- Two men were ordered held on $200,000 bail Wednesday in connection to a midday Loop shootout that broke out when one of the men, who was holding a baby, was shot at as he stood outside the Congress Hotel.
Davarius Minor handed off the infant to someone else before pulling out a pistol with an extended magazine Tuesday, firing nine shots in self-defense at his attacker at Michigan Avenue and Harrison Street, Cook County prosecutors said.
No one was shot in the exchange that was witnessed by Chicago police officers patrolling nearby, Assistant State’s Attorney James Murphy said.
After the shots were fired, Minor and two others got into a vehicle, driven by Daquan Dunn, leading officers on a high-speed chase through the South Loop, Murphy said.
What the article doesn't mention is that the future Father-of-the Year candidate properly strapped his child into a car seat before speeding through downtown at over 80 MPH.

She needs to open up downtown so occupancy of the hotels can get back up. When occupancy goes up so do prices driving away the one night partners. Also, if your room occupancy is 4 people then you are only allowed 4 in the room with the names of the 4 people given at check in. Anyone trying to get in an elevator has to show the hotel key which is scanned and then they can go up to their room. It’s the only way they are going to stop the parties in these hotel rooms. These parties at hotel rooms and air b and bs are what is driving the ghetto shootings downtown.

He had picked up packages from his apt management company(Hyde Park area) when a passing black male commented that he should rob him. My son mistakenly thought it was a joke and the black then said he was going to follow him home, rob him and kill him. My son's Uber then showed up and he got in quickly. He claims that nothing would have happened in broad daylight. I told him I disagreed. Can anyone tell me what the real crime situation is in Hyde Park?

Nobody gives a fuck about these people, otherwise they would already have adequate housing, but once "adequate" is achieved, they can't be used as the menacing force the Third Amendment tried to protect us from. Don't forget this is the plan, to seize real estate the way they have on the South and West sides, commandeering whole areas.
