Saturday evening, HeyJackass.com had the tally at four and twenty with part of Saturday night and all of Sunday to go. Thirty homicides already in May and barely halfway through the month.

this violence is costing a tremendous toll on so many lives and affects all of us, even to the point of rising to the level of a plague sweeping over not only Chicago but so many of our cities.
With the potential for deadly attacks on so many people, perhaps it's time we took emergency action, call this a pandemic, and issue stay-in-place orders... like a lockdown, or even a quarantine- maybe even shut down all the businesses if we have to- if that's what it takes to stop the spread of this violence and save lives.

I'm retired CPD and I suffer shortness of breath with common cotton COVID-19 masks. Can anyone please advise if I can get a mask with a breathable exhalable valve. It appears that the best I can get is the 3M N-95 Model 8511 mask with an exhalation valve. Any advice would be gratefully appreciated. The Internet is full of scams for masks with valves that are condemned as bogus money-grubbing scams by the Better Business Bureau (BBB). I do not have COVID-19. I take my body temperature daily.
