After today though, posting is almost certain to be delayed, sporadic and whatever else is dictated by the events following the election. We will do what we can, but as always, we warn the readers that family and sleep come first.

Off topic. I recently got VOLUNtold to go to the community safety team South and our lieutenant is constantly telling us to get guns. Is there a quota that I’m not aware of? Lieutenant C comes across like a supervisor from the 80’s who is always encouraging us to kick in doors and point guns at everyone during stops. I may only have a couple years on but I really hope this guy just has a warp sense of humor. Just on here to vent! Stay safe!

McPier, the governmental body that runs McCormick Place, passed on proposals from Pepper Construction and Power Construction Company, which reportedly offered to either forgo fees or donate payment to pandemic relief to avoid profiting from a humanitarian disaster.

Mayekar was intimately involved in the selection process of Walsh Construction; the Sun-Times reported that he emailed city officials to set up the facility at McCormick Place, as well as additional treatment centers at three previously closed hospitals.

Whatever happens after this election, I will never look at MSM and social media platforms as being honest. I am critical of almost all stories now and looking for the political bias is really getting on my wife's nerves.

Before this year politics was so off my radar I barely had time to vote. Really didn't care much to be honest. But this year it is different. I feel like it is more personal and I had a thirst for information. One of my buddies who is a cop really didn't want to talk about all the shit he had to put up with and he directed me here and I haven't left. Your stories have been invaluable and it has led me to so many more links and information. SSC has served as a catalyst for change and I am so appreciative to be a part of the CPD world. "Supposed" being the operative word. Each and every judge looks at things through the lens of their experience. All other things being equal they default to this view. Not one of them is truly impartial. Been following the Supreme Court appointment process lately? Seems like most people think justices fall on one side or the other.
10:13am. Sell food , they feed the community , give out candy , coats , bookbags , breakfast and lunch everyday for CPS students that are not attending class . Let the city treat our over worked Police 👮🏻♀️ to dinner or lunch .

Off topic. I recently got VOLUNtold to go to the community safety team South and our lieutenant is constantly telling us to get guns. Is there a quota that I’m not aware of? Lieutenant C comes across like a supervisor from the 80’s who is always encouraging us to kick in doors and point guns at everyone during stops. I may only have a couple years on but I really hope this guy just has a warp sense of humor. Just on here to vent! Stay safe!

I was on the 714 team, and I was so glad when I left. I'm not getting micromanaged like that nor getting degraded for not being proactive. I'm not trying to attend anyones funeral for a stupid card or +1, I'm not trying to die from non-sense and bullshit dime bags. I plan to retire from this job in one piece, and doing it right. Fuck the hoodtrash drama and the +1 dealio, I answer my calls and if I hear a PO introuble I will fly like a F-15 flying over a warzone to you. Other than that they know my stance on that crap.

Thanks SCC for all your work and keeping us civilians informed about the truth in news stories. Everything that the MSM told us was missing some key information that put the dots together. Learned a great deal about politics and policing and did my best to inform others about what it means to be a police officer in 2020. Be safe.
