Re-taking Seattle?
- Faced with growing pressure to crack down on an “occupied” protest zone following two weekend shootings, Seattle’s mayor said Monday that officials will move to wind down the blocks-long span of city streets taken over two weeks ago that President Donald Trump asserted is run by “anarchists.”
We would hope the union would recommend its members don't make a single move without two pieces of paper in the hands of every single officer:
- A signed and notarized blanket Pardon from the governor
- A signed and notarized blanket Pardon from the president
This would cover State and Federal charges that are certain to be raised at some point by politicos looking to score points. We doubt that everyone is going to go peacefully, and we all know every single incident of lawful force is going to be recorded, edited and misinterpreted for maximum propaganda purposes against law enforcement.

Police keep the peace and investigate crime. They don't handle takeovers. Let an unarmed national guard do it. Better yet the mayor.
Hand the Mayor, mayoral staff, and City Council some Riot Batons, and tell them to go remove the mostly peaceful, loving protesters from the SPAZ.
The officers should stand down. Ask ppl to leave and when they don’t go to the next group of ppl and ask them to leave. Don’t force anyone to leave nor take down structures or remove property. Force the mayor and governor to call in the National Guard.
Since any element of surprise is out the window now, do it slowly and in phases.
Start by telling everyone there is a 6pm curfew for the area.
Announce that camping is not allowed in the area starting now.
All tents and hovels will be removed,
All squatters will be removed from buildings.
Can you issue an order banning non residents from the area for 72 hours?
Any cars illegally parked will be towed and impounded. And announce street parking is illegal as of now.
Pay a bunch of street people to deliver flyers stating the above. Drop flyers from helicopters,
And use loudspeakers to announce the same.
Make sure you have overwhelming force, Police, Sheriffs, State Police, and National Guard.
Make sure your rear is guarded, do not allow infiltration.
Start at Sun-up by removing obstacles, fences, and all their "border defences " on all the borders at once.
Arrest anyone that interferes. Do not chase them away, ARREST THEM.

Next step, establish a police presence on all the streets, block by block.
Enter every building on the block with police, city housing inspectors and previously obtained building owner and hopefully tenant permissions.
Remove anyone that is not a lawful tenant. Do not necessarily arrest them, just move them out, and tell them to stay out for 48 hours.
(Hell, Give them a bus ticket out of state and $20 if they agree, remember your job is to bring peace and order to Capitol Hill)
Clear the roofs, clear the streets, clear the parks slowly, systematically, and arrest anyone that illegally interferes.
Bring in HazMat teams to get rid of needles, feces, etc.
Bring in cleaning teams to remove all the garbage, graffiti, posters, etc.
Bring in the street cleaners, garbage trucks, empty all the dumpsters and trash cans
clean and/or replace every sign. Fix every streetlight and traffic light.
Demand building owners fix every exterior light, and light them up dusk to dawn.
If it takes more than a day, enforce the curfew, no one on the streets.
Post a squad of police/guard on every block for the next week and next weekend.
Flood the area with undercover police for weeks.
Harden up the other Precinct Stations. They will attempt to distract you by attacking them and city hall. This is where the National Guard comes in handy. Put a company of them at each.
Make sure everyone sees the overwhelming force, don't hide it, publicize it!!!
Only a crazy person will take that on.
The job is to do this slowly, methodically, and as peacefully as the opposition lets you.
Make the cops the enemy for decades, put cameras on them, them ask them to do real police work. What could go wrong?

Hi SCC - Seven-year SPD officer here. Not sure what the news looks like but the CHAZ/CHOP/CCCP or whatever they’re calling it is a lot dumber than any of this. No armed enforcement, no insurrection, just a bunch of hippies playing Utopia like Seattle’s some kind of upstate NY farm from the 70s. Most of us on the force here would be happy to leave them alone but you know how it goes. Stay safe brothers and sisters and SCC keep up the good work.

But if you say so I guess CHOP is just a hippie block party after all. Now we hope is just fades away but understand it sets an awful precedent both legally and politically.
