I would just like to know what the department is going to do to recover from not having any district or unit Christmas parties this year?! This is the time of year when I would normally get my hustle and flow going for the Exempts. Selling Christmas Party tickets for them is usually a time honored tradition for me. The secret is to corner PPOs and tell them that if they don't buy any tickets that they will get fired. It also helps to tell the cheap Scrooges whom refuse to waste their money that the party isn't for the Gold Stars (hee hee) but for the retirees.
In years past I would be rewarded for my ticket sales by recieving a new fire extinguisher sized mace duster, a framed, platinum honorable mention, and most importantly, a year long contract guaranteeing that I will never have to do a yucky traffic accident report. Now, I will be left with nothing but my pending lawsuits come the new year. This coronavirus has destroyed CPD and I fear we will never recover.

A part time job paying $17/hour with no benefits, and its been declined by city hall. No, the better question is "why did Quarterman get promoted?". Previous poster was absolutely correct. She got dumped from the D unit to 002 as a Sgt. because she was NEVER at work so she had no clue what was going on with the robbery and burglary cases in Area 2 (same as Saadia Carter the brief time she was there). Then when Compstat time came, she never had any answers so McCarthy got fed up and dumped her. NO ONE in Area 2 was upset when she left (same as Saadia Carter). She was Eddie's pick for meritorious Lt. and he promoted her to Commander of 003. Dana Starks is her real clout though.

Yup No Christmas parties allowed. It’s against Lightfoot’s COVID safety restrictions. Maybe you’re in the wrong district or the wrong career, snowflake. JW is a straight shooter. He’s actually a good supervisor. He’s someone who does things by the book and will not lie, cheat, or stab you in the back or talk shit about you behind your back when you’re not around. Whoever keeps asking about sergeants being promoted....yeah fucking right. This department knows that they cannot strip the rank of patrolman any further without any recruits in the academy. Study harder for the upcoming exam. Lieutenants are a maybe. The sergeant rank can still be stripped 10 or 15.

I would just like to know what the department is going to do to recover from not having any district or unit Christmas parties this year?! This is the time of year when I would normally get my hustle and flow going for the Exempts. Selling Christmas Party tickets for them is usually a time honored tradition for me. The secret is to corner PPOs and tell them that if they don't buy any tickets that they will get fired. It also helps to tell the cheap Scrooges whom refuse to waste their money that the party isn't for the Gold Stars (hee hee) but for the retirees.
In years past I would be rewarded for my ticket sales by recieving a new fire extinguisher sized mace duster, a framed, platinum honorable mention, and most importantly, a year long contract guaranteeing that I will never have to do a yucky traffic accident report. Now, I will be left with nothing but my pending lawsuits come the new year. This coronavirus has destroyed CPD and I fear we will never recover.

Nothing new. Bosses on CFD have been doing this for awhile. They do it just prior to retiring , so they get the 55 health insurance and other benefits. Really doesn’t cost them anything on pension as it’s the average of the last 48 months and if they do it a month before retiring 47 of the 48 months will be at exempt salary

Not happening. This has already been discussed and taken off the table. Promotions of sergeants and above plus retirements will leave patrol with the bare minimum amount of officers to operate each watch. Anyway, why have detectives, if they weren't able to solve crimes before, they will definitely be wasting their times in the future.

Quarterman is seriously, using the coined phrase, "Da Real Police" and took care of her all of her people under her command, did not as some idiot stated above curse out staff. 003 was gutted of P.O.'s and it's tack teams but still was one of the best run districts in spite of. Why was she fired? A. Because she isnt in the merit hack club. B. The clergy didnt like her because she was doing her job and not being their slave. Carter and the rest of those overpromoted idiots had no issue demoting her because they along with Brown and Groot Acquiesce to these clergy hustlers who do jack shit for the city but perpetuate crime and lawlesness.

Ex Dumped Fake Commander Eve Quarterman should not have been promoted period. Barb West promoted her because she was too stupid to ever be any competition for her. She was booted out of the D. She was moved from side to side and still never once got the nack of being in the D. And she was merit. Dana Starks had her promoted. When she came here to 003 she immediately went on the medical when they gave us a Captain. She was on more vacations and used more medical time than she was ever at work. She cursed out two citizens at the desk and was too stupid to pay attention to the police officer’s body worn camera, because she is not the police and didn’t know what it was. She dumped the Tact Lieutenant her first day. The officers and citizens loved him and he was the police. She feels threatened by anyone who will stand up to her. ABSOLUTE LIES. She got passed around Area 2 Det Div. as a Sgt. from HGS to SVU to RBT, because she was useless. All of the Lts at the time complained about her but the Commander, Eddie Welch was afraid to get rid of her because of her clout. I don't care how good a supervisor you think she is, NOBODY leaves the D unit to go back to Patrol voluntarily, ESPECIALLY a supervisor. And the ONLY reason she was made the School Sgt. in 002 was because Crystal King Smith was taking care of her.

