You deserve a break. I grew up on the South Side in the 60s and despite selling my Chicago place 2 yrs ago, I still read your blog. Honestly I cannot believe what police have to deal with, I would go insane in a heartbeat. One question - when police/fire retire, do they stay in the city? or even the state?

Some do , some don’t. There’s over 5,000 retirees in Chicago
