Interesting Move
- As the City Council prepares to vote on amendments strengthening the city’s “sanctuary” law, a newly unearthed agreement between Chicago police and federal authorities has some immigrant rights activists concerned.
The agreement — signed by former Supt. Eddie Johnson in April — allows Immigration and Customs Enforcement to “designate certain employees” of the Chicago Police Department as “customs officers.”
Those officers are “authorized to enforce the full range of federal offenses” but are not allowed to “enforce administrative violations of immigration law,” according to a copy of the agreement shared with the Chicago Sun-Times.
But we still can call ICE from our burner phone, right?

Whenever I arrested a piece of shit on a felony and said undocumented was obviously not of this country I always called ICE. This meant a ride back and no court for me. It was beautiful. I always gave the ICE agent my name and star, Officer Richard M Daley star #7253. The star went to no one. Especially good when I could hook a car which went to auction. Can't enforce immigration laws huh, watch me.
To late now, getting close to election time and the dims need voters. The dead can only vote so many times.

Are we not sworn to uphold the Constitution or am I confusing that with the president? Either way, as Americans we are morally bound to do so ... I guess anarchy and disorder are Chicago "values."

Just give ICE full access to the lpr database, would make it extremely easy to track down and isolate the illegals.
With all of the people moving out of the state we need the illegals.

That was all a Rahm bullshit window dressing to placate USAG Jeff Sessions demand when he announced possible cutting off Chicago sanctuary city LEO funding (for CAPS).
This is nothing new or unusual. Same applies “to certain officers” at Detached Services, dignitary protection, etc.
I recall being sworn in as deputy USMarshall or was it DHS agent to work that Ohare special employment initiative about 20 yrs ago.
(I’m also an honorary Bozo Grand March leader and have experience in unlawful Interstate Highway closings too.)

Funny how when Jug Ears was president, immigration enforcement was the feds responsibility. Now that we have a president that wants to return this country to the rule of law, it is all of a sudden a state or local responsibility.