It’s sad Commander Steve Chung hasn’t made Deputy or Chief. He rose the ranks by test and is loved by the troops.

So what is Eric Carter’s wife job description? Another promotion to Captain GTFO. This is insane. Who is making these decisions maybe Dana Starks still has some juice with Groot because they’re all tied into that CAPS guy who shows up on every police shooting. That dude is tight with Groot and the Carter’s .
This is why the entire department has low morale. At least 75% that has been promoted in the last 2 years, either cheated, lied, sleep with the bosses or their friends, kissed ass, threw someone under the bus to gain a spot, was sworn the secret silence, is connected to the Carter’s, scared of their own shadow, and was a pick etc.
I can go on and on but why waste time calling them out. Just know that for all your lies and unfaithfulness to God, you too shall pay for your inequities, don’t think every shut eye is sleep. He sits high and look low. If you’re not putting yourself in a position to help and be concerned about the welfare of others and so self centered on your own gains, you too will fail.
People are not laughing with you but laughing at you. Bear down, your day is coming and all those that you looked down upon will be beside you but not with you. REMEMBER THAT my fellow men and women in blue.
Anybody surprised that politicians run this Department's personnel moves is living in a cave. Thanks to a couple of aldermen and a Congressman ( who ran for Mayor ) Jimmy "I never passed a test my uncle was Ernie Hernandez" Sanchez is Back. Wasn't there some Video on the IG and promotions and hiring we all had to watch? Again, that is for thee and not for me..

ABSOLUTE LIES. She got passed around Area 2 Det Div. as a Sgt. from HGS to SVU to RBT, because she was useless. All of the Lts at the time complained about her but the Commander, Eddie Welch was afraid to get rid of her because of her clout. I don't care how good a supervisor you think she is, NOBODY leaves the D unit to go back to Patrol voluntarily, ESPECIALLY a supervisor. And the ONLY reason she was made the School Sgt. in 002 was because Crystal King Smith was taking care of her.
Numb nuts CKS wasnt the Commander in 002 when Quarterman arrived and when cks and her over promoted ass got there she and Quarterman constantly bumped heads cause Quarterman kisses no ass. Get your facts together before you lie and try to tear someone down crackhead. Quarteman left the D unit to became the School Sgt because it enabled her to spend more time with her kids, you know family, something coppers on this job hold near and dear and bitch about all the time. Quarterman has no clout except her work ethic and knowledge of this fucked up job. That jealous fool did. I just can’t stand people that profess to be hollier than though on an unverifiable entertainment site and they are the main ones being dirty and evil. I can post my agenda on anyone on a daily basis, that doesn’t mean it’s fact or that they need prayer. Some of the main people I see on here are the most decent, helpful and most Christian like people that I’ve ever met. FOH With their judgmental asses. Quarterman is a dumb as they come. That’s proven. I understand you care about her, I do too. They did her a disservice promoting her. Deputy Chief Tirado, Deputy Chief Talley and her surrounding Commanders and her own staff tried to help her, but miss no it all wouldn’t listen. Beck was going to dump her but the new regime tried to save her and she still fell on her face. She got rid of our Tact Lieutenant day one just because she didn’t like him because he knew how worthless she was. She alienated everyone and one lieutenant retired because of her. Her ignorant self cursed out everyone and in her small mind, that made her a big person. She had two cr numbers from citizens and a slew of complaints from officers with proof, body cameras. If it makes you feel good keep lieing for her. This is exactly why she will never learn. By the way Dana Starks put her in the D and Barb West called her to promote her. You know I’m being truthful. Barb only did that to protect herself from female black competition. She will tell you that herself. She was also never at work. She only came back because she didn’t have a captain. She’ll just go on the medical again like Melissa, Terry Williams and the others. Just take her lumps and move on. She’s putting her business out there lieing. Its everyone’s fault but hers. You really think they dumped her to promote Rod? They just didn’t have anyone else. Her dumb ass picked 007 and guess who the new Commander is, the same Tact Lieutenant she dumped. Karma is a bitch.

I'd say that the OP is much more spot on in his/her assumptions about 75% of these Gold Stars being crooked then you are about the OP being jealous.
