many minorities smoke cigarettes, they’re up to like $12 a pack that’s almost $10 in tax a pack. Don’t see the community getting in on the manufacturing and sales of cigarettes.

The minority community will protest and boycott until they’re given someone for free. Jessie Jackson was awarded a beer distributor ship for his brother from Budweiser. Made them millions. That’s some bs if you ask me. All I keep getting g is higher taxes and being told I don’t qualify for any financial aid because I make too much money and I can afford

Anybody who can't see this as a "lose -lose" for the police is, well, smoking dope.

To the old timer who referenced “snowflakes” who need to enforce minor traffic.

First of all, I highly doubt you are the police from your tone.
Second of all, you obviously haven’t been to traffic court in the last 10-15 years give or take.
More often than not, everything is arbitrarily dismissed, so there’s no consequences anyways- even if enforcement action is taken.
Why drive all the way to traffic court and pay for parking, to risk deviations/time for minor court infractions, only to have the charges thrown out anyways?

If nothing else, police are adaptable. We have been conditioned that our efforts were useless.

Cops always get fucked when dealing with new laws coming into effect that part way legalize what has been for decades illicit. What else is new? Matters are more how the media spins any incident or non-incident trumped up into something then the event itself.

Arrest and take into custody and not give a mere citation to a dope smoker in public? See how that plays out... Online and in the fake news press and so forth.

That is part of the grind when it comes to enforcing order in a State (or city) where the laws don't match up to the ideal.

Illinois was exceeded only by Pennsylvania in the number of local pension funds. Consolidation makes fiscal sense in many ways including hundreds of fewer board members to go to educational seminars in warm climates in the winter with expenses picked up by the fund. It also will eliminate thousands of dollars in fees paid to investment consulting firms, asset manager firms, actuarials and the salaries and benefits for in-house employees.

All we see/read are the political attacks, political ass kissing, but nothing regarding the membership. Your job is to represent the members, not trying to push your own policies for personal gain. We all know Kevin was just a puppet, bashing him would be a waste of oxygen. Marty, please tell the members what your personal assistant (paid for with the member's dues) has done for you. Where is this person? Has anyone ever met this ghost payroll individual? Which one of the members will ask to look at the books? Lot of skeletons in that closet. Be smart and vote for the working police, not the ones who just want to hide upstairs..if they show up at all... and collect the fat paycheck.

Off topic
So Beck puts out a memo about the broken merit system then promotes another double merit to Commander of 025 right after his announcement?
Definitely into Chicago politics now.

there is a big difference in Cops doing their job by making traffic stops and what happens after that. Sure, in Chicago, crooked, lazy, politically correct judges dismiss cases left and right, and your crooked Politicians do not care, because they are worried more about votes than Public Safety, but that thankfully is not the same all across the Country. Upholding the Law is what you were sworn to do. If the corrupt Crook County Judges let them all go, it's not your fault, you were doing your job, upholding the Law. Those in Chicagoland who say police should do nothing are probably the same Dimwits who voted for all the nefarious, corrupt Politicians and Judges who are involved. That does not take place all across the Country, thank God. Many dedicated Cops are still out there doing their jobs and not looking the other way. They are not whining and crying, and are out there earning their paychecks and doing what's right. And traffic stops and citations still lead to arrests, which aren't so easy to just toss out. Thankfully all the rest of the country doesn't have the same attitude as the cops in the Chicagoland-Midwest, and still will aggressively stop reckless, bad drivers, cite them, and arrest them if need be, whether a judge tosses the case or not, they still do their jobs, protect lives and motorists safety, and don't worry about what's out of their control after that when the Court System takes over. They are the true unsung Heroes, who keep at it despite all the B.S, without all the complaining, bitching and moaning. They are out there saving lives, serving and protecting, against all odds, and keeping the streets and highways safer for us all. Thank God they all have not thrown up their hands and become whiners and quitters too.

Well THEY, would do well to ask themselves a simple question, and be honest with themselves. A few years back, what exactly did Officer Darren Wilson ever do that was “wrong”? Where is Officer Darren Wilson‘s career at present day? Would he have been better off had he simply looked the other way on one street stop? He did the right thing and look at how he and his family was treated! Shown the door in fact. Simple traffic stops easily can go equally sideways. You’re a fool if you think otherwise. Politicians, Media, and Police Bosses will show you no support if you drift into the grey area. You are on your own whether you realize it or not.

Nothing was mentioned 15 years ago when Officer Gordon was killed by the drunk driver that he was an illegal alien in this country, in a sanctuary city, protected by the politicians. The individual should have been deported as he had prior arrests in Chicago but "Don't ask, Don't Tell" protected him. So be careful out there, your brother officers have your back, not the City. This, of course, was a tragedy, but is not the norm across the Country. As they say, "Shit Happens". It is no reason for dedicated Law Enforcement Officers to not do their jobs. Nowhere does it say that life will turn out perfect for those who are on the side of whats right. That does not mean that we should ever give up. Those who think they should might just consider quitting and seeking a new profession. If you signed on to fight crime, then do it or GTFO. Get a new job being a Hairdresser or shifty Lawyer.
