COPA Clears Slandered Cops
The Arena/Perkins accusations are found to be unfounded on their face, which really ought to lead to more than a few lawsuits against the assholes making the charges:
- At least 13 Chicago police officers have been cleared of wrongdoing in connection with allegations made by former 45th Ward alderman John Arena that the officers made "racially charged" comments on social media about a mixed-income housing development at 5150 N. Northwest Hwy.
On Jan. 11, 2018, the Civilian Office of Police Accountability launched an investigation into 32 police officers following complaints filed by the former alderman’s staff member.
In response to a recent Freedom of Information Act request, COPA released a document showing that the allegations against 13 of the officers were "unfounded." COPA did not respond to inquiries from Nadig Newspapers as to the status for the other 19 officers.
The recent FOIA requests were made by one of the officers whose allegation of "verbal abuse" was unfounded by COPA. The accountability office released hundreds of pages of documents and e-mails, but the vast majority was redacted, the officer said.
This would be part of the post we did a few nights ago where COPA is refusing to fulfill FOIA requests and refusing the name the "confidential informants" who are almost certainly Dickhead Arena and his Lackey Perkins.

- The provided documents included a digital recording of COPA investigators interviewing a Chicago detective who in the recording said that he never posted the comments on Facebook which he was accused of. "That’s not my post, nor is it my account," the detective said.
The investigators abruptly stop the interview after the detective tells them that the holder of the Facebook account is a relative who is not a police officer and that he does not have access to it.
That detective should have a slam dunk slander case against the accuser - which is EXACTLY why the Sworn Affidavit was written into law in the first place.

They haven't cleared all of us. I still haven't been served or notified of the status of the CR#.
Myself and 4 other officers are already in talks/contract negotiation for filing a lawsuit against them. There has already been legal precedent set in this same thing in Buffalo,Ny; Colorado Springs and Minneapolis where this same thing happened to police officers by political “operatives” and politicians. The cop in Colorado Springs was awarded 1.5 million along with 246K in a punitive award from a city council woman and her aide. 200K from the city councilwoman and 46K from her aide. In buffalo the officers were awarded 750K each in compensatory and 100K in punitive awards. It’s something happening all over and it’s backfiring really bad on the politicos. Cleared by copa is a massive step I’m told. So now, I’m gettin paid.
No one should ever have to hear that piece of shits name in this city. How foolish of Lightfoot to hire this clown. He is just an indictment waiting to happen.

What I have been told is that arena is a big time weeping little girl. When he found out about these officers he started to yell and busted into tears. When he lost his seat he actually busted into a non stop crying rage. So I guess we can't blame him for being how he is. He is actually a 12 year old girl stuck in puberty.

We are Americans who possess natural rights, one of which is freedom of speech/expression. Self-censorship stemming from fear of reprisal by authorities is what you find under communist regimes. Thank Heaven our Founding Fathers did not hold this view, or today we'd be singing "God Save The Queen". The other side has no fear of expressing their radical, far-Left, anti American views-if anything, we should be more vocal in public, in print, and on the internet.

Mayor Lori Lightfoot is a former US Assistant Attorney and is very well versed in First Amendment civil rights violations and the ensuing litigation. We still do not know how and by whom these officers identities became known to the complaint in order to file false allegations to COPA.
Emails, phone records, notes from Arena - Perkins need to become evidence.

I think the officers should file an Inspector General's complaint against Arena. He is now a city employee and subject to all the requirements of the rules and regulations put on current employees. Lets see how Ferguson handles this one. The officers need to sue Arena and his lackey and the city as they were both city employees at the time.
