The prof came across as kind of a liberal hippie so he probably didn't like it, but to his credit he kept it clean in the classroom and I got a fine grade with no complaints. Maybe it's gone downhill in recent years, but the university was a good deal when I was there. I give much credit to the strong influence of the engineering college, naturally. UC Berkeley also cleaned up its act when it started to become recognized as a top school for technical disciplines.
