Police Memorial Cancelled

Late yesterday afternoon, the FOP announced that the annual remembrance in Washington DC was cancelled:

We expect other cancellations, including the Memorial in Springfield to be forthcoming, if not already announced.

Nothing to hear. It’s a long way off. Cancel your reservation all hotels cancel reservations 30 days in advance and if they refuse challenge it on your credit card so you don’t have to pay it

I am retired, living in Florida. Everyday I raise a glass in honor of all the police murdered while doing their job. In this house they are never forgotten.

To all of you doing the job today, I raise a second glass. In this house you are never forgotten.

Courtyard by Marriott Washington, 1325 2nd Street NE, Washington D.C., as of yesterday was still demanding payment for a group rate. Last night they still were advertising rooms 590-670. As of ten minutes ago the rates dropped to 222. Web site will not let me cancel and cant get thru on the phone. May have to go thru corporate offices. Not very customer friendly at this hotel. Will never go back there again.

Use yelp. Ask if they have cleaned up the lice and bedbug problems. I think they will call you back!

They can cancel the event but not the support and prayers. Bless you all and may St. Michael watch over you and protect you.

Challenge the charge on the credit card. Tell them you weren’t allowed to cancel your reservation. They will cancel the charge
