Does anyone know if the recent court order to release forty-eight years of CR files includes all the files at the Confidential Section? Because Breimon's name appears in quite a few of those files. We know half-a-dozen stories, each of which would have resulted in prison sentences had they occurred outside of the Department.

GB was not a merit LT, I remember the uproar when he made it by test score on this blog. I don't know about Sgt, he used to be my Sgt on 1st watch in 019 a long time ago. He always said he was a test score Sgt. He actually was a stand up guy and good Sgt to those who did any kind of work. He wrote honorable mentions and held slips for the guys and gals who didn't goof off the entire shift. He backed up his guys when there were problems and didn't hesistate to put guys in handcuffs.
The other half of GB is that he was a total pervert. His behavior got worse as time went on. I remember thinking he was being rail roaded until WGN showed the video of him escorting a woman behind their studio along the river and taking pictures of her inside his squad car. At a minimum he should have been fired for that incident and probably become a convicted felon. Instead his mom who was a big boss back in the day saved his bacon for that incident and a half dozen times more that I know of.

As a citizen who tries to keep up on what goes on regarding public safety, city hall, the business community, drugs and shootings, the high taxes, politics, and just plain corruption I am sick to my stomach. Even if half of what I read in this blog is accurate I am shaken to the core. How could any decent person work as a police officer under these circumstances and despicable conditions. The mayors and their police chiefs over the years have allowed this city to fall in such disrepute and near hopelessness. Mayor Lightfoot is either allowing these terrible things to go on in the city, is part of it or is not aware of these terrible things. Either way she doesn't seem very capable of being a good mayor. For eight months as mayor she has made a mess of things. Thank you police officers for all you do.

Part of his pension will be at lts pay. Being stripped doesn’t take you off the payroll, only the street. If he stayed stripped for a year before retiring that year will count as one of the last 4 years for pension purposes

You are absolutely correct. Ben should have never made Lt. Fred, Bradley and Eddies mess. Pushing people through because of who they are friends with. Bill dates Michelle and Eddie and Fred are good friends. Holy grew up on the same block with Fred. Betts was Eddies Frat brother. Kevin Johnson knows where all of the bodies are buried. But what about those that truly deserve a promotion. Ben walks around the station embarrassing the recruits and talking down to them instead of mentoring to them. Look at her tact team full of men and LBTG women. She don’t take to well toward nice looking females in the district and is often seen looking them up and down and turning her nose up. This is a complaint waiting to happen as i have already complained To another Lt about how disrespectful she is and looks down on the younger women trying to find their way in the department. I’m starting to think that she does not like young Mexican or black females because I’ve seen her treat them like shit. She’s abrasive, cocky, disrespectful, arrogant and mean to them. Last week she had one of the young ladies so upset that she asked to go home because Ben embarrassed her in the hallway after roll call.
She act like she forgot that somebody had to help her dumb ass and she would be where she is if somebody didn’t help her. She need to GO.
She’s ruining moral in 006 with the younger officers as many are bidding out or trying to leave.
If you don’t believe me then stand back and watch how idiotic she is on a crime scene
